  • forget 3d tv or HD TV. i say HDR TV is the future. or maybe HDR cinema too. i prefer night shots to day ones though. they show the true dynamics of HDR.

  • So what have you done with this besides post it to youtube and give it out to the universe for free?

  • a very god example of good HDR

  • beautiful stuff.

  • Great Job!

  • Which program and camera did you use?

  • Which program did you use? HDR PRO or Photomatix?

  • I like timelapses, I like HDR

    I LOVE HDR TIMELAPSES!

  • What camcorder do you use?

  • Absolutely Love it !!

  • Where is 0:56

  • I love this. I will certainly subscribe to your channel. I am curious how you got your HDR to look so natural. Mine often ends up looking either washed out or not that special, or it gets that awful cartoonish halo'ed look that lots of people seem to love but I think is ridiculous. I usually don't show off any of my HDR work because of the cartoonish style and all the halos.

My current method for acceptable hdr is simply to put all my exposures in photoshop layers and manually cut out the best

  • Amazing! HDR is perfect for timelapsing.

  • Really nice work - a moment of HD zen!

  • Beautiful work! Most people tend to exaggerate when processing HDRs...Congratulations, that isn't easy to accomplish!

  • This is so alluring to me because it allows us to briefly grasp the one element of nature that we have absolutely no control: 'TIME'.

I feel the emotion that it creates somewhere between my stomach and chest; nothing else does this the exact same way....

  • AMAZING! i think the credit is for God for creating Nature

Thanks man i enjoyed any second of it

  • @barlevi1

Where can I contact god I need my backyard to be done.

  • Real nice! That takes some real dedication.

  • what music is this?

  • @AntiqueIvory did you read the description? ;-)

  • wich camera model did you use for this? great quality and well captured

  • how many layers did you use?

  • if your referring to brackets : 5 to 9

  • @milapse

    good stuff

    looks mad legit

took a bunch of time im guessing

  • I think it's all about motion controled tripod, or something like that, maybe DIY.

    I'm right?

  • It's all about pushing the envelope and capturing beautiful stuff... ;-)

  • although I'm not a fan of HDR shooting...this reel looks simply awesome Milapse!!! Great job :)

  • Great reel! Nice work :-)

  • when watching the part from 0:53 and on I just thought HOLY CRAP! That's amazing.

I don't know how he does HDR in video. Don't know which program can automate HDR for videoframes. You must have some very strong PC and/or some long processing hours.

My mouth almost felt open :)

  • Great Reel Jay!

  • that was masterfully done jay. very inspirational.

  • I love doing HDR still images - this is my first HDR video that i saw, great!

  • Nice!! Go, Jay , go!!!

  • WOW!!!! i just now started trying out HDR for still images (using 3 different exposures) its great stuff... but how are you doing it in video???

Tutorial or explaination would be so wonderful!!!

  • Amazing. I've followed your timelapse work for quite a while and watching you improve to this has been great. Keep it up.

  • Time passes so slow after watching your video!

    ;)

  • Great video! How do you deal with battery life and what timing module do you use? Just wondering about your gear and work flow.

  • Great work as usual. IMHO, outdoor shoots are very spectacular, but indoor shoots are more interesting and more dramatics... anyway, superior quality Jay. Compliments. (Roberto, Italy)

  • It was just heavenly! beautiful footage paired with exquisite music! Great job!

  • Hats off to Cody Westheimer on the track. Thanks!

  • Great work!

  • love the indoor footage!

  • This is awesome Jay. I can't wait to start doing more time-lapse when I get a D700 and your rig.

  • niiice! ;-D

  • Beautiful, thanks for sharing.

  • Are these stills? How so you make hdr video?

-Great work. Some of the spots you chose reminded me of Rivendell from Lord

    Of The Rings!

  • I'm thinking about doing a tutorial... this is generated from stills to answer your question though!

Thanks! I'd love to work with weta digital!! ;-) So that's a great compliment.

  • Great !

  • Jay, Absolutely stunning collection. I wish I had more time to use my milapse rig.

  • Thanks Andy! Get out there!

  • Great!!!

  • looks good

  • Jay, you have a really nice house! Great vid!

  • great stuff dude, i love how slow you make the pans. My fav is the sequence with the vertical pan that matches the speed of the shadows moving down the wall (with the arches). awesome.

  • Perfect :)
