I might get an Access HD converter box for my new camper. It has an antenna on the roof (and a coaxial hookup for cable and satellite.). At home, I have IPTV with Telus.
oh man apex they got two mountains of those at best buy. kmart has a dozens of zenith boxes the last time i visit. which was 2 days ago. but the reviewer said they don't have the best picture.
rite aid always had a few of the access hd 1080d, their picture quality is better. i dont know about insignia.
I bought both the Apex and the Insignia only because when I went to BestBuy the first time, they only had Apex. The Apex runs great, I haven't had any issues.
Recently bought the Insignia box with my other coupon. Quality of picture is excellent! I do like the remote of the Insignia better than the Apex a little bit more in terms of features.
Finally, if you are willing to spend the extra $6-8 on the Insignia then it's a good choice for a converter box. Overall, it really doesn't matter.
To setup the Apex box, you just need to plug your "rabit ears" antennae into the back of the converter box where it says "Antennae In" and then take the cable cord provided in the box and plug that into the cable/antennae plug on the back of your television. Then once you have powered on both the tv and the digital converter box, run through the step-by-step process. Hope this helps.
