@Shadoogie91 Not sure about the NES version, but in the DS version, Refia's a girl, so she can wear devout's robes just fine. It's rather funny, because in the DS version she sometimes is even more manly than Arc. XD
They did the same thing in IX. I was a little taken aback when I thought the Ribbon was going to be protection from status, instead of wind/water def.
Wow. No references or clips from the Eureka television series? I was really expecting it too, since the town itself is a hidden town where the greatest minds of the world live and the most craziest and deadliest inventions are, much how this Eureka is described to be, well used to be since the ancients are dead. The series is good btw. you should watch it if you hadn't already.
lol Eureka, comes from two greek words. Tu vreka? I dunno how it would be spelled. But it basically means "I found it" in greek. And if you think about it, in just about every use of the word eureka you can replace it with the words "I found it" and the sentence should still work.
For the final boss, you HAVE to make a "Miss Cloud" reference... it's one of only two female final bosses in the main series so far, which has to count for something.
At least the Ribbon gives decent standard defense in this game too, unlike the 1 def Ribbon in FF1.
Hmm, I forget if they hadn't figured yet out how to penalize individual weapons in the back row. You M.Knight may be able to hit fine from the back row row with the FullMoon and a sword if they didn't code properly.
I'm pretty sure that in FF3, each weapon's damage is calculated separately, unlike FF4. The Fullmoon would ignore back row penalties, but not whatever other weapon he would have.
The largest group of enemies in Eureka is 4, and only on the upper floors, far from the healing pool. At Bahamut's Cave, the largest group of enemies in 6, and right next to the entrance, where you can save and rest up at the Invincible.
I thought I should have worded that differently. What I meant was that after the level-grinding, I plan to go through Eureka again with all my new money, and then go through Sylx Tower again to the end of the game.
I just want to know what happen after the beat the end game boss is it like kingdom hearts where you just reload a save file,or is it like other games were you just keep going and try to get a 100 percent file(I"m playing one my D.S btw)
I got a bit confused when I was playing the DS version and the Earth Crystal started yammering on about the "Syrcus Tower". Took me a moment to catch on to the fact that was the correct transliteration for "Sylx" :P
Now see the usefulness of Silence while it may not work on bosses most of the time it really can work to make those annoying spell casters threat level 0 well... unless they attack before you get mute in that is.
I said earlier that you always pick fighter for nes, actually it seems you use fighter in any ff game: Cecil is a knight (fighter upgrade) John looks terribly a lot like fighter in my opinion. not that you had much a choice in FF4 & FFA or FF2, but for FF1&2 is it just a coincidense, are fighters always beter in front row due to mechanics for any game with job classes or do you just strive for consistensy.
In FF1 (NES), it is almost mandatory to have a Fighter lead the party, because the programming causes him to receive 50% of physical attacks. In future games, that isn't the case.
Upon review, I figured that someone was going to correct me that I scored so few hits on the Ninja, because I was blinded, not because he's that hard to hit.
@HCBailly also in ff2 nes, if you have your mp drained b4 you cast the spell you choose you still will cast it

Well, Bailly, I guess you can thank those of us who suggested you getting the Mute spells.
Oh, and you should tell your resources that Mute does in fact work.
Oh, and this is one of your better LPs.
Hopefully Chrono Trigger will be as splendid as this.
Octagon900 3 years ago
Chrono trigger was a better LP IMO
this is a good one too but anyway on another note mute becomes really usefull alone with reflect because ff8 is strongly based around magic.....

Mute also works on those "Splitting" enemies.
Basically, it should work on any skill or ability except Attack, Defend, and Retreat. (unless it's cast on you)
