@xHaterofHatersx No, it doesn't make it any harder. It makes it easier because you do not have to bend as much. I wouldn't expect a State fan to understand that though.
@VCavman24 msu's backbend requires more balance than michigan's does. they have to stay flat on their feet while michigan's drum major literally just stretches and falls backward. yeah the michigan backbend looks harder, but compared to the balance required to do the msu backbend it's no more than a thigh stretch. don't even try to argue with this "state fan", i've done both.
Ah, a little slice of home... I'm an alum of MSU, and still miss hearing the sounds of the band practicing, or playing on gamedays, echoing across North Complex.

my band director copied the beginning and end of the state fanfare and put it on our fanfare. I know he went to MSU but gawd!

That's called State Fanfare, not Spartan Fanfare. Spartan Fanfare is an older pregam fanfare. (I'm an SMB alum.)
