Hey Mickey, it sounds like the 0 pedal gives you the 5 chord of the fret position... Say you're on the 5th fret, A, you hit the 0 pedal and get an E chord.
Sort of like the AB peds, only in reverse...

Raises 6, 1&1/2 tones to B, Lowers 10 to A, raises 7 1/2 to G, and raises 12 to G
wow .. don't know if i could press that pedal down hydrualic assist maybe
