  • Just like 90% of televangelists hes looking to pray off the simple minded and make a profit lolz....this guy is a joke!

  • People who dislike this are clearly brainwashed liberals who hate Christianity and the truth that they will stand before God someday where they'll have to explain themselves to Him

  • @SpartanMen I am God.

  • @Emc209i No, I AM.

  • @sweet518 Well put sir.

  • @Emc209i Not that a buffoon who doesn't know that "blueprint" is one word is qualified to speak about history, but just for fun let me know how monotheism "is a mockery of the modern age"?

  • @QRF11B This is the best you could do?

  • @Emc209i I'm just reflecting the sophomoric nature of your assertions. When a 24 year old student named Paul Haskins from Charlotte NC, offers his half-baked opinions on matters that supersede his level of comprehension then his said opinions demand criticism.

Furthermore, when Paul Haskins has demonstrated a lack of understanding regarding remedial grammar then how can one be expected to take his opinions on topics of far more complexity seriously?

  • @QRF11B This is still rather rudimentary on your part. I don't believe this is the best you can do. Go deeper.

  • @QRF11B I knew you wouldn't have the moxie to defend your opinions, Paul. But speaking of "going deeper" who are those two women you always take pictures with? Do they live with you in NC?

  • @ padawan3000, i'll pray you wake up from your pitiful ignorance. You clearly haven't been taught the first thing about this great country, like many others having been taught in public schools since the 60's. It is not your fault you simply are a product of others pitiful ignorance and willful deceit. Now the question becomes why are you here blathering your ignorance for all to see. Not for love I am sure.

  • @Leftfootleeds Your religion is a mockery of the modern age. The God of the bible is a blood thirsty tyrant. Only a fool would believe Abrahamic religions are a religion of love. This is a marketing ploy to make MONEY; whoever wrote this doesn't give two flying fks about you or your religious beliefs.

  • Does this bible come with a holy handgun for the righteous killing of sinners?

  • The Only reason the United States exisits is to Spread the Gospel According to Christ. We have a rich Christian History . But to many weak peopl cant accept the truth of this. They say what they want to be the truth and try and get people to believe in there own falsehoods.

  • This Bible says that July 4th is the second most important holiday, right after Christmas and ahead of Easter (resurrection of Jesus). Hmm.... Sounds false to me.

  • This very Bible is anti "God so loved the world." We can love this great country of ours, best by not falling into blind nationalism. We love this country best by bearing witness of Jesus person and example in our lives. Love Christ 1st, and love all people like Christ loves them, and who give himself for them.Read More

  • Thomas Jefferson was a deist..

But however, I don't think it is such a horrible idea to link the Bible with American history in one book.

  • "Inside the Bible's pages lie the answers to all the problems that mankind has ever known. I hope Americans will read and study the Bible. The Bible can touch our hearts, order our minds, and refresh our souls." (Ronald Reagan)

  • AWESOME BIBLE - I just got my copy and have read through it. Very well researched, inspiring stories that have never been told. I encourage everyone to get a copy for themselves and read it before "judging a book by its cover."

  • Damn! How stupid!

  • Worst. Idea. Ever.

You can't look for America in the Bible. America isn't in the bible.

You can't claim that America was founded on Christian Principles. The founding fathers were Deists.

Patriotism can very easily serve as idolatry. And this bible serves as proof. We can't equate our nation to the message of God... Our nation has never stood for the nation of God.

  • You are right America is not in the Bible. No one has said that. But you can find the Bible in America. Just go to Washington DC and look at all the monuments and statues.

If you would actually READ what the founding fathers believed from their own journals, letters and speeches you will find that MOST of them were Christians NOT deists.

If you take patriotism to the point of idolatry, you've got deeper problems.

  • aaaaaactually... the only grounds you have to say that our founding fathers were christians is that they used the word god, WHICH DEISTS DO! Let's not play games with the truth, it's immature and annoying. So called "christian principles" are very similar to humanistic principles, so it is silly to say that the US was founded on christian ideals... the whole purpose of the US was to escape religious persecution!

  • America was founded for freedom of religion practice, NOT freedom from religion practice.

  • @padawan3000 Exactly! Its an american bible of hypocrisy! God calls us to love one another. Today American christians believe that when traspassed against we take vengeance by prison or capital punishment or war. If this is christs message that why did the early christians not strike back against the roman persecuters? But stand by as they were tortured and burned and mauled to death while loving their enemies and praising God!?

  • This is not about God ONLY loving America. God loves everyone on earth and wants to have a relationship with them. This bible does not take away or delet from ANY of the original scriptures, therefore it is NOT blasphemous. It simply includes "seperately," great stories of inspiration from great Americans who love and trust God.

  • "babylon the great is falling!" it will be a glorious day when the church realizes and embraces what it really means to live as a set apart people within an empire of greed, injustice, violence and apathy! long live the revolution!!

  • It amazes me that anyone would be against something so positive and uplifiting as that. It has NOTHING to do with nationalizing religion, proclaiming Christianity as the adopted religion of the U.S. government, seperation of church and state, or that God has only blessed America and not other countries. This is a celebration of God's greatness in people's lives!

  • All who believe that Jesus Christ is Lord!

  • could u try explaining that that to a bitter iraqi? or anyone against our country? do think they would except jesus if they are taught to believe (in this case, just by seeing this book) that jesus is america and america is jesus? jesus never got involved with the politics of his day and i dont think he would want it now

  • The authors of this Bible have exchanged our model of morality from a servant king who died for his enemies for a nation which kills in the name of personal liberty.

Christ always stood at the side of the oppressed against the oppressors. Jesus brought the message to an oppressed people under the rule of the world's superpower of the day, these people are trying to make the message about today's superpower. America needs to learn from the bible, not impose itself on it.

  • This is not good. People who need to know the Bible do not need the "American" perspective on it because that is so often a distorted one.

  • I am so sorry to see this Bible go into print. I can only assume that with such support of nationalistic war mongering, that the Sermon on the Mount will be abbreviated in this version. What happened to "love thine enemy"? This is NOT patriotism. This does not look like Jesus. I am a follower of Christ and an American, and the existence of this book makes me truly sad... and even more sad that there are those that are proud and excited to read and embrace it. Lord help us...

  • This bible is a sick attempt to keep intact the unfortunate and mistaken idea of manifest destiny. While the discussion of Christianity & American Patriotism is an interesting one, to blend the too in a bible is blasphemous. If you believe that Jesus did not teach us to love our enemies or to pray for them, and instead you would like to kill them (believing that such violence is blessed by God) then this is the Bible for you. As a Christian, I repent for the existence of this horrific book.

  • I can only pray that this is a joke. Jesus loves people from Japan, Germany, Iraq, Afghanistan and every other country that America has gone to war with just as much as he loves people from America. No wonder the rest of the world has such a negative view of American "religion." As a Christian in the US, I do too after seeing stuff like this.

  • I can't wait to begin to read the articles and other resources that has gone into this Bible. I can't wait to see how the Bible was interwoven into our government. This will be of tremendous value to me.

  • "Then the Dragon took his stand on the sand of the shore. And I saw a beast rising out of the sea...and the Dragon gave it his power and his throne and great authority....In amazement the whole earth followed the beast. They worshiped the Dragon, for he had given his authority to the beast, and they worshiped the beast, saying, 'Who is like the beast, and who can make war with him?'

  • This is going to be a great resource. Thanks for the research that went into this!

  • this is going to be a great resource that leads alot of people down the wrong path.
