  • Great singing! Thank you for posting!

  • Love the decrescendo! Must have been an unexpected surprise for the audience.

  • Bergonzi was a great tenor.I wander how would Pavarotti compare cause he is so overrated.I cant stand the fact that Pavarotti was so popular and more well known then the rest of the great tenors just cause of the development of music industry and mass media in the 80s&90s as well as the popular recordings of arias and with pop performers. And still there are people who in fact, never heard any other great tenor and claim that he is best ever, one of the all time greats at best, not one inch more.

  • Spot on, I question my self thing, I cannot understand why pavarotti was so overrated, perhaps because publicity and marketing, Luciano had a fantastic manager herbest Berslin os something like that, Unfortunatelly this is how opera singer operated unlike Alfredo Kraus always serving music.

  • @markovican Send me a live recording of Pavarotti singing flat on one high note and I will send you twenty with Carlo Bergonzi but singing in tune ain´t important just as playing in tune ain´t!! Of the three tenors Luciano had the longest career and sounded younger and with more freshness then both Carreras and Domingo. I adore Bergonzi´s silk like timber and wonderful legato but can´t stand his flat high notes and weak acuti above the passagio.

  • @Bjoerrelli Are you kidding? Fat Pav had a longer career than Domingo you truly are from another planet!

  • @sgreg53 Why do you start of with an insult to Pavarotti´s bodysize? Is that very important to you? Domingo´s voice have never thrilled me. Maybe I´m in love with great high notes which he never had during his career. Notes above A-natural was always a risk with Domingo. Maybe that´s not important in the Wagner rep which is what Domingo spend most of his last 15 years singing. 1990 when they sang the three tenor concerts Pavarotti sounded younger then both P.D and J.C

Saluti.
