Let's face it, doing these round the world trips on a noisy, polluting motorbike is not much of a challenge......its been done by thousands of people. My respect goes to the guys who do these epic round the world adventures on loaded up bicycles! Much more of a challenge and totally green!
That would be because you're an idiot. Slicks in mud... that would be even better then street tires! GP Ducati would take too much maintenance and a hayabusa is too heavy.
great! I drove from Italy to Dakar (Senegal) by Honda Hornet 900, so if you want to discover the world it d6esn't care what motorbike you use! Continue the trip of your life....maybe we'll meet each other somewhere in this wonderful planet!
Yeah... pretty amazing. Look us up when you come Down Under. Countless RTW bikers crash with us... . (Biked three continents ourselves... but not on a sports bike... !)
because then it would have been like any other road trip. thats what makes this vid so unique, people would say your mad if you said about doin what this guy has done
Let's see ... there is the BMW GS,Suzuki V-Strom, Triumph Tiger, Buell Ulysses, Ducati Multistrada, Aprila Caponord, KTM Adventure S and others I'm sure I'm forgetting. Why the hell an R1? The fuel capacity, fuel grade, seating position and suspension inspire me to go around the block at best. Great trip but it pains me to see that moto. By the way, I think I met that guy at Daytona's bike week a year or so ago.
because no one has ever done a world travel with an r1, although I agree with you I would take somethin like a yamaha super tenere around the world instead of an r1
That is truely the best thing on youtube, i have an R1 of this model and theres me always paraniod its gona go wrong or sumthin, jeez im a bitch! Nice one Bro u r an inspiration!! Peace
If you didnt already know that the R1 motor is bullet proof, this video should convince you. No valve adjustment until 26,600 miles? Try that on a Ducati. ;>
