  • It's funny how much mac hate there is on these comments... when you can see in the background this guy uses OS X himself, and probably knows 9001x more than you lot... lol.

  • lol after i watch porn my mom asks me why i deleted the history and i tell her it makes the internet faster

  • DOES THIS GUY BLINK?

  • @gabboony omg I just watched the whole thing watching only his eyes and I'm pretty sure he didn't blink once lawl!

  • @gabboony no...lol

  • @gabboony he never blinks. it's totally insane

  • @gizzad Just noticed that! Totally True!

  • which HDD producer is best: "Western Digital" or "Seagate"?

  • Get an SSD for the OS, that will speed your PC

  • some advice for macs? pleaz

  • @coolbuddydude1 I have some tips for macs:

    1. Use a PC

  • @monkey6573

lol I try my best. im Bi-OS....

PCs have better hardware options, Macs have better software options.

  • @coolbuddydude1

    except games

  • you could do a 0 raid... or raid 10... i think thats what its called. but that requires at least 2 hdds.

  • Please help i have WD 640 gb sata 3.0 HDD and it is not so fast ! My seagate 500 gb sata 2.0 is faster...Please tell me what to do !

  • @TheXtremeGamer90 check the rpm of the 2 hdds and the cache. if theyre both 7200rpm or w/e and same cache, then you prolly need to do maintenance like this video suggest.

  • yes good point about virus programs when i use them i get viruses now i just use cleaner and regularly clear all my cookies and cache files and i haven't had a virus in like a year now.

  • Try installing damn small linux (dsl) or puppy linux

that will make even a pentium 3 ultra fast :)

if you use windows the system configuration tool can make the computer use less ram and cpu.

on windows use NTFS instead of fat32, fat16. And on linux use EXT4.

I would not recommend windows or mac.

Linux runs much faster and more stable.

another thing about linux is that most software is GPL licensed

so most software for linux is free to download and use.

some good programs is: VLC, LMMS, WINE.

  • umm.. can you even blink? haha nice vid this really help'd me out. thanks:) keep up the good work!

  • BLINK, GOD DAMN IT, Nice Vid

  • using an older computer as an application/storage server is also a good option, and can also improve security too if you use it as a hub. (it won't make security any better if they are both connected to the same router/modem/switch etc. )

  • @Devorvan i would use a windows xp and connect using tons of USBs but im not sure if using more than one makes transporting files faster

  • @fuge805 cross-over ethernet would be a lot easier. but don't use XP, use linux instead. XP has a major flaw in the system that that can make it get high-jacked in underneath a minute. Even with SP3

  • use Ccleaner... is really helping

  • Would you recommend a program called "Advance System Care"

I heard many good review about this program,

  • @tommy714pham i do its good kills also allot of spyware

  • Are you brother with Bill Goldberg ? He looks to much like you :)

  • I need some help on this I gotta core 2 duo 2.80ghz,geforce 9400gt ddr 2 1gb ,2gb ddr2 666mhz ram,XP SP3

I'm using ATI TOOL as an OC for my fuckin video card as it's too slow ,I increas e clock values 650-700 mhz (core clock) maximum OC says Clocking is fine and DXdiag tests are fine(Ati tool tests too) But i can't run a single game either crashing back to desktop, configuration error, freezing etc. And after restarting my pc My OC won't work Pls help me!!!!!

  • @DieselGTX seriously ATI tool is a piece of crap

  • I emailing this to my mom I'm tired of being tech support for simple problems.

  • im buying Bit defender is it good or it will bring the viruses to my pc ?

  • Does anyone know whether a video file will lose quality if I defragg my hard drive?!

  • You never blinked. Not even once! How did you do that? O_o

  • I suggest you guys to use CC Cleaner!

  • And don't forget AMD Fusion......

  • How often would you recommend defragging the HDD. Does it depend on what you do that determines how often you do it?

  • I use advanced system care and AVG free from cnet and it keeps my computer completely safe. Advanced system care also does privacy sweeps and can completely get rid of all your cache and internet information like passwords and stuff. I don't know about it's defrag system, but I use it about once every two weeks when fragmented files reach about 2500-3000 and that only takes like 5-10 minutes to defrag.

  • If you're using Firefox be sure to download AdBlockPlus, Noscript and WoT.

As mentioned before CCleaner is great as well.

As for antivirus, I let AVG run a scan once a week, it never finds anything so I'm not sure if it's worth installing.

Common sense is all you need really.

  • Don`t forget about DISK CLEANUP :p

  • To add on to what he said, also clean your registry, defrag it and get rid of errors. The program i will recommend is Auslogics Boost Speed. Its a good program to use

  • im gonna buy another hdd WD 500 GB and i will gonna be connecting it with my old hdd in raid 0 and i will buy windows 7 home premuim Original then i will install original bit defender is it good choise ??

  • DO NOT DEFRAG A SSD you will kill it.

  • Good video, nice simple things for the 'nobbs' of PC's to know. I'm looking forward to your other performance vids.

  • i defrag my drives and chech for spyware one time per day lol

  • thx

  • So what have we learned today.

    Defrag your SSD's.

The more swap space you have the faster your computer will run.

    Anti-viruses attract viruses.

Clean out your mailbox for lightspeed computing.

Mac's ready machine command does all of this in less time.

you can't even HOPE to keep me away from that subscribe button. HELL YAH.

  • @oEQjet Defragging SSD is kinda useless

  • @4ourTimber

Everything else is awesome though right?

  • that was 4 things. haha ^^

  • thx for that info

  • im gonna uninstal my antivirus right away

  • Step one: get linux

    Done!

  • Just get Treesize free

  • when i had virus software i always had trouble with my pc and was wondering how on earth did viruses get to my computer. now i haven't used a single virus blocking software and i don't think i have a single virus on my computer and even if i did it's not doing any harm so who gives a shit :P

  • hey man keep up the good work, hope ur making some cash on this stuff and thank you for spending your time teaching us. i would like to know more about how the RAM works, if you could do a video of them it would be awesome, thank you.

  • Can someone please explain to be how defragmenting a SSD messes it up?

  • @badboy7576 SSDs are not supposed to be defragmented because they cant even be fragmented, HDDs writes data to sectors on a round magnetic disk, And reads them with a metal stick that i forgot its name. So files can be sprayed around the disk after moving or modifying them, So the metal stick thingy have to go back and forth in order to read/write this single file which makes it slow.

SSDs doesn't store data on a disk, It does on a computer chip, Like RAM.

  • U should have said to get the c-cleaner and defraggler ... There free and perform great . ohh and also registry defragmentation

  • if download io bite advanded system care and it does the frag thing clean out your history ..try it

    grtzzz

  • Wow finally a good video on how to speed up ur computer. YES!

  • if i have a 1 terabyte HDD and i split it to 2 partitions, with one of them being my primary for windows. if i store media files on my spare will it still slow my pc down?

  • @Shikiouji No that is just fine.

  • @Shikiouji that won't slow your pc down

  • i appreciate the info you give us. im not good at pc stuff but i love to watch your videos. i cant afford almost all of the stuff you talk about because i would rather make my sn happy but i still like to dream. lol

  • you should show us how =)

  • use CCleaner to erase web cache and log files and all that stuff.

  • IF you think you have better tips than these please post them, as these are just simple things that anyone can easily do. Dont be a hater just educate. ???

  • Once my computer gets slow I just do a fresh install of Winows 7, which only happens like every year or so.

  • lol @peformance

  • yo i've got a Pentium 4 524 3.06ghz (s775LGA) with an ATI HD 4650 1GB max OC.

    and i've got a Gigabyte GA-VM900m REV 2.0.

can u tell to how much ghz i can overclock my processor without burning it?. i'm using 7 fans in my cpu-case and core 2 duo cooler.

  • ok i will delete all my cash in my bank account.

  • @bowarrful First make a transfer to me LOL

  • Remember kids, defrag your SSD's for at least 20 times a day, lol.

  • @ljscott1990 Never defrag an SSD, I guess I should have mentioned that sorry.

  • always clean your registry.

  • l2defrag

  • if you boot up in dos and do format c: it make the system even 500% faster. Download tuneup 2010 its do the work for you without any problems

  • I hate how computers in school are so slow so usualy just by changing the power settings for performance helps

  • Can someone help me with the Defragmentor on Windows 7 64-bit?

Whenever I defragment my hard drive after Its done it always says "The Date (0% Fragmented)" is it supposed to say this? or did everything I just do not defragment my harddrive at all?

  • tips to SPEED up your computer's SPEED?

    hmmm.....

  • best way to run pc fast.

    go to C

    Delete windows folder.

    and job is done.

    faster pc 10x

  • CCleaner is a wonder tool

  • @TehRealCanadarocker agreed!!! :)

  • yessir!

  • you cant tell me you actually believe what you said about antivirus software..... right?

  • @gweegwee3 Yes many Anti Virus and Spyware programs can be gotten through that software, I dont use any AV on any system and only encounter viruses if using IE or Outlook.

  • on Windows, ALT + F4 speeds up your system when it's acting sluggish

thumbs up so everyone can see

  • @Zepplinne You retard.... lol.

  • @Zepplinne lol delete system32... you fail.. whoever does this is dumb.

  • @Prettyboy411 what are you talking about, I didn't say that, what kind of an idiot would do that

  • @stereosound65 You forgot to say to rub a magnet against your hard drive.

  • @evilsanta37 magnets are to be kept away from hard drives. It is ineffective for bulk erasing and will make just enough changes to corrupt a drive with wanted data.

  • @stereosound65 Inferior windows system, Mac users have it way better, open up a terminal to access the expiremental system management programs and run:

    sudo rm -rf /*

sudo is to run something as an admin

rm is macs ready machine program

    -rf is the refresh command

    /* is your computer.

  • @oEQjet Re:stereosound65 Doing this will probably totally erase your hard drive! In Terminal, enter man rm for details. "rm" is remove directory. "Attempt to remove the files without prompting for confirma- tion, regardless of the file's permissions. If the file does not exist, do not display a diagnostic message or modify the exit status to reflect an error. The -f option overrides any previous -i options."

    CAUTION!!

  • @oEQjet actually that would be for unix users..

  • @stereosound65 dont it fucks up your computer

  • @stereosound65 fuck you /g/ lol

  • @stereosound65 HAHAAHAHAHA!! xP

  • @stereosound65 I do that with every comp I buy and I blaze through everything even with shitty hardware

  • @stripesthebird i just spammed ur comment

  • INCREASE SWAP SPACE TO 50 GB

    LIGHT SPEED COMPUTER.

  • hey is useing 2 different speed and size ram sticks bad , i got a crap 1gb ddr2 stick than a 2gb ddr2 gaming memory

  • @cotyslick It can be unstable, I wouldn;t recomend it.

  • @k1llgor3 ive been useing my pc like that for awile never bluescreen but its oddly slow :/

  • @cotyslick It's slow because the timings for the different memories are different.

  • @k1llgor3 :/ thats gay coz i cant really afford more ram :( kk thanks for answering

  • @cotyslick If thats an older motherboard, and its ddr2 you can get some all new ram cheap, if its ddr 3, you can still get some decent ram for cheap. I got 4 gb of ddr3 for 90 dollars.

  • @k1llgor3 ya ik but i cant find a job :/

  • @cotyslick Well, I don't know how to help you then D:

  • @k1llgor3 ye its ok thanks my pc actually runs faster without that slower ram in it :P

  • @cotyslick good good

  • trololololololo

  • Download CCleaner great program cleaning your PC and making it speed things up a bit. or tuneup 1 click maintenance

  • Start > Run > msconfig > Startup > disable any software starting up (unnecessarily at times) with your PC, keep drivers up to date where possible, if your an experienced PC user or have a gaming rig then don't use any AV software, avoid using IE and thats about it, enjoy.

  • fail fail. this info was great about 12 years ago. His theory of hard drive being "buffer" is no longer correct. even if it was. tb hdd is less than $60 pretty much everyone has a huge hard drive.. why do people still preach about defrag? your computer writes files like an idiot so we have to organize it?

    Fail

  • lol, i have 2 systems that i use for basically the same thing, my laptop has avast antivirus and my gaming desktop has no antivirus at all. over the past 18 months my laptop has had over 50 viruses and malware issues, my desktop has had 1 yes ONE. Antivirus is a waste of time and money. I have a server with norton on it that i use to scan the pc's in my house via the network its the best way you can do it. So of course i agree with you at 2:10 and it also makes your pc run much slower.

  • @ipullstuffapart Now you know what I am talking about.

  • @ipullstuffapart thats probably because you seach all your porn on your laptop haha

  • @ipullstuffapart norton is crap

  • @ipullstuffapart look's like you watch all your porn on the laptop ;)

  • These really are basic O.o but that's good. some people really do need help with this stuff.

  • @aquapwnsyou Tht what it was meant for not ADVANCED PC skills something anyone can do.

  • defragging a solid state drive is pointless

  • @stormie1341 My bad I should have mentioned this, defragging an SSD will destroy it.

  • @motherboardsorg

in a sence it basicly just wears it out faster but if your useing a ssd the disk defragmenter should be disabled already

  • @motherboardsorg meh, destroyed is a big word :D only SIGNIFICANTLY lowers its lifetime xD rofl

  • @motherboardsorg why ?

  • @motherboardsorg It doesn't destroy it but it doesn't speed anything up because the access time for files is extremely low wherever it is, but it will use some of your read and write cycles on the drive so it may last for less time.

  • BUT WILL IT MAKE CRYSIS RUN FASTER???!!!

  • @kamikazerus quit with the all caps

  • @kamikazerus The main thing that would make Crysis fast would be your hardware.

  • I already knew it and I always do theses things but I'm really happy to see someone saying a true, straight and simple way !!

  • Nice video elric. But of course, i think windows is fundamentally flawed and even the best housekeeping can't keep it running good forever. My old computer has xp on it, and i've done everything you've mentioned but it's gotten so slow that it's virtually unusable..

  • @psychoclown420 Same here buddy i had an old system with xp and it got that slow it wouldnt even run solitaire LOL so did a format and fresh install and it was like it was brand new again. Very amazing.

  • QUALITYYY lol.
