Look up Operation Bojinka. That's the real precursor to 9/11. It was a terrorist plot to blow up commerical airliners by Osama Bin Laden in 1995. Those attacks were never carried out, but are obviously precursors to 9/11. The CIA knew for some time that Osama was determined to attack us, it wasn't exactly a secret. That it happened on the watch of one of the most incompetent presidents in history shouldn't be surprising to you.

@robaquarian Yes, Tonkin was used as an excuse to go to war, but it's not quite as simple as "our government lied." There was definitely an attack on the USS Maddox on the first night by North Vietnamese, but it's not clear who fired first. On the second night, they seemed to be firing blindly at targets. Was this event used as a flimsy excuse to go to war? Yes, but it's not as if it was completely fabricated.
This is not a very compelling reason to believe the govt is capable of 9/11.

It lied about Hani Honjour. There's no evidence he was a bad pilot. He had a commercial instrument-rated pilot.
It exaggerated about the options on United Airlines. Those options were investigated, and found to be tied to a newsletter as part of a trade strategy, which included BUYING the options on Sept 10th.

His contractor told him "molten steel," however this was not tested in any way. I'm not sure about what NASA pictures you're talking about. NASA measured the temperatures of hot spots at the site, but it was days afterwords and only surface temperatures. And there were also underground fires at the site for some time.

In the case of 9/11: There's a ton of witnesses who saw the planes. Building 7 fell because the steel had a high content of sulphur, which happens when steel is misforged.

@robaquarian The damage from the main buildings caused structural damage and fires to building 7, this combined with the high sulphur content in the steel is what led to it's fall. Cell phones do work at 30,000 feet, it's just that the FCC generally doesn't allow them to be used that high.
As for your other stuff, it's nonsense. REAL engineers who have actually studied what happened concluded that the official story is true.

@robaquarian Phones do work at high altitudes, although the difficulty in getting a signal increases the higher they get. There are a lot of anecdotal reports of phones working from high altitudes.
The 8,000 feet limit you're thinking of probably comes from AK Dewdney, who's research is questionable.
Analog phones typically can work at much higher altitudes than digital. Also, Flight 93 had airfones, which do most certainly work at those altitudes.

I've read the transcripts of the people in Flight 93, they don't seem bizarre, they seem like what you would expect from people under duress.

UDTs and SEALS both go through BUDS together it was only pure chance that he was assigned to a UDT team instead of SEAL team. Anyone that goes through BUDS can call themselves a seal. All UDTS are seals just like WW2 Frogmen are SEALS. Ask anyone whose been a SEAL they'll tell you that.

Look up Operation Bojinka. That's the real precursor to 9/11. It was a terrorist plot to blow up commerical airliners by Osama Bin Laden in 1995. Those attacks were never carried out, but are obviously precursors to 9/11. The CIA knew for some time that Osama was determined to attack us, it wasn't exactly a secret. That it happened on the watch of one of the most incompetent presidents in history shouldn't be surprising to you.

There was definitely an attack on the USS Maddox on the first night by North Vietnamese, but it's not clear who fired first. On the second night, they seemed to be firing blindly at targets. Was this event used as a flimsy excuse to go to war? Yes, but it's not as if it was completely fabricated.
This is not a very compelling reason to believe the govt is capable of 9/11.

@robaquarian In this case the 911 commission report is misleading. Hani was described by some as a terrible pilot, but this was primarily because of his lack of English skills. His instructor described his piloting skills as "a very average pilot, maybe struggling a little bit." Furthermore, experienced pilots agree that the type of manuevers they were doing were not very finessed, and well within thier skill range.

@robaquarian No, there aren't many sources that saw molten steel. Here are the sources I can identify: Mark Loizeaux, president of Controlled Demolition Inc. His contractor told him "molten steel," however this was not tested in any way. I'm not sure about what NASA pictures you're talking about. NASA measured the temperatures of hot spots at the site, but it was days afterwords and only surface temperatures. And there were also underground fires at the site for some time.

@robaquarian Yes, it has been proven that it was Oswald. Here's what I mean: a careful examination of all the facts reveals that everything is consistant with a lone gunman. The way Kennedy's head moves when he is shot proves the shot must have come from the book depository.

In the case of 9/11: There's a ton of witnesses who saw the planes. Building 7 fell because the steel had a high content of sulphur, which happens when steel is misforged.

@robaquarian The damage from the main buildings caused structural damage and fires to building 7, this combined with the high sulphur content in the steel is what led to it's fall. Cell phones do work at 30,000 feet, it's just that the FCC generally doesn't allow them to be used that high.
As for your other stuff, it's nonsense. REAL engineers who have actually studied what happened concluded that the official story is true.

@robaquarian Phones do work at high altitudes, although the difficulty in getting a signal increases the higher they get. There are a lot of anecdotal reports of phones working from high altitudes.
The 8,000 feet limit you're thinking of probably comes from AK Dewdney, who's research is questionable.
Analog phones typically can work at much higher altitudes than digital. Also, Flight 93 had airfones, which do most certainly work at those altitudes.

They would use "cell phones" or "mobiles" as a short-hand for airfones, since the public is less familiar with them. Also, a few of the calls came in as the plane was minutes before crashing, and was very low in altitude.
There was indeed wreckage at the site, you can find various pictures of it online.

@robaquarian In addition, a flight attendant T Carter was at the wreckage site and identified it as the plane she normally flies on. She spoke at the COPA 2002 meeting, you can find audio of her for yourself online and listen to her story. So there was wreckage, indeed.
I've read the transcripts of the people in Flight 93, they don't seem bizarre, they seem like what you would expect from people under duress.

A real conspiracy of that magnitude would have SERIOUS LEAKS... especially from all the groundwork it would take. For example... the calls from Flight 93, who faked them? Did Cheney do it? It's a bit different from Bush getting support for a war. It's easy to manipulate the public with propaganda.

Of course Giuilani was warned. A plane had crashed into the building. You make it sound like he was warned before that, but that is not the case. And although it's unprecedented, it certainly wasn't unreasonable for an engineer to warn them that the buildings might collapse due to structural damage.

The 9/11 attacks happened because Bush was incompetent, not malicious. When they did happened, his administration used it opportunistically to lead us into war. Yes, they lied to us. If it hadn't of happened, they could have easily found another excuse. Propaganda is a powerful tool; there's no need for incredibly risky and self-damaging false flag attacks that involve too many people to keep a lid on. It's impractical.
