  • i'd love to see inside paris hiltons mind if she watched this documentary. It would probly make her go and buy a gucci watch.

  • Thank you for uploading~

Thank YouTube and invention of technology for free education^^

  • IM A CLONE

  • @shookstylez You're my clone, and your purposed ot living is for me to harvest your organs, and use them when I need them. Muahaha

  • @Grizby01 That would be very hard to prove to a human.

  • Why the does BBC air awesome programming and in the US we're stuck with Jersey Shore and the fucking Kardashians?

  • @cundionfire I'm guessing you've never heard of through the wormhole ?

  • @cundionfire well over here in australia we get like 10 channels for free, we use to get about 5 for free bout 5 years ago

  • @cundionfire so that you can be dumbed down to an idiot. I hate to say these - but the masters of this country don't want an informed citizenry.

"Keep them opiate and in a state of perpetual coma ;-)"

  • @libertarianAtheist1 very true and it is very unfortunate that so many people find bliss in ignorance

  • @cundionfire gotta tell you, while US TV is pretty rubbish, the BBC is an exceptional endeavor which we can only hope continues in this age of everyone-wants-to-be-a-celebrity thing we're experiencing now.

  • Michio Kaku is awesome! X3

  • @Keitaro2011 I don't think so, it seems to me that Kaiku is not a scientist and that he spends more time in front of cameras rather than in a lab!

  • @Grizby01 Yes. it would. it would stop wondering about itself.

  • my bat hurts

  • Isn't he contradicting himself by saying that time could come to an end and that time travel is also possible? Because if time travel is possible that means that the universe will ALWAYS exist in a certain time as will all of us humans?

  • @spisteker Touché! but if you think about space, imagine you live in a finite box. You can go back and forwards, for ever but that doesn't make the box infinite. With time it could be the same, you can go back and forwards but the length of time is not infinite. That's of course, i you really can travel in time!

  • If you travel back in time are you taking the whole universe back with you or is there a universe of 50 years from now and from 50 years ago etc?

  • any1 got the time?????????

  • 4 people dont know what time is. Hit the replay please.

  • @Grizby01 yes i agree. The Anthropic principle is all hogwash crap. The cosmological principle makes more logical sense. It postulates what you said that the universe wouldn't stop if humans became extinct. Additionally it postulates that our universe is not infinite and that it is only one universe out of many that happens to have the right balance for the energy from the 'big bang' to go on to create matter and eventually complex life forms via evolutionary processes.

  • What if time has different speed? What if time is stopping sometimes? What if time has been stopped for a billion years? Could you notice that???

  • @longhorn4500 Only if some force could act outside of time. Sadly, it would be very hard for us to determine that to be skips in time's functioning, it would just confuse us and we would find some way of explaining it, but it would be nearly impossible to prove without being able to directly affect time itself.

  • @longhorn4500 Time will never stop. If someone were to take a spaceship and went exactly the speed of light, then in those circumstances time would appear to be stopped relative to any stationary object such as a stationary observer on Earth. That's because of the Lorentz formula. You would essentially be dividing by zero and therefore the time dilation would be infinite.

  • 6:56 Einstein looks like a white version of Neil deGrasse Tyson

  • @koochkooch I bet Neil would find that both offensive and flattering.

  • @Herv3 I wholeheartedly agree :P

  • i think im watching too many of these type of documentries

  • @creamycurdy hahaha and getting High too? ;)

  • The appropriate question is, "*When* the hell are they?" You see, Einstein has just become the world's first time-traveler! I sent him into the future. One minute into the future to be exact. And at precisely 1:21am and zero seconds, we shall catch up with him and the time machine.

  • yes.... yes.... but will it blend?

  • @Straffle Yes it can!!!

    Bing!!

  • ticking away the moments that make up a dull. You fritter and waste the hours in an off hand way.

Tired of lying in the sunshine, staying home to watch the rain. You are young and life is long and there is time to kill today

And then one day you find, ten years have got behind you, no one told you when to run.... you missed the starting gun. (SOLO) :) (Time by Pink Floyd)

  • Time is simply a relative term to express relationship between two or more referenced events and can be broken up into any denomination and explained in terms of either direction between the two or more events.

  • Comment removed

  • @aqstermole you should really use proper citation when using another's words, as your entire response is from Pink Floyd's song "Time".

  • @DonWTPHG yeah i know i put it as being relevant to this video....i out a guitar solo sign in the end :) but you're right i will put references.

  • what is the music at 5:30 ? thanks

  • @Grizby01 -Spot on...

  • @Grizby01 it went on for a few billions years from the beginning before humans evolved ... so yes of course it will go on without us ...

  • interesting. ty for upload mate

  • @Grizby01 or would the universe stopping be the cause of humans disappearing?

  • Eintstein's time discovery is nothing. It merely proves that illusions exist in realiity because of perception. Thus magic tricks exist. If you are person A traveling faster than person B, then time illusion exist. Simple and clean and nothing more.

  • Universe would stop without life; and that is why we get recycle instead of permanent eradication.

  • Thanks for posting this awesome series. Dr. Kaku is a genius who like Carl Sagan make the high science accessible to the public.

  • @sleepnow00 we need more people like him to educate the laymans on this planet. some of his stuff really gives you a new perspective on life and would make people realise that material possessions are irrelevant and we should strive to develop as much as a race rather than as individuals. If people like Dr Kaku and Carl Sagan were in power, they would be capable of bringing the human race forward rather than backward.

  • we make our money as function of time but none of us truly knows what the fuck time is

  • god damn this kaku shitter, he spreads like malicious code... pure drone must make a living...

  • I do not believe time travel is possible because i don't believe time exists.

  • @FeelOfFriction clocks in space obiting the earth tick faster, fact gravity affects time. its just another dimension.

  • @Grizby01 but we are intimately linked in to our universe's reality and our own

  • so what would happen if the time stops , would it change the way we live?

  • so what would happen if the time stops , would it change the way we live?

  • If the universe is Infinite, and what makes me...me, an Infinite No. Charateristics, and thus thats a 1 in Infinity chance of me being me and me existing, makes it seem impossible but, if the universe is infinite that fits right into it, not just once but an Infinite No. times, amazing is'nt it as Infinity divided by Infinity equals Infinity, we must exist, thus every possible individual does exist, and that is everyone so its impossible for us to not exist...see????

  • We are wet.

  • This video is amazing, and I would love to learn more does anyone have any ideas?

  • -Study physics (objective investigation) specifically you could study the theory of relativity

-Study the perception of time (subjective investigation)

-Time is a major issue in philosophy, study philosophical concepts of time

-Contemplate time under the influence of Cannabis

-Generate your own theories of time based off your own observations and contemplations

  • @CompleteAbstractionZ straight up.

  • why do you think that is so?

  • Comment removed

  • You can not just live in the 3rd demensions because time and space do not just live in 3rd demensions. Time and space spans a lot of area and ( ) undefined. So to learn about time you have to be in another space mental areas. You have to explore the boundries of times and spaces. We perceive only 1 percent of time and space in 3rd demensions. The rest is in other areas.

You must explore your skills and levels and scientific journals to learn how to use time.

  • Keep a journal. What is the place where you reach yourself Conscious level. What do you have to teach yourself from the future. Is there space to download info from the future are you listening and watching. So reach yourself mentally. Time is only man made it is not real. However real time exists and is movable goes in all directions at the same time affects everything. Now keep a journal of what you send back and what you received from your future self.

  • Time can speed up and slow down. Time is a personal thing some people go fast some people go slow. Each have their own bubbles of time and how they use it. The skills of using time perceiving time without projecting our own lack of equipment observations on the element of time. Time is mostly a fabric that events. There are spaces to put stuff in and take stuff out. It is formed by mostly thoughts and actions inactions. Time once perceives is perfect. Time goes up down in all directions

  • WHY ARE WE HERE? AND WHO ARE WE?

  • Don't care about the "why", because if we have a purpose it means that we must to do what sombody else wants, instead of do what we want and dream to do.

Use yor time to ask for the "how" the answers will give you what you really want , POWER.

Don't let that somebody define who you are, you have that power, don't ever and never loose it.

  • yea why are we here ? what is our purpose? and who sent us here ? those are the fken questions id want someone to answer 100% correct

  • I think those are the deepest and most fundamental questions one can ask...also the most objectively unanswerable. I cannot foresee getting verifiable proof of my ordained purpose or character, For now, I'll create my purpose and create my self. But when I do ponder these questions objectively, I am baffled to the point of awe. For myself, Life is Awe.

  • @chicorico78 I found the answer no Joke, why are we here, well i know why i and everyone else is here which is the same thing, please dont think as this as spam please visit [w w w.] mytheories.webs. [c o m]/theorya.htm

please dont not click on it, i'm serious and desperate to show people, cause i've made the great discovery in the last few hours yet people keep ignoring it, so please visit dat site.

  • @chicorico78

you are here to watch youtube, and you a chicorio78, u live on earth, someone's child

  • @chicorico78 well im god and i made this so uh yeah..

  • @TheMidwestsk8ter i could say the same thing. lol. you're not god nor does god even exist. it's all fairytale crap. the right balance of energy from an enormous collision of two membranes created our universe. that's all there's to it.

  • @chicorico78 those questions are exactly why i am so interested in science particularly theoretical physics.

  • @chicorico78 We are the result of a slow expanding Universe struggling to understand iteslf.

  • @chicorico78 We are the way the universe has to understand itself

  • @chicorico78 String Theory. You're welcome.

  • @chicorico78 Because fuck you. Humans, What else would we fucking be?

  • Can anyone tellme the name of the song that plays at the very beginning of this segment... I have been searching for it to no avail.

  • According to my "Shazam" app from my iPhone, the song is called "Rise" by Craig Armstrong. Its not currently on sale in iTunes, but you could see a video with the song on YouTube.

  • Many thanks MrGreenvision for you comprehensive answer.

    Cheers

  • this time travel is technology could help us travel faster in space otherwise it would take forever to get to another planet agree lets go faster then light

  • Beam me up Scotty!!!!

  • ah i knew someone would say that. :D

  • i think time travel in both directions is quite possible but I do not support Dr Ronald Malett'stheory I think its possible to go further back now just how long the machine has been turn on

  • time can be influence only in a matter that speed, distance and velocity is involved and only when it is used as mean of measurement.

But time as a physical thing or matter that acts a gateway to every second that past or to an event that will happen in the future is a complete mis-interpretation of the word time.

  • by teleportation of dark matter inside us

  • we can be free from our time and space

  • Now he's climbing up a mountain! God he's such a player XD I'm not making fun, I do like him; but I half-expect to see him on a yacht with a martini in one hand teaching supermodels relativity from a blackboard X)

  • Look at the car Dr. Kaku drives! He's a play boy lol

  • I know, he's like a rock star physicist X) I love him! :D

  • by watching this video, i think time is not gold but we make time as gold.

  • larojned that idea is hundreds of yrs old disproven by Einstien. And his theory has been proven correct. sorry buddy, ur wrong..

  • yeah larojned, and the world is flat because it looks that way to me.

  • i respect your opinion buddy, but as a fan of science to see is to believe, and that is the reason why time for me is constant unless a real time machine is made. i know you are a fan of science itself so as of now time is constant. =D

  • Just because there are no time machines, that doesn't mean time is 'constant', it just may mean it's one directional. Think about it - you could walk down a road at a 'constant' speed, or you could walk down it changing speeds (not constant) - but your direction will be the same. I get your point I think, but I think you may just be mistaken in your use of the word constant. Probably you just mean 'uni-directional'. Sorry, not to be a prci or anything :) I think I just realised what you meant.

  • In physics time may vary based on velocity and distance, but did you ever saw time as a based of a formula that is given in a matter that can be manipulated?

  • No, and that's what I was saying above. It seems time cannot be manipulated, I agree with you there - all I was saying above is that 'constant' is the wrong word to use for that. We have the same viewpoint! All I meant is that if you go round saying time is 'constant', you'll get people diagreeing because that's not strictly correct. However, I agree with the point you're making. Time may be 'immutable' wiithiout having to be 'constant'.

  • Kaku..gotta love him!

  • There is no such thing as time. Time is a creation of the human mind.

  • you can't unfry an egg. and the shadow of a tree growing naturally is a clock.

  • relativity has proven the existance of time. Space and time are connected one cannot exist without the other.GPS proves this on a daily basis. If time distortion were not taken into account GPS wouldnt work. Time for the satillites moves differently than for us at ground level because they move fast around the earth. Plz dont tell us how dumb u r...Learn science fisrt...

  • No its not. GPS wouldnt work if u were right..

  • Ture but scientifically irrelevant. Making the assumption that time exists allows us to model the world with great accuracy, so it's immaterial whether it 'exists' or not. I mean, does an electron exist? I've never seen one. But they explain and predict a hell of a lot of accurately observed things, and that's the best any of us can do. Assuming time and space don't exist is a really interesting thing to do philosophically (and I agree with you there) - but it makes it hard to do science :)

  • PS that was a reply to 'ballpointpen', not'fvillar', sorry :) Youtube doesn't let you differentiate.

  • thats true. also, you have to take in account that time is different in other places around the universe

  • time is relative ... it might as well stop and start, slow and speed, I'm within it so there is no difference to me.
