@lee5537 the most recent movie i have seen her in was in FROST/Nixon...She played Pat Nixon....and omg i watched THE BAD SEED, MOMMY, and MOMMY 2: MOMMY'S DAY yesterday....i just <3 Patty!!!!!
@lee5537 She still acts. Check her IMDb page. Over the past decade she has had a recurring role on The Sopranos, played former FIrst Lady Pat Nixon in Frost/Nixon, done two episodes of Greek, one episode of Desperate Housewives and more. Plus she has a couple more movies in the works.
I love the way the music sounded back then if I could go back to any time this would be it the age where children were still children and could play happily instead of having sex and getting pregnant at 15
@DimSimToughBitch One of those classics that definitely still holds up. We've watched it with teenage kids today and they are as mesmerized as the world was in 1957. I think it's largely due to Patty McCormack's brilliant performance.
LOL! I can't get this song out of my head! I absolutely LOVE Patty McCormack! It's too bad this film was shot in black and white. Patty has beautiful blue eyes and blond hair, which would have really stood out if it had been done in color. Patty is a very kind person in real life--don't let her character of "Rhoda" make you think different. Everyone loved working with her on The Bad Seed, and they spoke very highly of her. It's awesome that even 50+ years later, she's still in the biz!
I had a crush on her when I saw bad seed as a kid.She grew into a real Fox (see the ropers) I saw her one day at wallachs music city about 1957 and she smiled at me WOW ! it really made my day !
How cool was that? That would have made my day too! I saw a photo of Patty taken a few years ago. She's still got the looks, even in her 60's. At the end of the song, I love how she says "Bubble gum!" in that adorable voice only a 12-year old would have.
True... I have another song by her also done at this age - it's a zzzzzzz. There are songs out there from when she was in her early 20s - she was in a band for a while in the 60s-70s. But this is the best of the two songs that I have. Sigh.
I was looking for a posting of Rhoda's piano playing when I came across yours. So glad I did. I don't recall the Bubble Gum song, but I've never forgotten sweet Rhoda. Poor Leroy!
I think it's cute lol!
