Might be the power supply caps. Those have been known to fail b/c they are under rated for the job. If you know someone who is good with electronics maybe you can have them take a look at it. Chances are it's the large filter caps not passing a load test. I had a polaroid TV with an external power supply and this was the issue. I now run it off a PS to an XBOX 360 video game console and it works well.
everyone had this prob with many different polaroid tvs. Its the power supply in the back. ~20 worth of parts if you are lucky or ~250 to get a new power supply.
lol i thought you meant your camera sucks. anyway, polaroid is shitty at everything... except that i have a polaroid i830 digicam, which is an okay camera but all in all polaroid should be banned from the market.
lol, i have the same problem with my LG LCD 19" model 1934S....... and it have 1 year and 3 month, it have 2 years of waranty but is not covered, 'cause i bought in the USA, and i live in Costa Rica.
the service of LG Centro America SUCK, don't buy any products of LG
I have the Polaroid 42" model # TLX-04244B and it works great. Bought it on last years black friday. I play my ps3 and xbox 360 for hours and hours and it hasn't failed me yet. I finally bought a wall mount for it, but, can't figure out how to install the brackets on the tv. If anybody knows a way please help. I cant find any holes for the screws. Do I have to unscrew the screws on the tv? Help!!!
I will never buy anything made by this crappy company ever again after how they made these tv's and refused to recall any of them when it affects 90+% of em
I have this in 32" and have been lucky so far (going on one year). But all of these failures are probably bad electrolytics in the power supply.
Seen this problem in other brands as well. If electrolytics have vented on your power supply board, replace them with quality units and TV should work for years and years. Most flatscreens I have repaired were simply poor quality powersupply electrolytics. When they fail, TV begins shutting down or noise. Cost in parts - never more than $10.
I have been having issues, you are lucky that you got it and had problems within the first 2 weeks of owning it, I have had mine a year and half and am having to deal with the warranties company, which hasn't been much help. I am going to post a video response to my videos, and it will show you if you want to get a warranty through the Walmart Company because National Electronics Warranty is not too helpful ;(.
i bought this same tv. same day. the right half of my screen has a pink ghost. hope you can figure out whats wrong with yours. i went to walmart.. they dont have this in stock.. went online and walmart doesnt sell them anymore. thats crud. well i lost my receipt. i screwed myself :) life is great!
this makes me sad. polaroid used to make instant film and it was just about the coolest thing in the world. then they sold out and started making tv's but who wants a polaroid tv? this company will not last another 5 years.

Your first mistake was buying a Polaroid. Samsung is unreliable as well. Sony is the best and most reliable of any LCD set. You get what you pay for.

Polaroid shouldn't make TVs!
It's like SONY making SONY cereal.
