@travis7310 Art Sanders sure wasn't, not like Rod Roddy or Rich Fields or Burton Richardson. I don't know why the OINK everybody keeps saying Art Sanders was good.
It was, thank goodness he's loosened up his voice a lot since he was given the permanent announcing job in 2004. He was honestly awful during that early period.
It isn't Burton; in fact, Rich was given the permanent role in April on 2004, so this MDS aired about 6 weeks after he got the job. But I had wanted Burton to be the next permanent announcer so badly.
@travis7310 I'll agree to that. If it wasn't for Mike Richards, who is also the executive producer of "Let's Make A Deal," Burton probably could have been picked to be host.
@the69chevykid Well, unfortunately for you, that ain't gonna happen, especially not if Mike Richards is still the executive producer, that's for OINK sure.
@the69chevykid Well, of course Rich sounded "awful." Johnny Olson sounded the same way when "The Price Is Right" started in 1972 and Rod Roddy sounded the same way when he took over as announcer in 1986.
Woah! At 2:12, did the prize backdrop get oxidised or what!??!

Besides Burton, Rich, and Randy, another great announcer was Art sanders, who was almost chosen by Bob on the spot.

I actually liked Burton. He did a real good job on "Family Feud".

I thought so too.
