  • The Journey Begins starts from within, things that I need to know, the song of the bird echoed in words, trying the need to fly, thoughts endless in flight...day turns to night..

  • Seems a Belkan has disliked this.

  • One Belkan disliked this.

  • Osea is generally seen as a parallel to the United States because of references to a President speaking on Bright Hill [as opposed to Capitol Hill]. But I can see it representing the European Union as well with parallels in the flag and elsewhere.

  • I have that tear of epicness in my

    Eye

  • I AM A PILOT OF OSEA!!!!

  • this is a beautiful song, a memorable one.

  • "la la la la" Oh Sky Eye you made me laugh too many times.

  • The journey begins...

  • one person is very happy just for listing this song and thast person is me

  • 1 person got shot down by the 8492nd

  • Saluting to this song every time I hear it

  • Alright... this is a beautiful and powerful song ! And I don't even know what the game is about.

  • @RadicalDreamer17 a fighter pilot game called ace combat 5 that has a story as immense and amazing that it would put some of the final fantasy series to shame. The cutscenes were also of incredible quality to a point where you would expect it to be HD

  • *lips quibble*

  • anyone know if there's a video of Warsaw Philharmonic actually playing this song? Like the conductor's doing his thing and stuff?

  • Where the hell is my Canada Analogue? I guess you could consider Emmeria to be a mixture of Canada, (Americanized accent, the large number of F-18's) Britian, (Challenger 2) and Denmark for how proud it was of its past.

Kinda sucks though that we MAY not see a game placed in the "strangereal" setting of the previous games. I think the reason I enjoyed AC5 so much was that it felt like it was taking place. The far flung futuristic games are a bit to much for me at times.

  • @Testement117 the last ace combat made will be for strangereal. that was confirmed by NAMCO

  • @MatthewMTU Last Ace Combat what do you mean ?

  • *salutes*

  • OH! mission 28 over the loudspeakers, AC5!

  • the poles did something useful for a change, lol j/k

  • The Journey begins....

    Starts from within.....

Things that I need to know...

the song of the bird, echoed in words...

Flying for the need to fly...

thoughts endless in flight day turns to night..

    questions you ask yourself..

which way do I go how fast is too slow?

  • @Spartanz1170 Questions you ask your "soul" i think.

  • That is true that Osea is mostly based on the US, but it is partially based on Japan as well (Osean Air Defense Force for example, is similar to Japam Air Self-Defense Force).

  • @iamhayray i actually think belka is based on japan or germany sometimes

  • @matxloco

Belka is an anologue to Germany, but there isn't really an anologue to Japan other than Osea, which is also the US.

  • @iamhayray

i heard something interesting the other day, a german bloke who wrote one of the first books for air combat back in WW1 was called Belka..no wonder their airforce is good :)

  • @TheBlinkMIDF

Actually his name was Oswald Boelke. You were close though.

He was also the man who trained German Aces Werner Voss, Ernst Udet and the most famous of all: Manfred von Richtoften - The Red Baron.

The Book was called "Dicta Boelke"; I actually have a translated copy of it on my bookshelf.

  • love any song from ace combat... but this one is just perfect...it's absolutely tremendous...

  • I think it's better with just the music, the lyrics are a tad melodramatic.

  • Just Great

  • OMG...Sounds so amazing..orgasms in my EAR!!! lmao

  • Absolutely beautiful. No other words can describe it

  • I'm trying to find the one with the Pilots singing from Mission 27, I can't find it ANYWHERE! Can someone please help?

  • If only the red army choir would make a version of this!

  • Osea = european union

    Durr hurr

  • @julian575

No, Osea is supposed to be a parallel to the United States.

  • @julian575 Yes , OSEA is European Union , that's what's happen when European Nations are ALL ONE :)

  • @Romus011 imho, its more like the NAU but to each his/her own.

  • @KangaKucha What's is NAU ?

  • @Romus011 North American Union, a hypothetical EU for north america. I prefer the economic community, but not full union. Europe can unite, thats fine, as well as south american and others, but not NA.

  • I did to im talking about the part werre they all sing if that happend today i'd shit my pants and breakdown and cry

  • so relaxing

    lovely piece :)

  • thanks il try that

  • From above I can see from the heavens

Down below I see the storm rages on

    And somewhere in the answer

There is a hope to carry on

  • oh how i love ace combat. and osea.

  • the journey begins.... Starts from withinnn

    The song of a bird,

  • Thoughts endless in flight,

    questions you ask your soul.

  • Which way do I go?

    How fast is too slow?

    The journey has its time

    Within us

  • If a man can fly over an ocean,

And no mountains can get in his way,

    Will he fly on forever,

    Searching for something to believe?

  • do you have this song when she is singed by the soldiers in the last mission ???

  • it is from the soundtrack of the game, which as far as I know could only be purchased in Japan up until around 2005

  • ok then thanks

  • @09edwarc2 It was called 'Unsung War' in Japan and N.A but 'Squadron Leader' in Europe...think it was only 2 days differance between the Jap/N.A release and European release

I had a copy in 2004,I think...been ages since I bought it...still play it on my PS2 though

  • that was a great moment when everyone started to sing it

  • ho yes it was it is a great songto raise the moral

  • only the sad part is they just fly away you need to follow them on the map the dissappear or if you kill hamilton he will go to the border and dissappear and in the tunnel he comes back

  • Awesome, it is quite amazing, if it had lyrics, it would ve even MORE AWESOME :3

  • It does. This is just an instrumental version.

  • Beautiful... I haven't heard you in a long time....

  • i think by this orchestra lol.

  • Who was it actually performed by?
