  • @HCBailly also in ff2 nes, if you have your mp drained b4 you cast the spell you choose you still will cast it

  • I'm dissapointed Amon didn't try to use Chaos wave

  • You CAN have too many Phoenix Downs. You can steal them from some rare enemies.

  • Geomancer + Shadowflare= Win

  • Amon does do wall change.

  • Sleipnirs can be Toaded.

I watched Xena, but only because her sidekick was cute, not because it was a good show or anything.

  • Xena was cool, Hercules was awesome, but Autolycus kicked ass

  • IT WORKS! IT WOOOOOOOOOOOOORKS!

  • What, accusations of you not being gay?

  • man, the ds version of eureka actually looks like it could be forbidden

this 1, U CANT SEE THE COSMOS, THERE R NO ROCKY STUFFY U CAN FALL OFF

  • Good thing I didn´t miss Eureka...

  • IT WORKS IT WORKS lol i was gonna pee my pants when he said that. i was surprised

  • LOL hc baily watches xena warrior princess

  • Zena ... warior ... princess ...?! What is that?! what the HECK is that?!

  • Turned the ninja into a toad in my playthrough. Hehehehehe....

  • Mr.Refia is probably not feeling very secure about his masculanity at this point.

  • @Shadoogie91 Not sure about the NES version, but in the DS version, Refia's a girl, so she can wear devout's robes just fine. It's rather funny, because in the DS version she sometimes is even more manly than Arc. XD

  • nah, watching zena is manly. just about anything about scimpily lesbians is.

  • Nothing at all wrong with Xena. It was a decent show for it's day.

  • lol, I thought the monsters at around the 7:50s were called Hookah - I was trippin bawls

  • i watched the movies but didnt watch the show

  • You should see the DS version of the level and hear the DS version of the song, but I recommend looking for YouTube full audio versions of the song.

  • An english patch or something?

  • lol i thought you were gonna scream eureka when the key worked

  • the music in the forbidden land eureka

    is amazing

  • 5:52

    That ninja got stoned.

  • I watched Xena, Gabrielle was teh hawtness.

  • "It could be an espresso machine..." lol

I don't know why, but I just thought that was funny

  • Comment removed

  • i didnt remember them changing the ribbon in this game from immunity to status to immunity to elements

  • They did the same thing in IX. I was a little taken aback when I thought the Ribbon was going to be protection from status, instead of wind/water def.

  • is 9999999 too much cuz thats what i have in the ds version XD

  • Wow. No references or clips from the Eureka television series? I was really expecting it too, since the town itself is a hidden town where the greatest minds of the world live and the most craziest and deadliest inventions are, much how this Eureka is described to be, well used to be since the ancients are dead. The series is good btw. you should watch it if you hadn't already.

  • amon liiks like Kuja from FFIX

  • Eureka has one of if not the best music in the entire game. By far.

  • why dont you play the newer ff3? for the ds

  • What does an Italian tell you when you smell bad?

    Eureka!

  • lol Eureka, comes from two greek words. Tu vreka? I dunno how it would be spelled. But it basically means "I found it" in greek. And if you think about it, in just about every use of the word eureka you can replace it with the words "I found it" and the sentence should still work.

  • In the Forbidden Land Eureka i was level 59

  • HOLY CRAP

  • I love the feeling you get when you finally obtain the Shaman and the Warlock, and can replace your old White Wizard and Black Wizard with them. :D

And getting the Ninja and the Sage is just wonderful. ^^

  • Yeah, but in the DS Version the Sage is useless, and the Summoner is just stronger than the Warlock.

  • and they get lots of mp

  • Amon? The Sinistral? lol

  • for once they force you to use the mass amount of gold at the end of a game.

  • Eureka is the best area in all the final fantasies if only because of the music.

  • So THATS why Im having so much trouble in 3 with the bosses when I have no charges for my rez spell or my healer dies.

  • I thought this game only for Japan version. How do you get in U.S version?

  • Fan-translated ROM.

  • Thanks.

  • Well, Bailly, I guess you can thank those of us who suggested you getting the Mute spells.

Oh, and you should tell your resources that Mute does in fact work.

Oh, and this is one of your better LPs.

Hopefully Chrono Trigger will be as splendid as this.

  • Chrono trigger was a better LP IMO

this is a good one too but anyway on another note mute becomes really usefull alone with reflect because ff8 is strongly based around magic.....

  • he edits out the random battles thats why it looks like that

  • Could you do MPC of FFVI's Floating Continent? It seems like a hard track to compose but that music is so awesome!

  • final areas.. music is good and familliar

12 levels isn't THAT much of grinding...

    Hayoooo Hidden TREASURRRE!

too bad ribbon doesn't work like it did in 1+3..

hahaha yeah i bet you DID watch xena.. you geek (thats a compliment)

  • Xena, you think that's bad? I've been watching Gilmore Girls lately. It's like I can't stop.

  • LOL that joke near the end about Xena was priceless xD i would pay 100$ to hear it again...wut its free?? SWEET

  • How do you know? It looks like a girl to me.

  • I hum to the backround theme.

  • For the final boss, you HAVE to make a "Miss Cloud" reference... it's one of only two female final bosses in the main series so far, which has to count for something.

  • actually the cloud of darkness has no gender. it can take whatever shape it wants to.

  • Mute also works on those "Splitting" enemies.

Basically, it should work on any skill or ability except Attack, Defend, and Retreat. (unless it's cast on you)

  • Eureka!

At least the Ribbon gives decent standard defense in this game too, unlike the 1 def Ribbon in FF1.

Hmm, I forget if they hadn't figured yet out how to penalize individual weapons in the back row. You M.Knight may be able to hit fine from the back row row with the FullMoon and a sword if they didn't code properly.

  • I'm pretty sure that in FF3, each weapon's damage is calculated separately, unlike FF4. The Fullmoon would ignore back row penalties, but not whatever other weapon he would have.

  • Huh, strange that they would take a step backwards in logic in a later game.

  • Haha, don't feel bad I watched xena too!

  • Umm, HC. I was wondering if the Golem [Secret boss ] from the Ds version is in this game[Nes/Famicom] version? Just wondering... >~>

  • No.

  • nope

  • awsome man how long did it take to get this far in the game?

  • I love Eureka....you could level in eureka as well as bahamut's cave...sides FREE FOUNTAIN WOOO

  • The largest group of enemies in Eureka is 4, and only on the upper floors, far from the healing pool. At Bahamut's Cave, the largest group of enemies in 6, and right next to the entrance, where you can save and rest up at the Invincible.

  • 6?!....I have a new leveling up area thank you

  • By the way, the Knight can equip the Fullmoon as well. Doesn't make sense but oh well.

  • So the after you beat the last boss you just load your save file and pretend it never happened?

  • Re: Dragoondude32

I thought I should have worded that differently. What I meant was that after the level-grinding, I plan to go through Eureka again with all my new money, and then go through Sylx Tower again to the end of the game.

  • I just want to know what happen after the beat the end game boss is it like kingdom hearts where you just reload a save file,or is it like other games were you just keep going and try to get a 100 percent file(I"m playing one my D.S btw)

  • The DS version lets you save and keep going for that 100% file.

  • I got a bit confused when I was playing the DS version and the Earth Crystal started yammering on about the "Syrcus Tower". Took me a moment to catch on to the fact that was the correct transliteration for "Sylx" :P

    And Dastar=Duster. Lol.

  • so Xena The Warrior Princess is, what?

...Just kidding. The only thing i watch back then was Xena and Power rangers for gods sake.

  • Word Eureka is nice, but when I think about it, I see a naked guy running true the town yelling "Eureka".

BTW I like how they designed the place in DS, making it look more Forbidden.

  • Now see the usefulness of Silence while it may not work on bosses most of the time it really can work to make those annoying spell casters threat level 0 well... unless they attack before you get mute in that is.

  • Xena is cool!

  • I said earlier that you always pick fighter for nes, actually it seems you use fighter in any ff game: Cecil is a knight (fighter upgrade) John looks terribly a lot like fighter in my opinion. not that you had much a choice in FF4 & FFA or FF2, but for FF1&2 is it just a coincidense, are fighters always beter in front row due to mechanics for any game with job classes or do you just strive for consistensy.

  • In FF1 (NES), it is almost mandatory to have a Fighter lead the party, because the programming causes him to receive 50% of physical attacks. In future games, that isn't the case.

  • Hey, don't be dissing Xena!

  • its a coin of doom! lol

  • Haha You watch Xena Warrior Princess! XD

  • 3:55 i seen them in FF12.

  • "Hey! I'd like to see YOU hit him with these shades on!" X3

  • Upon review, I figured that someone was going to correct me that I scored so few hits on the Ninja, because I was blinded, not because he's that hard to hit.

  • Xena kicks ass

  • I would like to give out two completely arbitrary awards.

#1. Goes to HCBailly for his outstanding achievements in LP's.

#2. Goes to the Youtube community for giving thumbs down to comments that say "first comment" or something to that effect.

    Congratulations!

  • Description of Eureka "I have found it!"

We are now in the forbidden land of I have found it. :D

  • @Bastiest But you're not allowed to find it!

  • tht legendary weapon kinda looked like a blitzball lol

  • I thought it was a shield, just looking at it. xD

  • that or a weird looking plate.
