  • This song actually made me cry

  • >Go to random D&W song

    >People arguing international politics for no god damn reason

    Yep, it's still Youtube alright.

  • fantastic song.only that.nothing else!!!

  • i searched that on google and found out this :

band was on tour and stayed in a town somewhere for a week.there was a traffic accident the first weekend there and a boy died.the next weekend a girl died from a traffic accident at the exact same place.

the writer perceived this as death's mistake-taking the boy-cause the 2 were meant to be together in life.so he made ammends by offering the girl to take her with him too,so that they could be together for ever in the afterlife

  • one of my all time favourites, and i agree completely with thesinner1313 here...

well, this for my (hopefully distant) funeral, or Darkness by Disturbed (both would be even better...)

  • Anyway, please stop saying how this is Blind Guardian + Demons & Wizards. This ain't no Super Saiyan fusion from DBZ. This is an unique project made by two friends. One is a guitarist (demon) other is a singer (wizards). They got their names because of their wife who was joking around. Appreciate UNIQUENESS of this band called Demons & Wizards. Not Blind G. Not Iced E. Just Demons & Wizards. :} You'd do a favor to both of them and people in the project who sang alongside Hansi.

  • @c1k4ml3kc3

it is the singer from blind guardian and the guitarist from iced earth. that's why people tend to call it a merger. and if one would like to argue semantics.. it is a merger of sorts. just not a merger of both bands as a whole. infact the CD even says it on there:

    "feat.

Jon Schaffer of ICED EARTH and Hansi Kursch

    of Blind Guardian"

oh and according to metal-archives the band is named after an album of Uriah Heep's. and mentions nothing about anyone's wife.

  • @AnIconoclast I'm very well aware of such thing, it's obvious. Anyway, calling it a 'merger" is sinful. This project is unique. Those things are mentioned to make it more popular. And, yes, wife of one of them said that Hansi's a Wizard and Jon is a Demon. I know why you placed Jon first. Only an U.S. citizen would do so :}

Metal-archives? Is that a tutorial for those who're without brain? :] Please, just enjoy the music.

  • @c1k4ml3kc3

actually, the reason i placed Jon first is because that's how it was on the sticker. it has nothing to do with being american.

and you're the one whining about how calling it a merger is sinful. you need to follow your own advice & "just enjoy the music, man." who cares if someone calls it a merger? it may not be one in the truest sense of the word. but it is a member from 2 different bands playing in the same band & D&W's style does seem like a mixture of both bands' styles.

  • @AnIconoclast "actually, the reason i placed Jon first is because that's how it was on the sticker. it has nothing to do with being american." - Sorry, United States Of America, not America. America's a continent. :}

Now, when that's cleared - I knew that you're from the U.S. It was obvious with such attitude. Furthermore, because two members from different bands are playing together that doesn't mean that we now have a SSJ GOGETA or VEGITO and things should be taken into consideration. UNIQUE!

  • @c1k4ml3kc3

what do you mean attitude? you're the one making a big deal of some1 calling D&W a merger of IE & BG, when it kinda is. it could loosely be considered 1. as a member from each band created a band 2gether that seems 2 blend both bands' styles. it may not be a true merger

ALSO:: no1 is saying the band isn't unique. just because something is a merger doesn't mean it's a cheap copy or something.

oh, what the deal with the america/continent part of your post & how's it relate?

  • @AnIconoclast f) "Just because it's a merger" - let it remain in your head only, please. I'm not interested in your truths and your way of thinking, thank you. Demons & Wizards are unique. otherwise their name wouldn't be unique. If they were a mixture of bands their name would probably be "Blind Guardian walked the Iced Earth" involving all members.

    g) Your attitude is laughable, at best.

    h) America's a continent, not a country. America involves Canada, Brasil, Mexico etc. Get used to it. :]

  • @c1k4ml3kc3

people can call it a merger if they want. you wanna talk about laughable opinions? the whole "i'm right you're wrong, so you can't state your opinions" is what's laughable. and very AMERICAN of you, i might add you may dislike Americans, but you sure do act like the majority of people in this country... where ever you're from. America IS a country and is part of the North American Continent, as is Canada. America is not a country?! no offense, but where did you go to school?

  • @AnIconoclast America's a continent. There're North America as well as South America. Shh, ignorant.

  • @c1k4ml3kc3 yes, but you're missing the fact that people from the country "The United States Of America" are called "Americans" for short. and the country "America" for short as well. so, yes, America IS a country.

but who cares about semantics? the song is great and the band is great, we should be happy with that :)

  • @AnIconoclast Unfortunately, what you consider to be "America" is actually a whole continent and commonly used term is U.S. without the "a" at the end. Commonly used term is "American" simply because it would be too long to say "citizen of the united states of america". However, given the terminology it is faulty to begin with unless I would address you as if you're a native from the continent of America. 51 of the states are part of America, not whole of it. Canada, Brasil etc are America. :}

  • @AnIconoclast Also, America's not a Country simply because it's a unity of several states which represent countries in their respective law. Given that fact, my friend, America's a non existent country simply because it represents North and South America as a whole. It's like saying that Asia's a country, it's like saying that Europe is a country etc. So, each to his own and not an unity of things with imaginary countries.

  • @AnIconoclast Also, Hansi's far more reputable than Jon. Also, Hansi's first on their site. Not saying that it matters, however let's do hierarchy correctly. Also, people don't remember the guitarist first - they remember the singer. Take for example Metallica or Iron Maiden. Everyone know Kirk Hammet and his name as well as Bruce Dickinson but other members...? What are they? Also, in Demons & Wizards there're other members who played along. Not just Hansi & Jon. Bare in mind that.

  • @c1k4ml3kc3

i don't know why you're bothering to give me a lesson in "who people remember most" or who's more reputable- as i said, the only reason i put Jon first is because i was quoting the sticker on the 2nd D&W CD and Jon's listed first.

and i know there are other members in the band per-sayit's in the back of the book. but from what i noticed Jon and Hansi are the 2 main members. and everyone else isn't necessarily a regular member in the band, they're more-or-less "guest musicians"

  • @AnIconoclast a) You can either accept that Demons & Wizards are unique or not. Not my problem.

    b) The reason that you've put Jon first is ridiculous. Can't believe that you actually want to approve it.

    c) Music of D&W is extremely important to me and even a "guest" musician makes more than just a difference.

    d) There's no suck thing as "merger" in music history nor musical art unless you're doing an mix of songs. Even than, it's called a mix.

    e) Singer and guitarist do not make whole bands.

  • Nice Picture

  • Blind Guardian.

  • @G11354 Demons & Wizards

  • Was gonna ask why Blind Guardian was playing Fiddler on the green.... hahaha then I remembered that Hansi sings in both the bands. And I 'effing love both of them.

  • ESSA MUSICA É MUUITO FODA

  • God Damn Enigmatic, Amazing portrayal and conveyance of emotion. Depth and Gravity unparalleled

  • i always thought iced earth played this song lol

  • Fucking Beautiful Song!

  • i am cav scout looking fiddlers geen and found this song. it is one of the most bad ass songs i heard

  • so good so goooooooood

  • death is neutral, it dies not care or judge, it just is

  • [...]Isn't it a shame

  • Maravilhoso!!!!

  • @BIUUftr You can't say anything about death with certainty. We know nothing about it, only that it takes us from this plain of existence and either puts us somewhere else, or nowhere at all.

  • @BIUUftr They sing "To be with you." over and over. How can you disagree?

  • Eeehi!! Let's stay calm, right?! ;)

MorbidGuardian said something great, we cannot say anything about death (or Death, if you prefer-).

I like to read all of your comments, keep it interesting without flaming on each other as you are "TruthBringer".

    Rock on!

  • @BIUUftr I hate to say it, but in many religions and cultures, the Grim reaper isnt a shadow of death that drags you to hell. He is a figure that collects the souls and sends them where they are suppost to go.

  • @BIUUftr death is neither good nor bad, what you do in life is what makes you go to heaven or hell. Death or the reaper is just the bridge between life, heaven or hell.

He is not even he just brings your souls to the appointed place

  • @InvaderTak176 *evil

  • @InvaderTak176 fuck hell.

    i will go to walhalla!

  • @BIUUftr The Grim Reaper drags you to heaven or hell, not just hell.

  • @BIUUftr dumb shit? there's many different beliefs on who and what the reaper does.

  • @billyboy385 if theres so many beliefs what makes you think you can judge me for mine?

  • @BIUUftr i'm not, i'm simply stating that because if i remember right you were stating your believes and i thought that was needed.. except the dumb shit part was a bit much, sorry XD although at this point i dont exactly remember what you said.

  • @billyboy385 i merely consent to the point that the grim reader is a GRIM being that broods in the shadows, he is not a nice dude. and no problem, ive been called worse for some of my less angry comments ^.^

  • @BIUUftr

actually, death can be kind or cruel (actual death) because if someone dies in an accident that could be considered death being cruel.

but if someone dies who's been suffering from cancer, that could be seen as death being kind/merciful. death can be many things depends on how one views it. so it kinda makes sense that if death was a entity that it could be kind in some situations. usually only those who lose someone view it as bad. i often wonder about how the dead feel about it.

  • This songs amazing and it shows a different picture of the reaper. I'm not saying it isn't a good song writing perspective but I really have a problem with them sensitizing the grim reaper, he has that name for a reason and it hurts to hear people sympathizing with him

[in response to posts many months ago.]

  • @BIUUftr nonsense. there's nothing wrong with death. it's a grim idea, but death is just a release from life and i'm very grateful for its existence. people suffer. death frees them. i love this song. besides, if you think about it, the boy and the girl have it better than the rest of us. they spend eternity together and never have to worry about material things that stress mortal relationships.

  • The grim reaper is the fallen angel, serving niether heaven nor hell. He is the one who ushers our souls to where we belong. To settle this argument, Death is cold and swift yet also to some freeing and joyful.

  • @BIUUftr well, that is the only way that we could relate, to explain why someone of the boy's age died. They did it to point out death is death, but to show he is both good nor bad in his play, they said in the song that death said "well I messed up the boy was supposed to live to combat my mistake I will take the soul of his soul mate so that they may meet." They didn't make him sympathetic, they made him the great equalizer, if he messes up he must fix it the only way he knows how

  • this is probably one of the most beautiful songs i've heard. found it yesterday and have been listening to it all night long. just can't get enough.

and is there anyone who sounds as amazing as Hansi the God?

  • amazing i love the beginning before it gets heavy

  • this song brings a teer to my eye...all hail hansi

  • i love this song it reminds me of my lost father but it does make me sad

  • i always listen this cong when iam so sad ...sooo beauty song ... and yes this lines just come deeper in the heart..Just hold my hand

    I'll Take you there

    Your pain will go away......

  • Just hold my hand

    I'll Take you there

    Your pain will go away

Damn I love those lines. One of my favourite songs of the last 5 years or so

  • One of the best ballads, ever!

  • l was addicted to this song one period of my life...

  • I still am

  • This song is way better than Stairway to Heaven.

  • to dangerfield5000 two different genres and both are epic in there own way

  • it was wriiten after kursch had witnessed a car accident..... magical songs

  • IE&BG <3

  • I really don't know. I was looking for another pic, using a strange keyword -that I don't remember-, and when I saw this I decided to use it. That's all. ;)

  • where s the picture from????

  • 1:00 the last "Would you mine" is so fucking awesome, i cant describe it!

  • I just love Blind Guardian :) their style creates a warm feeling deep inside

  • Woah, 3:40 was a surprise.

  • This is great song..so beautiful...so magical...so Epic..so real song

with beautiful lyrics..!!<3 and great voice and music..!! like The Bard's song..!!and like all the song's of Blind Guardian..!!and Demons & Wizards..!!

  • One of the most beautyfull songs ever!

  • This song is like a new Stairway To Heaven.

If you were going to re-cast Led Zeppelin, Hansi and Jon would be Robert Plant and Jimmy Page

  • This song actually has the chords from "Dust in the Wind" played in different order. An Equally beautiful song (featuring a fiddler as well lol)

  • New Stairway to Heaven? No. That's because StH does not deserve to be replaced. But that's not what ZachValkyrie is saying. He is saying the song is comparable in beauty. Likewise, say if Fiddler on the Green was written first, it would not be fair to say StH is like a new FotG. Neither song deserves to be replace.

Now with his second statement, about the recast, I'm not sure why he would mention that.

  • And last but not least, deep meaningful lyrics

  • @Amzingred I am writing this while i am listening this beautiful song.I personally don't think that you must be a master in any instrument to play emotional. If you wish to compare who is more technical than the other you are free to do it.But when it comes to emotions and especially good emotions i think that we must stay silenced.

  • I love this music, I love this lyrics, I love this voice...I love this song more and more every day!!

  • Power Song,

  • this is undoubtably the most beautiful song ever written, brings such a ''good feeling'' every time i hear it, this song gets played 2-3 times a day. followed closely by the bards song by blind guardian or down were i am by demons and wizards!!

  • It is a masterpiece!

  • i love this song!!

  • Comment removed

  • amazing song

  • Its my favourite song, i dont know a better one.

Hansi has got the best voice for singin these songs!

  • try blind guardian - bard's song

  • I know the song, but i think this one is better :)

  • they should make an official video of this song :) its great

  • It sounds like Hansi Kürsch from Blind Guardian. Is it the same man?

  • Yup.

Demon & Wizards = Iced Earth + Blind Guardian

  • ah okay :)

    thanks for the answer ^^

  • oh naaaaaaaaaah

  • great post.. :D

  • hands down, my favourite song

  • Nice work really. Simple (the black and white picture and the font) and matches the lyrics perfectly. I also finally understood what the lyrics are about, thanks to mrdramaman. I owe you buddy :D

  • It is "I took him too early", not curly.

    That's all :)

  • yes, it really is a masterpiece

  • I heard that Hansi wrote it when he saw 2 car accidents in one week. The first taking the life of a young boy and the second the life of a young girl. Basically it's how death took the life of the boy by mistake and to make up for it he took the life of who his soulmate would have been in life (the young girl).

  • its a great song ....although rather depressing

  • do u guys know what this is about?

  • amazing!

  • I truly love this masterpiece song, the melodies touched my soul and I'm wishin' that someone will get it played in the funeral of mine someday ahead

  • i will do it dude

  • Cool, thanks ahead, dude
