My parents were supposed to get divorced in September but they didn't and I kinda like it better when my Dad wasn't around cause my Mum never listens to anything I say. Only what my Dad says and gives him all her attention. And when I get mad she's always like "Tessa you're so hard-hearted" but she doesn't care about what I think and what I have to say. It's beyond annoying

I did the same thing for years and years. Whenever I saw a shooting star, I wished they would tell me one day that they would be together again. Now I'm stopped, because I know it's something that would never happen. :(

All I wanted was a normal childhood with 2 ! parents, together. It feels as lost opportunities.

I think I was about three when my parents divorced. I can't really remember much from the time except the sound of my own crying. Two years later my mom remarries, seven years go by and divorced...again. I went from straight A's to F's, started getting into bad shit, eventually dropped out. I don't blame any of my parents or my siblings. The divorce didn't happen till I came into the picture.

The divorce rate in the US is 50%. I don't understand why people even get married in the first place. With the divorce rate being that high I don't see 50% of kids being all messed up. Ya, it's hard at the time, but I don't think it has any long term effects.

It is not always so good as you make it out. 2 houses sure, twice the stuff?no. my dad has to pay half of his pay check to my mom for child support for me and almony. my mom moved to florida and my dad stayed in arizona, we lost our house, friends,family, and were seperated. and every single day i sit and think about how life used to be, and honestly it gets to me, i can cry for 2 hours a day.and yes my parents are happier but in a way even more depressed,they lost their love,family,&house too
