  • Great looking bike dude, nicely done.

  • i look at this bike at least once a week.i have a 2010 bonnie and im obsessed

  • still stock wheels size? fantastic bike man.

  • @kikujiro499 Thanks. Yeah, still stock wheels here. Since then, I've had the wheels powdercoated black. It'll be getting a new engine soon, maybe a Thruxton engine. I'll try to post a new vid or two once it's back on the road.

  • @roadrash998 a new motor? why??

  • @kikujiro499 Sorry for the delayed reply. Yeah, a new motor. A while back I low sided the bike on a gravel road, damage didn't seem to be too bad but the bike had run for just a little bit while on its side and burned up the oil pump. After the other damage was fixed, I rode the bike for a couple of weeks with the bad oil pump, which messed up some more stuff in the bottom end and even warped the case.

  • @lolofromlabern1 Thanks. The pipes are from Bub.

  • Well done brother. Just bought a Bonnie Black and am letting Mule Motorcycles do some magic with it because I don't have your ability.

  • @osufrdave1 Thank you. Don't forget to post a vid of it once it's done.

  • Boss, you did a nice job. I only have one question. The rear blinkers - Don't they get in the way when a passenger is getting on or off? I'd be afraid to break those.

  • @harrybaules Never had a problem with that.

  • I look at this bike once a month. It is my dream bike. I have seens a ton of bonnie's on youtube but this one is my favorite. The look. The sound. Do you still have this bike? If so what can you tell me about them? Are they reliable bikes? Have you had any kind of trouble out of yours?

  • @claydough001 Thanks for the compliments. Yes, I still have it. I've had no problems that I haven't caused. Currently it is going to be getting a new oil pump because I laid it over and the engine ran while it was sideways, burning up the oil pump. It also looks somewhat different, with some cosmetic changes due to the damage from the crash. I'll post up another vid when it's back on the road.

  • Great bike!

  • Ive been looking at Kawasaki vulcan 900's....until i came across this video. I just want a triumph bonneville now! beautiful bike!

  • @killingthemoths Thanks. I've found that cruisers can be somewhat uncomfortable on longer rides. The Bonneville and other standard bikes allow the rider to have a lot more freedom of movement.

  • @roadrash998 Do you feel it's more or less comfortable with the rearsets?

  • @gyrate4 It really depends on what kind of riding you're doing. I ended up going back to the stock foot pegs, and I found them to be pretty comfortable.

  • Comment removed

  • Those bar end mirrors on the OEM bars? If so, were they easy to install? Nice bike!

  • @gyrate4 Yes, they are on the OEm bars. I had to drill out the bars to install them.

  • i heave a triumph tiger and i need to but at least more 2. one rocket 3 and a bonneville

  • How much would that cost?

  • You're killing me man...

  • Sounds awesome!

  • to the guy that said get a real one ,i bet you never owned a triumph before.

  • that is just magnificent !!! it is my dream to own one of those !

  • Any way to get Bonneville style handlebars for a thruxton to allow a more sit back riding style?

    Thanks.

  • That isn't a triumph. Its not leaking oil and it shifts on the left.

  • Ahh yess, this is the pussy magnet!

    - Borat

  • Good Lord it's *stunningly* beautiful.

  • hi mate...i wan t to ask some things about that bike...i hope you can answer...

    1.what model is that?

2.is the tank the original bonneville one or not?

3.if the tank is not the original which one is and if it fits on a 2008 model??

  • good call on the rear fender, that bikes a beaut, fine machine!

  • Wow, who knew? Laid back stock bars & bar end mirrors gives it the appearance of a true cafe racer. The chrome strip & exhaust are both awesome touches to this bike.

Your bike is fucking bad-ass, dude.

  • No,no! Get you a real one! Old school man.You can try,but your bike will never, be the same as the real classics from the 60,s-70,s- and finally the 80,s! But it looks nice. :-)))

  • Sleek!

  • Sweet, did I say sweet Motorcycle!

  • i'm jealous right now. a real beauty.

  • @Th3SundanceKid Thanks.

  • very cool.

  • @summerman2 Thanks.

  • well that's a really nice bike you've got there

  • hi man, first, congrats for your bike, it looks flawless! So, I just got myself a Bonnie and I want to put that fake chrome strip on the gas tank. Where did you get yours?

Other question: did you install the tach yourself? was it difficult?

congrats again on the bonnie, nice job!

  • @vlobao I can't remember if I responded to your questions, if not, I'm sorry for the delay. I got the fake chrome strip from Bellacorse or New Bonneville, can't remember which. I did install the tach. It wasn't too hard. I believe I had to wire it to the headlight "hot" wire, a ground wire, and to the coil. Anyway, it came with instructions.

  • Really nice !!! Love it :)

  • Although I like the Duc GT1000 better, your bike is awesome man, congrats

  • like the gauges

  • Great looking Bonnie!

  • hey roadrash, any chance you can remember what brand of bar end mirrors you have here? I have been looking and the ones I find are ridiculously priced or ugly. Yours look great and you say in the description they are "some cheap brand". Thats what I need man :)

  • @AFACF I'm sorry, I really can't remember. I bought them at Cycle Gear, if that helps.

  • they look like motrax mini bar-ends. I've had them on two of my bikes, they're great and well priced too.

  • Can't get much better than that!

  • @SuperSneakySteve Thanks.

  • If you go back 9 months I posted on this video about wanting a bike like this. Well I finally got one!!!! LOL. happiest I have been in a long time. :)

  • @AFACF That's really great! I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy mine. I'd like to see a video of it, if you can.

  • frickin lovely. really

  • @greggusan Thanks.

  • nice mate

  • @ozbillybong Thanks, mate

  • i love yuoure bike dude

  • @yousuxalot Thanks.

  • Oh really, thats interesting, one of the last places I would have thought of. Cool cheers thanks for the info mate! :)

  • hey again, I have a question on one of the mods you have on, i hope you can answer.

Your front fender stay for your ped slicer, I've been looking for braces like that but to no avail, where did you get yours?

  • @Lysistrata8u I got the smallest L-shaped brackets that I could find and then cut them down and drilled holes in them. I picked 'em up at Home Depot.

  • rofl:

"I changed it to Triumph cause of all the idiots here, whats a Bonnie, whos Bonnie", lol damn. Bike looks hot man, props on the mods and work.

  • @Lysistrata8u Thank you.

  • Thank you very much !

The Thruxton front fender with Bonneville fender brace attached is exactly what I need for my dream Bonneville T100, and the bar end mirrors. I have another question. DId you change the front wheel from 17 to 19" ?

I saw your pics in bikepics.com... I love your helmet too.

  • @aovallemx Nope, it came with a 19 inch front wheel, as did all Bonneville models in '07. They didn't go to the smaller wheel until recently. I believe the T100, Scrambler, and Thruxton still come with a 19 inch front wheel.

  • I love your bike, can you post please, a complete list of modifications?

  • @aovallemx OK, I'll do that and put it in the video info.

  • what kind of exhaust is that? You do any other mods to make it sound like that besides the exhaust?

  • @RBDawking76 Those are the Bub 2 into 2 pipes. I also removed the airbox, put on some K&N air filters, and rejetted the carbs. Running about 142 on the main jets, I can't remember the size of the pilot jets.

  • what kind of mods you made to the intake? What kind of exhaust is that?

  • effin beautiful. I gotta get one.

  • @mellowman80 Thanks, I bet you will love yours when you get it.

  • Who and where do you get those exhausts? Are they a particular make or are they custom made?

  • @Flannoman75 Those pipes are Bub 2 into 2s, includes headers and silencers. My local dealer ordered them for me from a catalogue. They may still be available at Bellacorse or NewBonneville dot coms.

  • trade for a bmw are you on crack ???

  • @zuuked I guess I just went a little bit mad, yes. No worries, though.

  • that sir is not just a bike......its a work of art!!

im 16 from ireland and i would give you my left leg for that bike!!

  • @ThePurple31 Thank you very much. My daughter is your age and she feels the same way, although she is confident that she will get it after I die. I gave her a good scare recently when I thought about trading it on a BMW.

  • what kind of pipes are those?

  • @adamdoron1978 Those are some Bubs. Called 2 into 2s. Includes headers and silencers.

  • Just messin' with you. Nice bike.

  • Way to brag on your own shit.

  • @89239dfkdk Yeah thanks.

  • she's a beauty! can you send me a link for those exact bar end mirrors? i have same bike, but 2009 bonnie black. thanks!

  • Right now there is a 16 year old boy in Sweden dreaming about one day owning a Bonnie, my name is Oliver ;)

  • @Oliver927 Keep studying and apply yourself and I'm sure you will have that Bonnie, Oliver. My sixteen year old daughter keeps asking me when I'm going to give her this one. I always tell her she can have it when I die.

  • @roadrash998 I'll do whatever it takes! Hehe, poor daughter lol! When are you allowed to take license for motorcycles in America? When you are sixteen? We have this system that you can only take license for 125cc when you're sixteen so just curious about how it works in America. :)

  • @Oliver927 I couldn't tell you the answer to that, Oliver. They have changed the requirements since I earned my license, and my daughter can't remember the requirements.

  • @roadrash998 Well, I can always google it ;) No worries!

  • nice mine off the road some old git ran into the back of me..on a round about

i have nearly finished put mine back together a bike is reborn...

    type gibirdi on you tube..

    riding mine in england uk

  • @neilgibi Last off I had, the bike was rebuilt before I was. Good luck with the rebuild and enjoy the summer.

  • if only they came like that standard, great job!!

  • @barnett682 Thanks so much, I've just returned from an all-day trip on Bonnie, she was delightful.

  • Beautiful bike man! What about the exhausts? Are they predator?

  • @windopz No, the exhausts are Bubs. Comes with headers and silencers. Thanks for the comment.

  • Nice work mate. The new Triumph Bonnie is a sweet machine. I'd have one tomorrow, but I've already got a Kawasaki W650 which I love. Some would say the W is more like the original Bonnie (minus the negatives) -- possibly, but the new Bonnie is so much more of a modern machine than the old one--but still looks the part. I'd like both if I had the Do-Re-Mi...

  • @noushitaisa I'd have a w650 myself if I had my way. They seem to be a bit scarce here in the States. I ran into a real old codger at a friend's shindig who had two or three old Triumphs but who preferred his Kwak 650. Thanks for the compliments.

  • wow its actually british too :p

  • Nice pedestrian chopper on the front mudguard! No horn required, just slice on through :-)

  • @upforlastnameleft It should probably be taller and extend to the front more, that way it would be more effective.

  • @roadrash998 Lol. And a barbecue rack on the back? Or a tent that comes out of the side with a sign on saying, Get your fresh hot dogs here!

  • @upforlastnameleft I don't think i'd want any of those hot dogs.

  • I got my Bar-end mirrors for under 20 bucks for the set, not CRG's, but look sweet and very functional. My Scrambler is almost as nice as your bonnie, and 06 scrambler has 39mm flat-slide carbs, thunderbike exhaust, dyno-tuned, she is a runner. I love Triumph. Harley, go Eff yourself!!!! ha ha

  • @chiefroughfinger Sounds like you've got a nice one. Thanks for the compliment.

  • Sweet Bonnie!!!!

  • what's the name of the model?

    Bonneville?

    Bonneville se ?

    thankss

  • @mlscialla This is the Bonneville Black from 2007.

  • @Dodgefor84 What's wrong with a chain? This bike is supposed to be a throwback bike. It has carbs too. And tubes in the tires. Belt drives have weaknesses too, specifically their tendency to fail with no warning. Personally, I prefer a chain that I can maintain and keep an eye on.

  • @Dodgefor84 But thanks for the compliments, I guess I'm a little cranky right now, sorry.

  • @Dodgefor84 Why not a shaft drive? I guess you own a Harley.

  • hey there fella. nice job onthe bike. all the right mods! not over the top. where did you get those exhausts from as i'd love some for my bike.

    many thanks

    Martin

  • @morr84 Those are the 2 into 2's from Bub. Comes with headers and silencers. I think they are a little too loud at speed.

  • What kind of mirrors are those?

  • Comment removed

  • @battsypants They are some cheap ones that I got at Cycle Gear.

  • SPLENDIDA MOTO !!! COMPLIMENTI !!!

  • Thanks BIGPAOLO!

  • I love the look of the bike. Beautiful machine. Hope to get one someday. :)

  • Thanks so much.

  • Oh my gosh that bike is some sort of beauty!

  • Thank you.

  • alot of care has gone into that bike and it looks awesome good job

  • Thanks.

  • who's bonnie HAHAHA. nice bike man, what kind of pipes are those, clearly not the stock sound.

  • Thanks man, those are the Bub 2 into 2s., with the airbox out and rejetted.

  • beaut,sounds and looks sexy,good job

  • Thanks

  • Now THAT is a motorcycle. Can I take it for a spin?

  • Depends. How much money you got?

  • Nice bike! Im looking for a good motorcycle to start out on when I get my license. The Bonnevilles are a little too powerful to start out on but is there some others out there with the same sort of style as the triumph, but maybe around the 400cc mark..?

  • Maybe an old '70s Honda.

  • very nice bike! amazing!

  • Thanks.

  • amazing

  • thanks.

  • Hey roadrash,

what did putting the rearsets (footpegs) on involve? Was it an easy job? Howcome you took them off?

  • It wasn't too hard. I did 'em one at a time. Left one was easier. They both attached to the frame in the old holes. Had to take off the shifter and replace with a linkage to reach back. Right one had to change the brake setup. The rearsets I bought included all the gear I needed to do it. I think those were the Norman Hydes from Bellacorse. I took 'em off because I was ready to sit up and ride. You wanna buy 'em?

  • The bike looks great. You said the bar ends are not Triumph, can you tell me which model they are, and if they are hinged to be able to turn-in for parking. Thanks.

  • I can't remember what brand they are. I got them at Cycle Gear. They are not hinged. There are some that look like mine that ARE hinged though. Sorry, I'm blanking on that right now.

  • Nice classic look, front plates looks good they got droped in the U.K in the early 70s because of injury if you hit a pedestrian, still have the one off my first bike, (1972 plate) hug on the wall in the bike garage

  • Nice Mod.

  • Thanks.

  • The bike looks great in the video. Did you move the footpegs back? The seem to be 6 inches further back than those on a standard 07 Bonnie Black.

  • Thanks. The footpegs are rearsets, yes. They're not on there anymore.

  • I have checked out this video many times lol. I am 33 and never had any desire to have a motorcycle until maybe the last 6 months. I want to do some homework and get something I'll be satisfied with. I like the bonnevilles but the nightster is pretty cool as well. Any advice to help a rookie decide?

  • Sure thing. My dad has a sportster and IMO it's pretty uncomfortable but goes fast outta stoplights. My Triumph is plenty fast and is comfortable too, plus it gets more fans than the Harley. My daughter is 16 and she found the transition from her Honda 250 to my Bonneville pretty easy. She has also ridden my DR650 and found it to be tougher to ride than the Triumph. I really think that the Triumph Bonneville or t100 is a good starter bike. I find it to be the BEST bike I've ever owned.

  • hey thanks for the quick reply. My dad and his brother both had bonnevilles in the late sixties. Their faces still light up at the mention of the word Triumph, so their must be something special about that bike. That history and your comments have me definitely leaning toward the bonnie. Had to buy a new truck for my wife for christmas so I figure I have to save up for a few months before I hit the dealership. I'll probably check these videos out another 100 times between now and then, lol.

  • Yeah man, enjoy the vids. You may not have to save as much money as you think since the dealers are hurting right now and they might even be desperate enough to to sell it to you with nothing down. When I bought the Triumph they even paid my sales tax. Cheers.

  • My bad.

    Found the moving pictures.

But the rolling pics show a bump seat, and no "pedestrian slicer" plate on the front fender.

Was this taken before all mods were complete?

  • This vid here was named before I was truly happy with the setup, I just didn't know it. I went cafe with it about three times. Now I'm back to a setup that is extremely close to this vid but not exact. I found a cheap alloy front fender from Royal Enfield and mounted it plus I moved the taillight a little closer to the seat, which makes it look a little slimmer (the seat). The ped slicer needed repainting and hasn't been yet, plus I am reluctant to drill the new fender. Happy new year.

  • Marine!

    Semper Fi.

If you can post a video of that scooter on the move, I'd love it.

Also, I just got a new Speed Triple, so I'm a proud poppa. If I can figure this computer machine out, I'll post a response.

    Have a great new year!

  • Yeah, I would love to see it.

  • You recognized the MOS. Sounds like you've been there too.

Ride easy, bro, and keep the rubber side down.

  • Thanks, you too. We called it 0311.

  • That's the best looking Bonnie I've seen since my '68 T120. Great job!

  • Thanks, grunt.

  • I ride a Goldwing GL 1500 SE but my dad has an '05 T100. Changed the stock bars to a more comfortable and handling bend. No stock center stand, had to buy one, $350.00. This Christmas he's got me looking up pipes on the net. He rode 'em in the 60's, and wants megaphones. What's a Bonnie? Who's Bonnie? Hee Hee.

  • Thanks. My bubs can get a little annoying on a trip. I kinda want some peashooters again.

  • We got Emgo reverse cones. A local mechanic is going to put 'em on. Dad went in hospital yesterday though. Should be okay .

  • He'll like those. Wishing him a speedy recovery.

  • Thanx He might like them, but if I have to ride behind him, I prolly won't. :) Also, I would recommend a more turned down set of handelbars, they make a world of difference in comfort. Of course it's a matter of prefrence, and I'm used to turned down bars.

    A T100 is a fun machine.

    Happy 2010!!

  • Yeah, I've actually grown to prefer the bars upright. I had some clubmans on it for a while and that wore me out. Happy new year to you too!

  • Did you do any engine modifications or just rejet and breather box fix? does it run better now, and how much more horsepower did u get out of her?

  • I just pulled out the airbox and rejetted, plus changed exhaust. It runs great. I haven't had it on a dyno, but the original top speed was 105 mph, now it's about 120-125 mph.

  • ive got a 07 bonneville america, and i love it. I want to start doing some upgrades and some chopping on her soon. I really want to get a tach for her first. Cant understand why they didnt put a tach on her from factory. I really like the style of your bonneville and sound. Ride long and live prosper. Thanks dude.

  • I saw a real nice blacked out America today. Enjoy yours.

  • beautiful bike...does the tach come factory.or did u install it???

  • The tach is from sonofthewind. net

  • Triumph always had nice sounding exhaust pipes. A real bike!

  • Record held from 56' to 62' not only in 59' Very sweet bike, Hope mine turns out this good!

  • very very nice... I'd ride that thing till the tank ran dry. haha sounds great too.
