  • I think it's cute lol!

  • Woe this changes the "dramatic" scenes completely!

  • Comment removed

  • Rhoda had two great passions: bubblegum and murder. lol

  • This song reminds me The Chordettes' Lollipop

  • It's so weird to watch serious scenes with that fun music

  • this little girl is evil in the movie

  • I was and still am a big fan of Patty McCormack. I wonder where she is today?

  • @lee5537 the most recent movie i have seen her in was in FROST/Nixon...She played Pat Nixon....and omg i watched THE BAD SEED, MOMMY, and MOMMY 2: MOMMY'S DAY yesterday....i just <3 Patty!!!!!

  • @lee5537 She still acts. Check her IMDb page. Over the past decade she has had a recurring role on The Sopranos, played former FIrst Lady Pat Nixon in Frost/Nixon, done two episodes of Greek, one episode of Desperate Housewives and more. Plus she has a couple more movies in the works.

  • Great Movie...Awful Song...

  • @ericsf319 - No kidding... Awful RAD if cult and camp are your thing, however.

  • I know

  • great movie- and good song choice!! The Bad seed is one of my favorites!!

  • I love the way the music sounded back then if I could go back to any time this would be it the age where children were still children and could play happily instead of having sex and getting pregnant at 15

  • The Bad Seed is still awesome today

  • @DimSimToughBitch One of those classics that definitely still holds up. We've watched it with teenage kids today and they are as mesmerized as the world was in 1957. I think it's largely due to Patty McCormack's brilliant performance.

  • I love The Bad Seed, and Sue Snell...the second best part of Carrie!

  • (Hee hee) 1:42-1:52 I guess somebody dosen't like bubblegum.

  • LOL! They were out of her favorite flavor.

  • LOL! I can't get this song out of my head! I absolutely LOVE Patty McCormack! It's too bad this film was shot in black and white. Patty has beautiful blue eyes and blond hair, which would have really stood out if it had been done in color. Patty is a very kind person in real life--don't let her character of "Rhoda" make you think different. Everyone loved working with her on The Bad Seed, and they spoke very highly of her. It's awesome that even 50+ years later, she's still in the biz!

  • she had such an innocent voice but am i the only on that thinks there's an evil undertone to it? kind of like rhoda?

  • hehe.

    had sum tap shoes :)

  • I love it! I had no idea she did this!

  • I had a crush on her when I saw bad seed as a kid.She grew into a real Fox (see the ropers) I saw her one day at wallachs music city about 1957 and she smiled at me WOW ! it really made my day !

  • How cool was that? That would have made my day too! I saw a photo of Patty taken a few years ago. She's still got the looks, even in her 60's. At the end of the song, I love how she says "Bubble gum!" in that adorable voice only a 12-year old would have.

  • This video is always fun to watch! i love it so much! Added to my favorites of course :)

  • WOW !!!! That was twisted LOL thanks for the laugh... "What would you give me if I gave you a basket full of kisses ???"

  • @MasterMark123 a whole lotta hugs :)

  • You know in the 80's she played the neighbor (the mother of the little boy) that lived next store to the Ropers...

  • Holy crap! How could I not have known that! I adored The Ropers!

  • Can you post thePatty McCormack's songs on youtube when she was in her early 20's?

  • @rtermine Oh yeah, I remember the show...the father was a for real creepy dweeb.

  • She really didn't sing much in the song...

    A lot of background singers...

  • Cute song though

  • True... I have another song by her also done at this age - it's a zzzzzzz. There are songs out there from when she was in her early 20s - she was in a band for a while in the 60s-70s. But this is the best of the two songs that I have. Sigh.

  • YYYYAAAAYYYY! THE PSYCHO GIRL FROM BAD SEED!

    She's scary.

  • She had a cute perky little voice.

  • ANYONE IN THE PITTSBURGH AREA?

Come see "The Bad Seed" live on stage at The New Olde Bank Theatre in Verona Pa in March 2009!

Google up the website for the theatre and click on "Announcing our 2009 season!" for details.

  • that's crazy i never knew she released a single. and it's too bad they didn't put it in the film.

  • I was looking for a posting of Rhoda's piano playing when I came across yours. So glad I did. I don't recall the Bubble Gum song, but I've never forgotten sweet Rhoda. Poor Leroy!

  • This is far to entertaining.
