  • AMIGA is king baby... I have 2 Amiga 500's and they are in mint condition, I still play them now, i play it more than any of my other gamign machines like 360 and PS3 etc.....

I am thinking of getting an A1200 since I never had one or a chance to have a go at one, but I will get one soon though..... Amiga all the way...

A big shout out to Jay Miner, the God of Amiga, you will be missed, the only guy that has my full respect.

  • @ZroDfects You will love the A1200 - The AGA games and demos are really excellent.

  • @a120068020 .... I am more than sure I will like the A1200. There is a newer turbo graphics card being made for the A1200 also by someone in Germany should be released Early March this year, apparently fixes many compatibility issues also.

  • I still have my old original A1200 from Commodore, it's still working after almost 19 years in service. The original harddrive is dead though, it lasted a massive 15 years.

  • @GamleErik100 They are great machines aren't they? I use CF to IDE adaptors and SSD/DOM drives, so the Amiga is then silent. I would pop 3.1 ROMs on the beast too whilst the case is open to give you a little more spec for little price and the ability to run OS 3.5/3.9. Have fun!

  • Really nice setup for A1200, too sad there was no such basic model with 030 and FAST RAM

  • Yes, I picked up a NOS A1200 myself a couple of years ago - my second A1200. I have to say that it's one of my favourite machines. I have a 4GB HD on one of mine and an Expander (I forget what I got hold of). Without the Expander it is not possible to compile C Programs so it's necessary for me.

  • @MintythecatIsABeast Cool stuff. After posting this I remembered this machine has a 4GB CF card and not a 512MB DOM (That was a previous machine I had hehe). I think I will stick a PQI Disk on Module on the A600 I am getting now. I want to do some programming on the Amiga soon - when I get time :o)

  • @a120068020 Were you thinking of programming System wise through Intuition and all the libraries or missing all of that out and writing your own bootloaded code? Assembly or C do you feel?
