Kids are united and they will never be divided! You know that violence is a disease It's going to be a part of our lives and our future if we don't do something against it! But if we put our energies together it could be a very powerful era! Riot sound effects can produce riots Play them in a riot situation and the police will come you'll see! The kids are united and they will never be divided! play this game right! No difference between black and white! the difference's between young and old!
If voting worked I'd still be against it because it is immoral. It is nothing more than people control and I don't believe I should play any part, no matter how insignificant, in controlling other people's lives. Moreover I don't want other people controlling my life.
Also, what if you vote someone into office who ends up ordering military strikes that kill innocent people? Despite your best intentions you would be partly responsible for the deaths. I want no part in murder or theft.
Fair enough. I used to vacillate on the subject myself but I just can't escape the feeling I have that coercion (government or otherwise) is wrong. It's just a feeling. I don't know how to prove it or if it can even be proven. Maybe immorality is the wrong word. I think humans were evolutionarily designed to get along with one another. To me the utilitarian and morality aspects of freedom are two sides of the same coin. Though I still can't help asking, what if voting did work?
Participation in voting is an implicit validation of the system. If voluntarists believe what they say then logically they should not vote. It is contradictory to claim the system cannot be fixed without total reform then go ahead and try do just that by voting.
I don't know. Depends on your perspective. Freedom will probably come faster the more quickly the state expands. So maybe you should even be voting for the worst parties.
But again, if I had a choice, I wouldn't vote. Because it's a waste of my time, and the action implies the belief that the system can be fixed via the ballot.
Yeah, the more I think about it the more I see the pointlessness of voting. I'll think I'll just completely sever any voluntary relationship I have with the state.
When I read this I see how this can be interpreted as me being ironic but that's not the case.
Well I agree 100% with you. Voting is a delusion of choice and who wants to be deluded?'Normal' people (IQ100) will find it hard to understand (see theoriginalanomaly - i'm assuming irony in the naming convention)If you hit someone it legitimizes them to assualt you...Also if you vote for someone it legitimizes their rule over you. In australia it is against the law not to vote! Hows that for choice!
I am a voluntarist, and I voted. Voted libertarian across the board. I don't see harm in it, as it does not make it more or less legitimate. However I do some hope of state congressmen being elected. The more people I see get into libertarian idea's, the more I see them get into austrian economic ideas, the more I see them get into anarcho-cap, and voluntarism. It is a stepping stone in my mind. About people not being able to keep check books. Your right, now I want to shoot myself in the face!

I don't think the question should be "When will the government end?", but rather "When will we be ready for this change?"

For the record, I reject the concept of objective morality.

I don't disagree but wouldn't be better to vote against the party or person that you would feel would do the most harm?
That's what I'm thinking about doing in the next election which is coming up.
