Hey, suppose I made this without adding sawdust or texturiser, would it be suitable to make slimey/oozy textures for decorating? Also, how long does it take to dry?
@HollyJFerguson - you could use it for those kind of details, though it does take some time to dry. In my experience, using a hot-glue gun to create oozing puss and slime is MUCH easier.
hrmmm, some silicons are oil based which means it will not bond well with the other ' ingredients' ... as long as its an acrylic silicone (which sounds very strange to me) then it should be fine
I find that non-sanded grout works excellent for jobs like this, if it's a thick mixture. Plus you need to put something strong, like epoxy, over it, to keep it from cracking.
I've found that the tins of plaster that drywall installers use (we call it MUD here in the USA) to fill cracks works great as "goop". One tin costs about what your tube of caulk costs and its allready blended to an almost perfect consistency. If you want thicker just toss a little sawdust in. It dries quickly, sands easily, and paints up nicely. Faster and a bit cheaper.

I have to say you have started to release videos left and right! :D which I love it have really got me in the mood to start making more terrain! Your videos are very helpful as you also show us how to make stuff like Goop and concrete effects!
Thanks Viv and feel better! Can't wait to hear more about dying the sawdust for flock too! Is the hardware/home improvement store the place to pick up sawdust by the bag? Animal/farm supply maybe if they use it for bedding?
@Scherdnr - your second suggestion is spot on, I couldnt find it in many hardware stores, timeryard generally throw it away - mine I bought from a supplier who sells only saw dust variants for various purposes, such as animal bedding ;p
wow it looks just like wet concrete lol. i bet you coud add a wash and drybrush and you cound meke some kind of building sight....... :O the possabilities :D
