@parnash Well, they did bring back part of/all of the original team that made the Ogre games. Personally, gotta give thanks to Atlus for introducing us to the originals, and (personally, a relunctant) thanks to Squeenix (I'd personally say their wallet) for taking a chance at this title.
(I'm none too pleased with Squeenix actions in the past. Squaresoft and Enix were both strong, Squeenix seems to had been mainly riding off it's past popularity. Mainly, not only.)
@Testsubject909 FFXII is the only great thing to come out of Square Enix recently besides this excellent game and WOTL (I don't really think that it is fair to count these since they are remakes of previous games though)
@JudgeMagisterDelita Dissidia is also a fun game, but it also shows Squeenix's boner for their more recent games. Trying to advertise Lightning further and in good timing as they're building for FFXIII-2... yeah, I know. Anyways. You can also see their boner for FF7 and above, what with one new playable character from FF7 (Tifa) and an additional character from FF7 as an assist (Aeris). With other games receiving only 1 added character, if even. (FF1-2-3-6 left out of the new character deal)
@JudgeMagisterDelita Additionally, unfortunately, you could even argue that Gilgamesh is in the game in part due to the fact that he's appeared in additional FF games, including FF12. So in a way, Gilgamesh doubles as the additional character of multiple other games. Even though he does reveal a relation with Bartz, most newcomer to the series who started on 7 onward and never bothered looking back will most likely identify him to FF12...
@JudgeMagisterDelita Yeah unfortunately its not as well received by fans as FFX which is bullshit but what can you do. I agree though FF12 is only great game to come out fro Square enix besides the two you mentioned.
Okay. That's it. I don't care, I'm going to hunt down Ogre Battle for the Snes, Ogre Battle for the N64 and Tactics Ogre for the PS1. Money be damned!
I remember this song when I first played ogre battle years ago in PSX. I'm glad they put this on the TO psp remake

Is this from the same guy who did Final Fantasy Tactics? It sounds a lot like the same style

This theme always reminds me of Star Wars, especially the bit with the isolated strings.

This song doesn't have the fame it should. Like most great soundtrack from the Ogre battle/tactic Ogre serie

I remember hearing this in the first Ogre Battle game. It was so nice hearing it so beautifully remastered in Tactics Ogre
