Well, the thing about height is that you may have the laces pulled tighter on the other pairs, and looser on the 01's.

@gottahavekix it's really very small. You'd have to pause the video and look for a black dot that doesn't go with the wings.

Great comparsion and review but I love the black/blue I's from 2001, metallic black/gold I's from 2003 and the New Love I's from 2007.

I think the '01s have a 'cherry' hue to the red which is different

from the previous 2 releases that have a 'burgundy' hue to them

only thing about the '01s that's 'better' is the ankle comfort

One thing I've noticed about the retros that are releasing nowadays. (Though correct me if I'm wrong) The tongue on the AJ1 CDP is the most identical to the tongues of the 94 and 01 (Same material, feel, etc.) While tongues on the other recent retros are different. They have the angular seam in the middle of the tongue, just below the lace loop.
