I've did some impressive things in a few games (like finishing Thunder Force III in the hardest difficulty without dying), but VVVVVV is so goddamn hard! I just can't get a good feel of Viridian's momentum.

I spent 3 hours today and still didnt get anywhere near 3min.. my best was like 2:05 (its actually the 2nd time ever that i got over 2min o_O)

When I get a good 2:30:00 standard or so I'll just start recording picture in picture, my computer cant handle fraps :/

@137Reaper You might also try CamStudio. It's completely free and seems to work well, but I don't know if it's less laggy than Fraps.

If that doesn't help, you might try using a different codec to compress your video. I've found that the ffdshow tryouts codec works well (it seems to be faster than the "uncompressed" setting that is the default in both CamStudio and Fraps).
