  • Here's Johnny!

  • You can sell something like this? :)

  • OMG I though the door was gonna open for some reason :))

  • what if some kid just break the LCD for fun? that's really going to get you a heart attack lol XD

  • Now all it needs is a monster on the other side killing people and jumping at the door, leaving claw marks.

  • The should use this at theme parks. Where they have those walk-in horror rides etc.

  • where can i get this?

  • "HEEERRE'S JOH-...

    I said HEEEERRRREEE'S JOHN-

Ow christ I think I pulled a muscle, ow ow..."

  • Man that is AWESOME :)

  • I understand how its done :) the bottom is metal but the top is a thin rubber sheet made to look like metal and has a machine behind it that presses something into the sheet to look like hit marks. Its very nice and i must say i wish i had this in my haunt

  • that's neat but the guy isn't really menacing enough. reminds me of a wrestler intro or something.

  • Kaj vse se ne spomnejo naredit. Drugač pa dobra fora, samo preveč truda vloženega v nekaj čisto nepotrebnega.

  • Oh, that's kind of cool with the DVD display and- OH MY GOD HE'S BREAKING OUT RUN!

  • where can i buy ten of those?

  • wow cool)

  • cool door trick, much better than just having the screen/window guy.

  • as a side note, you should get rid of the movie style sound effects, maybe replace them with the guy grunting loudly or some screaming in the background, but the creepy movie sound effects kills the realism. Also, when he breaks the glass add a loud knock at the door each time he hits it, doors don't stand still when the security glass is being broken out of it.

  • Boa champz

  • That's sorta how I feel when I get behind couponers in the checkstand line.

  • This would be cool for those Polish door-to-door painting sellers.

  • they have stuff like this at field of screams. it's pretty cool

  • I'm not a halloween person at all, and this is a major part of that. $35,000 for a door that looks cool, and sort of will scare a child. Wow, that is a collosal waste of money.

  • @BobBX542 Save that if he's looking for a job as an FX artist this will look good on his resume.

Also as soon as you said "I'm not a Halloween person at all..." You invalidated the rest of your statement.

that's like saying "I don't like RC planes, so why spend money on them?" On a youtube video of RC planes.

or to put it differently, "Not sure if trolling or just stupid."

  • @AngelusDlion I guess if he's trying to put up a special FX resume, yeah, that makes more sense, but honestly, you're calling me stupid because I think it's ridiculous to spend $35,000 on a halloween decoration?? Look, I know I may have offended your sensibilities, but you can't seriously think that spending that kind of money, on something like, this in this economy, is a good idea. FYI, just because someone says you don't like doesn't make it trolling.

  • @BobBX542 So it's stupid then?

    Seriously though. My point remains.

  • @AngelusDlion I never said the door was stupid, I said spending that amount of money on it was. In fact, I actually said the thing looks cool. THEN when I read your initial comment, I realized that maybe the entire point of the thing isn't just a halloween decoration, and changed my opinion...slightly. I still think something like this is still way too expensive, but I see that it serves more of a purpose. Maybe you should actually read the comments you're responding to. Your point, invalid.

  • People are gonna break it...they're gonna throw shiz at the door and fruck it up. Yes, I spelled those words wrong on purpose.

  • ATTENTION PEOPLE!!

Don't install this door on your house

I need to deliver newspapers every morning at 4AM

And this would scare the living hell out of me

  • @RaamonPaiva omg i love you

  • @RaamonPaiva shut-the-fuck-up

  • @RaamonPaiva Oldoldold.

  • i keep throwing money at the screen but it wont take it

  • WHAT MAKE THISSS? ????????

  • Amaaaaazing! I love it!!

  • its only can be ZUERA

  • My new do-not-disturb door...

  • Dear Santa...

  • I loved it! If this is the direction that Halloween decor is going, sign me up!

  • thats amazing!

  • This is freaking amazing.

  • This looks awesome! Amazing stuff!

  • How much did the completed project cost you (all materiels)? Thanks! Great job!

  • Your finished prop looks great!!!

  • how is this done?

  • @MrMrBoblk

Cant post links to where I got the dvd.

It comes with axcess to a tutorial and link for dtmf control board:

    but try

    hi-rezdesigns . com

    look for axe killer dvd

  • @MrMrBoblk

the dvd has dtmf tones encoded in the audio track of the dvd.

this activates pnuematic cylinders that push the axe heads thru a spanndex type material

  • @MrMrBoblk The top half of the door is made of a soft material I believe and it has mechanics behind it that push a line thing against the surface so it looks like it's getting dents in it.

  • @MrMrBoblk The door surface is made of rubber, and behind it are actuators that push forms into the rubber to make it dent outward as if it was being struck from the back, the window is just an LCD, and the video is pre-made and timed to work with the actuators.

It's a simplified version of the ol 'denting door' gag used in movies all the time (Well, the ones that are not using CGI now adays), its an ooooold trick. But visually its very impressive, even in person.
