Hi Victor.. I can't pretend to be a fan of the 'Stones'.. but this is a nic elilting piece and you are moving through it with your usual 'effortless ease'. Nice playing my friend. Got your message and will reply at the weekend. I had a Birthday yesterday and I'm just recovered!
John,If I have to choose I'm a much more Beatles fan,I think this is the nicest composition that I like from the Stones. I think the Beatles had more sophistication in their playing and Compositions. Anyway the next will be Boppin" a la Charlie Parker, thanks, looking forward to your reply, greets Vic.
Thanks Paul, maybe a little "Latino" influences here and there in this Tune,In Spain I'm always listening to Flamenco, man those guys simply blow you off this Planet and the only thing left is go home to study, greets Vic.
wow...what can i say Victor ur version is an extremely powerful piece of music.brought a little tear to the surface especially that part where the vocals would be 'i hate that sadness in ur eyes' really got me man. thank you.
Thanks Gavin,I've always liked this composition, and it's like I said,I'm always wondering how I can place a nice tune in a musical context that adds to the performance and makes it Vital, greets Vic.
Thanks Bob, well it's a combination of technique, inspiration, creativity to bring a tune to life in finger-style guitar, wish I had the technique of some of those Flamenco Cats, they're far out.Greets Vic.
Vitor Your sensational mate. Giving me lots of ideas. Just watched your Riders on the Storm and will imediately rip off some of your improvisions:) Thanks and keep it up
Korgtri,Here someday a friend put a piece in my hand,it was a solo I recorded on the Tube from "Little Wing" put on Tabs,he said he's using it to teach his Pupils on Improvisation, Well I'm going to negotiate with Tube now,try to get my share of all those commercials they're putting up,LOL greets Vic.
Hi Scott, I think you hit it on the Spot, an excursion now that's a great word, you didn't think that Minor maj7 chord was too of the hook,it came out spontaneously like that, great comment Amigo,Vic.
Vic! I love the sound of a ''minor M7'' chord. It's application is nearly absent from typical Rock music. A great chord to experiment on with altered or exotic scales, or with the ''ascending'' variant of the ''melodic minor scale.''
i have a great idea, ill hook u up with one of my wifes sisters or cousins in philippines then we will be related and we will have a blast, by the way there is a gutar builder in philippines who makes world class jazz guitars and classical guitars, i need to send a video of the one i bought there u will love it
Hi Pop, those Philippines are nice people, very friendly and they love Music but look at my finger man I'm wearing a ring,a very nice gesture though you're a great guy, great sense of humor too, greets Vic.
Ha,ha,Merlyn I like to wear everything right, how can I press those strings with a ring on my left finger, I'll start using my hand as a bottleneck,LOL greets Vic.
Fred you're right man,I'll never be a Flamenco player(too European for that) but it's true that the soul of what you adore starts to influence you in a way, I've listened a lot to that style, thanks for commenting, greets Vic.
Victor, this is very beautiful done. Knowledge and technique are very important, but when you have the possibility to improvise, than everything comes together in a great way. On the other hand, I like it very much, that the intro is recognizable in the end. Well done!!!
Thanks Roeleke, you listened well,I thought "Form" was important here. Intro-A,A,BA(2 times)- Outro(same as Intro).
I freely used this concept(don't even know if the original is like that) anyway, in an way I like when Tunes start to live an own life, that means that it's slowly turning into something else(with all respect to the composition of course)Very nice comment Roeleke enjoyed it,greets Vic.
Great fingerstyle playing and note perfect! I loved the improvisations on the original, they were very imaginative. You get such great tone out of all your instruments, something to aspire to. Thanks for the great videos.
Thanks Rich, I was fooling round with this little tune and suddenly these Inventions entered my mind and kinda spiced up the whole basic idea, greets Vic.
Thanks Lance, while I was playing I bumped on that descending bas line on E7 that worked kinda nice,I'm always looking for movement in chord-melody or Bass patterns, thanks for nice comment and rating,Victor.
Excellent playing !!
