He amy not play the songs exactly like the album and in fact pretty sure he plays them different every live performance but that makes it more interesting and sometimes solos work on albums because you have the panning effect of different guitars which is almost impossible to reproduce live.
Man, the player guitar in Steal your fire is Alex Dickson, with more level than Gizzi. And Alex, made it the solo, the same exactly, like in the album in concert. About Toby, he is good singer, but not for GUN, i dont like his voices turn anything, Mark was the soul and personality of the band. I Like Toby in Little angels, but not here.
200089, Even if Alex Dickson played the solo for Steal Your Fire (which I don't think he did) what does it matter how Jools plays it now? You have to remember that T in the park was only the band's 2nd proper gig with Toby on vocals. I can assure you that the whole band are now sounding amazing and Toby has made the songs his own.
Mike I totally agree, Toby has endorsed the songs, but it ua difficult task to overcome any band predecessor, but even if the singer is Mark Rankin.
I have no doubt that sound good concert, but for me as a musician, composer, singer, I like the sound is as good or more than the record. However, Toby has a less aggressive style than Mark Rankin, who has been and is the voice of GUN
Ye man, saw these guys in manchester in may!! I remember tht half way through the gig, they suddlenyl announced tht they had jst had a phone call confirming tht they were gonna play T in the park!!! YE MAN!!!
It's nice to see "Gun" again but why break up El Presidente? That band was amazing.
