ahh..ima paramedic in australia been to many fatal car crashes..they need to stop showing fake footage and should start showing the real life footage of fatal car accidents. the worse i went to was a small hatchback hyandai excel vs a semi...3 month old baby in the back dead on arrival..that threw me around so much but it gives me inspiration to go to work everyday knowing i can make a difference..people need to slow down and realise. life is so fragile.

I drive a truck and see people texting at least 5 times a day or they are reading emails on there Blackberry phones all while the vehicle is in motion. The female teens are doing the texting and the adult male and female (mostly female) are looking down at there Blackberry phones. All this makes it very scary to go for a drive knowing these people are on the road doing this every day. Something should be installed in all car that doesn't allow any phone to operate while it is in motion.

Well it is very tragic what happened to this young soul but unfortunately that is what happens when you don't pay attention and you don't take the necessary precautions when operating a 1/2 ton machine. She was being careless and sadly it cost her her life and the only good that can come out of this tragic event is that:

1.More lives weren't lost (physically)

2.Hopefully this will be a wake up call to other teens and adults to not text and drive. No text is worth dying for.

Lyssa today is your 18th birthday and mine. It's still so strange that I won't see you or hear "Happy birthday girl!" and lots of laughing cause we share one :*) Our marching band won state champions yesterday and everything we did in that show we did for Alyssa. I'm sorry for your loss. My cousin died at the age of 17 also in a car crash about 2 months ago. I feel your pain and grief.
