How did they take a body part out of the character model for Red? I want to see exactly how the animators did that. Usually eyes and stuff are ingrained into the 3D character model's "skeleton".

I’m not an expert, but if I had this task, I would use two models: one with the eyes attached to the skeleton and the other—withought eyes. In that moment, when the Yellow touches the eyes, I would switch the models or rather I would simply make the original eyes invisible and the copy of eyes visible.

@dogman15: A lot of times animated characters' geometry consists of the body, their teeth, and their eyes, which are usually two spheres textured like eyeballs. I bet you anything they "un-parented" the eyes from Red's body to do this gag.
