A lovely board which unfortunately i cooked due to a inadequate power supply.

Trying to run a Quad core and a 8800 GTX Ko on a 550w suuply simply willnot do as i discovered to my £147 cost of replacement.

The goody bag that comes with this beauty is a sight for sore eyes,lots of cables key rings extra fans the lot but it does cost lots and only for DDR2 not the new DDR3 memory.

Still very pretty to look at.

the only difference is the performance. Its only slightly.. But for me I wuld go to the Asus Striker Extreme II since I got a Striker Extreme here running at the momment tho but I be giving it to my dad since he has no comp.

Chek my benchmark videos (Crysis and CoD4 so far)

Very good motherboard, comes with a free soundcard / virusscanner and other software such as Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts.

Also you can go Tri-SLI with this baby!

this mobo is a good product..i don't have testing to the max oc but my pc work with a ram at 1600mhz@ and cpu(e8400 3,00ghz) at 3.6ghz@..good stability and the performance tested with a 3DMark06 is 13889.

on the asus website it says that it supports DDR3 up to 2000MHz (O.C.) does that mean that u have to buy DDR3 at 1333MHz then overclock the ram or can u buy ram that is already 2000MHz.

u can buy ram up to 2000Mhz but for start the ram to 1600 o 1800 o 2000 u must set up the bios..i have a OCZ PLATIMUN 1600 Mhz (7-7-7-24)
