The best, most powerful voice ever. I have heard this song hundreds of times in the last four decades, and that high note at the end still gives me goosebumps. No one else even comes close.
What is wrong with the world? That prepubescent twit Justin Bieber has a quarter of a BILLION views of his song, but Tom Jones, the greatest voice in recording history, has only 20,701. Does anyone think that in 40 years we'll be listening to anything from Bieber? I didn't think so.
@barbali57 You're right--in 40 years, probably less, no one will even know who Justin Bieber was. But people will still be listening to Jones, Bennett, Sinatra, et. al. This, of course, is the measure of true greatness. Bieber is pure fluff. Jones is timeless.
You need to listen to the version of Never Fall in Love Again on
wjhmosaenglish03 channel - unbelievable last note. Best version of the song I've found. I found several versions and they are all spectacular but this one tops them all.
This live version is the only one remaining anywhere where he hits the super high note at 2:29-2:34 that no one else in show business (except opera stars) can do. In all the other versions I've watched on YT, he goes for a more subdued, lower note. However, on the original studio recording released in 1970, he also hits this super high note. Watch it in awe of the greatness that is Tom Jones!
Tom has one of the greatest voices of all time'I'm one of his hardcore fans.I sing a lot of tunes and tom has dropped all the keys to a lower one .This song was originally in E minor now he does it in D minor.delilah in in Gb or Fsharp instead of the original A minor.Tom still has one the strongest voices around.
@9448 yea, but do u notice dat as he gets older(why is that...i wonder)he wont go for that hi note...guess it takes strength & vigor--which wanes w/time. Love to hear this one, over n over!
This is a great performance by Tom Jones. However, I don't think he can do this today. In fact, he hasn't performed it like this for decades.... Age is the factor... Both Scott and Mike are welcome to comment.....
It's sad but true. Last performances of this song during the mid 70's prove it. When it came to blow the final high note, he reached a lower one and extended it. Nowadays his voice sounds deeper and aged and I think it's because of his alcohol abuse. He's still sounds great at his 70 tho.
This man is awesome! i saw him in cocnert a few months ago and i have to say,for 68 years old,he can still belt out a song a move with ease! He's truly an amazing performer and i love his voice, very powerful and he sings with such feeling! Ugh,love him! =]
Mr. Tom Jones; the final word on this classic. No one can compare, or come close to his powerful and thrilling vocal performance. It's something that comes from deep in his soul!

When I saw him perform he was drinking a huge glass of wine and describing his visit with Jerry Lee Lewis. On how they got drunk together. I will admit that night when I saw him he looked very tired and he did not sing any real challenging songs that involved a great amount of belting ability. But he did perform a very good show. I got my money's worth. I assumed because of his love for alcohol,I was wrong for assuming this, maybe his voice was not up to singing those high note songs that night.

Mike I really don't appreciate your comments. The only trash talk here is coming from you!! I am not attacking Tom Jones. Why would I do that? That's a ridiculous statement! The only negative comments here are coming from you. Seems to me you have a problem with me here that no one else has.Why is that?
Yes ofc there is ppl like Adam Lopez, but i cant say that those his last high notes in piano with whistle record is singing?
Tom one of the highest notes is in the end of Ive Been Loving You Too Long, it was here recorded live in This Is Tom Jones when he was 28 years old. Soprano High D was the note. which is pretty high.
you should listen to "do what you gotta do" taken from the "this is tom jones" show. That last note is unbelievably high...highest note i ever heard him sing. I'll try to post it. It was here on youtube but taken away somehow.

Well that's your opinion. I think he sings it beautifully. Out of tune? not even true. Maybe you should have your ears checked. Many people have heard him sing that know music and they all say that he really hits that high note so nicely. I think your bias on your assessment.

Tom can't even sing that song anymore he's to old and his voice is thrashed by all that alcohol he's been drinking for years. I saw him two years ago I was disappointed in his vocal performance.
i agree .... it's not what it used to be. The dry vegas air kinda ruined his voice.
The voice of Tom Jones from the sixtees and early seventies is sensational.... check out the live performances from the "this is tom jones" shows. Imo best voice ever...
@denbody I just can't agree his voice is "ruined", I mean, yeah, it sure isn't as good as it used to be, big time, but for his age, he sings very well. Most of the older singers have no business even singing anymore, but not Tom Jones.
"Strait to the heart" song ! Sir Tom Jones is the greatest of them all !
Great performer, unique presentation, the man sings with all his being , he is crying , he is sighing and his tremendous vocal power is unreal!
God bless you Sir Tom Jones!
