  • Which forward controls did you use?

  • feel sorry for the Brits having to deal with that 'road sign' license plate.

  • where did u get that mini ape cables ?

  • Comment removed

  • 6"2 here and fits me perfect with forward controls getting mini apes fitted over the weekend white wall tires and springer seat after

  • <- wants one

  • I love how the bike looks with the mini apes! Where did you get them?

  • Nice bike but lose the tank bra, bras are for women and not bikes

  • @bosshogjohn bra is protecting tank from the scratch from the waist carring bag..

  • nice bike partner but ugly piece of metal in the back can u change it 4 a saml 1?dont kil the look in ur bike

  • that's awesome!, how did you get the black exhaust pipes?, this is the bike i want, but all the ones i've seen have chrome exhaust pipes, i want the black like yours.

  • vance & hines pipes

  • @ScottyStudioSelect It's Vance and Hines pipes, you can see them on Vance and Hines's website and buy them from most Harley dealers...

  • thats one ugly licenseplate, big and yellow. which country, UK ??

  • By the way - nice bike :)....but I am bias. I had never been a fan of Sportsters, but HD's mod's made this bike very appealing indeed! I agree....buy American and ride a legend!!!

  • I am a lady who owns an 09 Iron and I am 5'6" and feel just right for this bike. Not sure if I was a lot taller I would think so....I also have the forward controls, mini apes, etc. so a fair comparison.

  • Nice ride blanny. I am picking up an Iron in 4 months and you pretty much have done the same upgrades I plan on doing.

    Those pipes sound great.

  • tank bras are retarded

  • this was the first real harley i rode the other day. and without making any sense at all i now could do with a harley.. harley prices are a bit salty though how do yall justify it to u selves?

  • Actually, where I live in the U.S. the Harley prices are really no different than the jap prices ! Big thing is when you sign on the dotted line for a new jap bike, you automatically lose about 45-50 % of your investment, but the Harleys hold thier value like NO other cruiser !!!

    Buy a Harley, Ride a Legend !!!!!!!

  • yes HD sells the bars as accessories to this bike

    wicked bike

  • I just got my Iron and love it. I also got some shortshots used. i went to the HD service department and they said that you need to buy a new fuel regulator or command module. what else besides high airfilter and pipes did you need to get? Thanks!

  • ....get the smaller plate, about 6 1/2" across. I've run three bikes for years with them on, and never had trouble with the police. Don't get the really tiny ones, though, as they WILL draw the law's attention. Nice bike...have an '04 1200R myself.

  • Nice bike mate, how tall are you? I`m 6` 4" and mostly leg , so I don`t know if I could get away with this even with the forward controls. Any thoughts?

  • im 5' 8' and i aggree that if your 6'4' the bike may be too small for you

  • Cheers mate for the reply. I thought as much. I wouldn`t cool wearing this bike as a thong :-)

  • Nice!

What type of handle bars are those? Are they HD? Thanks.

  • how about 6 foot, too big?

  • ive seen comments on pretty much all the other vids about the 883 and they all say that 6,2 feet issnt a prob..

im 6.3 feet and have took it for a test spin .. i had no problems with it... its a sportster with drag handelbar (stock) so a arched back pretty much goes with the whole idea

  • @blanny17 I'm 6'3' and for me forwards are great, best riding position. Try the sportster 48, same frame and already forward controls on it, just to try the fit.

  • @B3rtje The thing I dont like about the forty eight is that the tank size is so small. I love the Iron and am 6'2'' and am hoping the forward controls will work for me. I sat on the 48 and it felt great but will the Iron feel just as good with forwards? Thanks!

  • HI Kevan

Thanks for the reply, there does seem to be divided opinion although the 'ayes' are never specific (probably because you're correct!). IMHO the uk plate ruins the lines of the back end of the sportster especially when mounted 'upwards' - although the position on this bike is better.

  • Your bike looks awesome - Nice bars :O)

  • not to sure prob yes knowing this country but harley can get them and do fit them to uk bikes

  • nice bike don't really care much for the bars bit s**t better of spending the money on a side mounted number plate lot more cooler

  • Are side mounted plates legal in the uk? They always look way better (especially on sportsters). I hate the way some stick up above the rear fender. At least blannies don't do that.

  • side plates are ilegal in the uk & rear mounted plates have to be regulation size
