They're also releasing DBZ Kai as it comes out on DVD.

I'm waiting for DBZ Kai Part 7 to be released on Blu-ray, it's at a low price so why not, plus I have the previous parts already.

Why would cursing make an anime better there's no difference I enjoy both English and Japanese versions. Japanese had better dialouge and actors. The English version has better background songs durring CERTAIN scenes such as super saiyan 3 theme , future gohan dying,goku saying his last goodbye during cell game, and goku meeting goten.

Well the reason for Goku's voice is because Dragonball came out first in Japan and everyone grew up with that voice, when Goku returned as an adult at the Tenkiachi Budokai Tournament they tried to deepen his voice a bit but people couldn't get used to it and his boyish voice just stuck with the Japanese. And women do 99% of boys voices in cartoons and anime. Its kinda weird at first but once you get used to it, you understand the awesomeness.

Some have even watched the Japanese dub and read the entire manga. I love how they give as much respect to the Japanese voice actors as they possibly can and yet THEIR fans have the audacity to call Funimation's dub garbage. They worked hard and without them DBZ wouldn't be half as popular as it is today. Get your head out of your ass.

No way. This is considered one of the greatest animes of all time and has won the most awards. English dub is good but this is the most famous and most epic version of DBZ. Once you get used to Goku's voice you won't ever go back. Goku might sound weird but every other character sounds much more badass in Japanese.

People in Japan grew up with Dragon Ball (when Goku was a only a kid) and they got attached to him cos of his unusual personality. They kept the same VA to show the fans that he hasn't changed.

Yes. The English version heavily edited and changed the script to fit American kids TV. The original Japanese DBZ has a lot more swearing and stuff that couldn't be said on American kids TV.

Akira Toriyama gave him the softer voice actor (he hand picked Goku's Japanese VA back in the 80s) so A) Goku would sound original instead of a generic anime hero voice B) To match his traits of a goofy naive Japanese hillbilly from the mountains with a childish personality. Its weird at first but once you get used to it you understand why they gave him the voice.

if you watch from DB you will understand why Goku sounds like this. Americans have the nostalgia of the tough guy Goku but the fact is thats not how Gokus supposed to sound. Toriyama gave Goku the boyish voice because he's supposed to still be silly/naive/kidlike. trust me once you get used to Goku sounding like this its hard to go back to the dub. also even though goku sounds funny, the rest of the jap voices (FREEZA, Trunks, Vegeta, Tien, etc) are FAR better than the corny english dub

This is one of the things I didn't like about the Buu Saga...inconsistency to the previous sagas.

The Genki-Dama used against Frieza was HUGE and it still didn't kill him (despite Frieza being at 50% of his maximum power).

So...it should make sense that a Genki-Dama against Kid Buu, who makes Frieza seem like a fly, be 30-50 times the size of the one used in Planet Namek.
