  • where's the puree button?

  • this is so gay what part of this "test" will you be testing ?

  • Star Wars hover bike was antigravity!

  • I want one!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Maybe if it was built like a giant AR-Drone using a motorcycle hmmmm!

  • There are lots of sceptical "it aint gona work" comments. Maybe it won't work, but the reasons provided here (so far) are wrong.

Multicopters don't need pendulum stability to work, they are actively stabilised. In some situations, raising the center of gravity actually improves agility/precision, reduces susceptibility to wind etc.

  • Developing any kind of new man-lifting aerial vehicle involves a lot of testing, it's a slow process. The hoverbike developer is making steady progress. I haven't seen him claim it's ready for flight testing yet.

The tethered hovers seem like are practical way to validate basic thrust calculations etc. They are not an attempt to deceive anyone into thinking development is further progressed than it really is.

  • I don't think the inventor/creator of the bike also made the slideahow. I recognise the pictures from his web site, but they are not in this context.

  • Rick Rolled.

  • I just hit pause. not even going to watch, just thumbs down. Thanks youtube for shitting on us again.

  • When is he going to begin testing?

  • fake...only a model not working

  • fail on the fact that it does nothing but sit there!!!

  • wow... that was craptastic. I didn't see any testing at all just a bunch of stills of the thing on the ground. FAIL.

  • for any fucking pilot out there that has a brain cell.If you reach 10,000 feet you better include an oxygen tank with it because I've had pilots reach 10,000 and just pass out due to the lack of usable oxygen(and yes these were trained USAF officers not wearing the proper gear)

  • It does not look like he's ever going to be able to achieve stable flight with this one..

  • I hope you're at 10,000 feet and have a parachute when one of those engines goes out. Oh and sorry to all the people on the ground below you.

  • This is a sweet prototype, and I love the way it looks. Congrats on the testing and all the hard work that this must have taken to produce. As an RC pilot (and general aeronautical enthusiast), it seems like your CG is at or slightly above the prop / cowlings, which seems like it would be incredibly unstable. Good luck with your testing, would love to see some actual flight (tethered or not) footage.

  • @jesuriah Completely "rhetorical" my friend. Doesn't appear to me that I asked for anything. But hey, you see what you want to see. :) Cheers!

  • its my idea

  • I see a lot of pictures of a static device... Sure looks great, but does it really work?Where are the video's showing this thing in action? Show us the beef!

  • the video isnt working its just stills..

  • Not gonna' go through all the comments to see if this has been asked-answered yet...

Where's the video of it in use? Anyone can take a photo of a static model. We want to see it in action.

  • There's too much chance of it turning belly side , only way it'd get to a hundered miles an hour is if it was dropped from 10,000 ft..... Lmao

  • HAHA Yeah ... And I'm L. Skywalker....

  • sorry it wont work

  • Pitch/Roll ctrl gyros need to be dead center above Vtcl axel point of each fan. Need 1 for each axis, X,Y only, v-stack them, Role gyro on bottom of stack. Coax Counter rotating cyclical pitch adjusted 3 blade fan F&B best 4-increased flow. My guess, might need to increase Engine torque (Gear Down) and HP by 10/15%, we had good response with PARA Hydrogen injection deep in intake plenum, just before Head. Rework CG by mounting fan assemblies 10” higher. + Drive train Lbs, thus need for + HP&TRQ.

  • it can't remain stable, the cg is level with the blades, how can it work without 3 or four fans and gyros to keep it level? also lateral control? you'd need some crazy drivetrain to co-ordinate the fans to keep you level or individual motors. two fans can't maintain stability. If Im wrong I will be eating my words and buying one right away

  • Sorry buddy, but showing a bunch of pictures of this contraption lying on the ground in various locations only proves you've got a pretty big truck and a lot of time on your hands. As well as other people have stated, this thing is unviable due to roll.. any pitch left or right and you're going straight into the ground. A quad rotor MIGHT be able to pull it off, I'm unsure of weight vs. fuel though.. the smaller remote control quad copters have already shown the design to be stable as all hell.

  • wouldent work because of roll, of it had a stable roll then perhaps, but if you lean it it will roll and fall out of the sky, think of tri or quadrocopter, it would need a clutch system or individual motors on each propeller, you would also need 3 or more propellers to have a stable platform, or a single coaxial rotor system at centre G, not saying impossible, but i dont think its got any chance of flying around, perhaps hover but any kind of movment will cause pitching or roll

  • @puggster thats is what im workingon the theory for my innovation. im going to build the model to my specs before i begin searching investors.

  • @crazyryan may a suggest a coaxial rotor system, eliminating the need for gyroscopes and in theory will eliminate roll, flow directors under the fans would provide pitch, yaw, even forward thrust, not to mention increased vertical thrust,, the only downside to coaxial is extra weight, and possibly a whole re design of the frame

in theory the counter rotating props will give stability even in the roll axis.

very interesting to see how the project pans out.

  • Guys, just to let you know this is 100% real. Google " malloy hoverbike". Dont just vote something down cause your too lazy to research it.

  • @lkvideorang It is getting voted down because i came here to watch videos not read and look at 1 count em, 1 picture.

  • @lkvideorang They're voting down because it's a slide show. No one wants too see a set of pictures mashed together on a video sharing website. Videos or it didn't happen.

  • @Donkpush Hold on now! No need to insult the muppets here! The lack of a working video is testamonial enough that the poster has someth9ing else besides a hand in the backside.

  • This music sounds like Lawrence Welk's orchestra on crack.

  • waste of time

  • I really love the damn 70's music from the movie Boogie Nights... Now imma pop in a real porn and throw my hands up and down at this shitty vid

  • i would never go more then 3 feet off the ground on that thing

  • @101andrewj sissy :P

  • why did you post this saying that you invented it.This is nothing more than a 1955 Hiller Flying Platform with the 2 rotors seperated into a fore and aft configuration instead of above each other.this is the site with the original that does fly!!! 3w (dot) unrealaircraft (dot)com / wings / hillier _ platform (dot)php

try suspending the rider slightly below the centreline for safety(if you have flown this & I doubt it) you will find out why.

  • Until I see a video of this thing running I will just have to assume it's a piece of shit.

  • If they can't show an actual video of this thing flying around (without Ropes), something is wrong!

  • How do I get this bitch into drive? Must I shout, "Go go gadget mobile!"

  • I want to see it flying no only pictures

  • Well so far this is a parked flying bike at various location!

  • @reraskol

  • remember when still pictures of bikes were cool?...lol naa me neither

  • If the thing was actually working, they would post real videos and not static images.

  • how did i endup here and i was watching panda bears

  • dear santa... :troll:

  • i wanna see this thing move in a video not pictures cuz honestly i dont believe this at all unless i see a perfect video of this thing going up and moving forward.

  • Excellent! Now actually get it working and post a video. If I could make a request? Please drive it over a fresh plowed field in a white tuxedo.

  • a very funny thing ... try to exchange rate stability - a deadly thing

  • But, will it blend?

  • Bitch! you don't say star wars and not deliver the goods! Ima go to your house, kick your dog, and take your ball point pens.

  • Comment removed

  • you can't put anything, with butchered up star wars music.

  • Nice "video" moron!

  • How appropriate to the title: The like bar is a sith lightsaber.

  • Created using YouTube Video Editor. Yeeeeeeap.

  • @reraskol well, because photoshop

  • @reraskol But music??? :o

  • Nice pictures but couldn't fly.Has two fixed pitch props.I would expect ot see variable pitch props with swash plates if you think it's going to fly like a Sea King or Chinook

  • this thing is stupid two big fans tied to a seat good luck

  • well that was a nice nap

  • I think so many 156 dislikes are because these technologies doesn't interest to a few rulers.

  • F********* FOTO , in my FOTO i FLY without nothing show FILM

  • the only fucking question is, does it fucking works ?

  • i want one

  • If I wanted a slide show, I'd go to Google images!!!! ...and play a music that is good.

  • quit bullshittin wit the stupid pics and go for it !! fly or ride the damn thing ,whats wrong with you man, be the first or il build my own !!!

  • Has anyone seen an actual video of this thing flying?

  • @kokopelli314 ye I have

  • @Corvette35000 could you post a link?

  • @kokopelli314 sure if I can find the video

  • tu es maluco !!!

  • it won't work as seen there it would turning around it's own axis.

Thats why there' re 4 bands that hold it in possision!

Form some info google on quadro copter

  • @xuseIg00g IF U RECON IT CAN'T WORK GOOGLE "FLYING JEEP" AND SEE EXACTLY THE SAME CONCEPT FLYING!!! (EXCEPT IT IS MUCH BIGGER.) THE ROTORS TURN OPPOSITE DIRECTIONS.

  • @xuseIg00g A lot of people said that the CH-46 Sea Knight and CH-47 Chinook would have the same issue, but they fly just fine.

  • @xuseIg00g it works based on the same idea as the chinook. the rotors go in different directions cancelling out each others torque.

  • @STeNeNSTeN96 That's the politest retort I've ever seen written on youtube! Gold Star for you! LOL

  • SHOW US THIS THING WORKING WITH MOVING IMAGES YOU FREAK!

  • @Itsmeeman1 images dont move silly, a movie is just images being put up very fast after eachother. a movie today has the speed of 24 frames per second i think :D

  • I call bullshit!

  • do you know what video means?

  • how much does it cost?

  • @MR1flip Over 500 G's

  • @MR1flip Maybe, i dont know.

  • need to see a real action moving video please. still pictures means it does not work yet.

  • Slideshow = thumbs down, always.

  • Parachute useless is at low height and would probably fail allowing fatal crashes. Average untrained human would be unable to control without computer aid and need to learn to fly. Can't be used in current suburbia too many wires and risks or bad weather conditions. The car is better safer well proven choice, i know how i'm going to die. With this hoverer one could be copped up by blades, fall off, electrocute in wires, so many unknowns. To big parking on streets or carparks. skyscraper roof?

  • @faultyservice

These are many of the reasons why this hasnt already been made several years ago. Any kind of malfunction in the way you see in motorcycles and cars every day, would lead to a potential death. Both from the rider and whoever he crashes into.

Then there is the potential for illegal or dangerous behaviour. Me forexample, I would be robbing a bank and flying away on the first day.

These wont be legal until they are automated and computer operated.

  • @Janusha At least you're honest about it. :-)

  • @UncleDeluxe

Hell yes. its the ultimate get-away-vehicle. Except they wont be able to carry much cash. But surely enough to cover its cost.

  • One other thing, will it not be top heavy & unstable because the rider will put the CG above the props? So you'd basically be teetering trying to balance about that pivot point? It may be OK if there's enough room to hover sideways to compensate, if you lean it would try to go in that direction moving the point back under the CG. I just have a vision of it flipping over when it's not tethered down.

  • Do you carry it to all the places you take still pictures of it. Good thing it looks really awesome since it's never moving & just sitting somewhere in a still picture. I like the idea & the look. Looks like something Batman would ride, but it sounds unsafe, potentially unreliable & heavy (~600) when other land based crotch rockets weigh sometimes under 400 lbs. Not sure what kind of BMW motor is in there but maybe something from Honda or Kawasaki would be better. Props look like wood.

  • Loose the cords man

  • I agree with Yappertrap. No actual video, its all just stills.

  • no video i am becoming skeptical

  • so what do you do, take it to different locations and photograph it? It looks very cool in the street, and the football field, and by the bridge. Take a picture at an airport too! Maybe a few pics at the circus also.

  • @OMGINFECTION -Like your moms boobs

  • @OMGINFECTION its actually real u moron it was in the news and the showed it working so stop being a know it all little douch

  • I think its a nice start -obviously not stable, now add two 1/4 size small fans on the sides (mid-ship) for stability -add quad-copter controlsand you should

have a functional hovercraft-[like] ride at least. -click my name.

  • LOL...yeah with this...would need DOT's anymore....just need some mexicans to cut the grass.....haha...ok that wasnt right...but you know it was funny :)

  • Yeah, how about some actual video of it working?

  • @Medallion2006 cause it dosnt work!

  • Photos only ? Why not an action movie ?

  • it looks dangerous to ride, and quite expensive too. (:

  • First thing to do? Get rid of the roads!

  • thts not star wars dumbass

  • Very cool. My only thought is that you would want some sort of seatbelt. Maybe a belt with straps (for your waist) that you hook to the bike. Falling off would be embarassing and, of course, deadly. Also, I'd definitely want a parachute for both myself and the hoverbike.

  • @jcinaz1000 isint a seatbelt a bit stupid of for some reason it ends on its side because if your hands and legs are trapped your screwed

  • Video of it flying or it ain't real

  • @Redshift21 it's real, and it may go into limited production to be sold for a pricy $40,000, but yes i would like to see it fly too

  • @SIRgarageAlot to be fair I do think it's real but I'm amazed that a guy who can build such a thing can't make a video of it, which sets off my scam'o'meter and makes me wonder what he's hiding ?

  • @Redshift21 well the pictures were of him testing it, eventually a video will come out with it in action

  • @SIRgarageAlot I don't know something just feels "off " about it to me, but I'd like to be wrong because if I am then.................. WOOOOOO HOOOOOO HOVER BIKE.............. F**K YEAH!!

  • @Redshift21 yeah imagin in traffic... people slamming their horns and crap while ur just gliding effortlessly over them... lol
