  • I remember I burst out laughing when I read the first paragraph. It's just so...cheesy.

Doesn't change the fact that this movie is awesome.

  • @speyeker any more cheesy than "the empire strikes back!"..?

  • Despite the first 2 sequels, Revenge of Sith is by far my favorite Star Wars movie.

  • as lame as the prequels were, it was still cool to watch them in theaters for those who weren't around for the first 3

  • There are heroes on both sides? What?

  • Normally the entrance is in Bb Major. This one is in B Major. Strange.

  • The later Star Wars will never be as good as the original ones, but they're still an exception. I will cry on the 10th anniversary of this movie though :o

  • @2OtakuCousins Big Girls Blouse. RaSpex.

  • "What am I watching"?

*SUDDEN CLASSIC EXPLOSIVE STAR WARS INTRO*

"I AM OBVIOUSLY WATCHING STAR WARS!"

I love how the opening scene never leaves room for doubt.

  • where do the words end up at. Do they go to another universe, or they go through a worm hole that leads to the bottom of the screen and change words.... The world will never know.

  • The greatest movie intro of all time, nuf said

  • @yomama629 Ain't even close.

  • @yomama629 The greatest movie of all time.

  • you people should rly stop bitching 'bout "this was better than this and that".

I think the whole storyline was BRILIANT.

  • @ooOmegaSupremeoo FUCK U!

  • The prequels were not as good as the original trilogy , but neither was

the Star Wars Christmas Special and everybody wants to see that. So suck it up fanboys and write your own fantastic story and know it all came from George "toy boy" Lucas.

  • Who thinks that the prequels were really WEAK? The original trilogy was MUCH better.

  • Star Wars: Revenge of the Shit....oh wait!

  • lol im such a nerd

  • I like the part with the paragraphs.

  • A long time ago, when the gays weren't all in our face... lmao!

  • Rest in peace Maurice Murphy. Thanks for bringing life to Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Superman, Gangs of New York, Philadelphia, Batman, Alien movies, Harry Potter, Gladiator etc...

  • 0:07 STAR WARS!

  • That´s the most epicly intro that i ever saw in my life!! Star Wars rules!!

  • Mine is better quality

  • Star Wars rocks!!! Take that Avatar!!! You made one moneymaking movie, Lucas made 6!!!!

  • @MrDavidFILM

    lol, remember Titanic?

  • @UltimateSpikes Yes, and I love Titanic so freaking much...But Avatar is another type of film...I mean, even Lucas made other movies than Star Wars

  • george lucas was really a great director.story of the movie was awsome

  • A long time ago in space... there was yellow text the rocketed upwards into oblivion...

  • I dont have PRO, but is there a similar way to make a text roll like this Studio Platinum 9?

  • Star Wars...most epic movie intro

and most epic and awsome movie

  • "Pursued by the enemy's sinister agents" vs. "Evil is everywhere." I like the new ones better but I got to hand the old ones the win for MUCH better crawls

  • I bet people clapped with joy and screamed with excitement when they saw the Episode III prologue in theaters

  • @HenpeckedHobo3 I did as it was my birthday treat.

It's my birthday on May 4th.

  • @HenpeckedHobo3 So true, everybody did that when I was there.

  • Reading A new hopes crawl and then reading this one really shed some lihgt on how shitty the prequels are. "Evil is everywhere" is the low point.

  • I was working at an amc theater on opening night of this, and to hear the sold out theater (actually there was 16 sold out theaters for the midnight) ERUPT when the starwars logo came on the screen, was awesome and yes gave me goosebumps. I worked at this amc for 6 years and star wars: ep 3 midnight was my favorite shift ever.

  • I would have been so pissed if they had made any sort of monkey chatter during this opening.

  • Fuck I love Star Wars :D

  • Don't we all.

  • @Murraj1966 SO DO I! (EXCITED)

  • when i first saw this in theaters, i got mad goose bumps.

    12:01 showing FTW

  • @tennispro3782 Ehhh...You Wrote 12:01 When This Clip Is Only 1:26...

  • I was talking about the theatre time showing. the 12:01 am showings were the first public ones of the movie. It isn't supposed to be part of the clip, but youtube mistook it as a clip segment (which doesn't exist).

  • @tennispro3782 Ok, Now I Understand... It Must Have Been Amazing To See The Movie In Cinemas...

  • Unfortunately i was a bit young so i only remember a little bit. But it was definitely a memrible experience: seeing people dressed up fighting with lightsabers, massive lines throughout the theatre, absolutely packed theatre, tv crew, people saying loudly "finally after this It will be okay to die" and things like that.

    it was fun.

  • @tennispro3782 Sounds Lovley...How Old Was You By Then...?

  • I was 12 then

  • @tennispro3782 Really...I Was 11

  • I'm more excited than ever for the upcoming television series, which takes place right after the events of Revenge of the Sith! Here's hoping that Revenge of the Sith, knocks off Titanic as the highest grossing film of all time!I Enjoyed Watching This Movie At BigOnlineMovies . c o m

  • well the bad thing is george said there will be no jedi or sith in it

  • You did that yourself!

  • Star Wars opening title is cool.

Star Wars is popular also in Japan.

Jedi knight is fencing like the samurai.

    Greetings from Japan.

  • A long time ago in a bar far, far away ...

    BARS

    WARS

    Episode III

    -Revenge of the empty bootles

  • Revenge of the Spirits!

  • A long time ago in a bar far, far away.

Drinking! The Republic is crumbling under alcohol industry of the ruthless Sith Lord, Count Dooku. There are dumbheads on both sides. Emty bottles are everywhere.

In a stunning move, the an ultradrunk droid leader, General Grievous, has swept into the private bar of a Chancellor Palpatine and stolen hes precious 1976. whine mark collection.

cant finish the damn thing , last part went over the character limit by 93 characters...

  • @cyberdaemon LMAO

  • @cyberdaemon lol gold!!!

  • darth maul has a stepmother....

  • Does anyone know a program that applies the star wars text crawling effect but for PC?

  • LS Text is free and made by the same people who made the famous Lsmaker (a programme that makes lightsaber rotoscoping) and LSsound

its simple and easy to use. u can get some good results.

if u want to go really pro get adobe after effects or sony vegas pro

  • Hey does anyone notice that this entrance seems to be in a different key then the others?

It seems a little off to me.

  • Seems fine to me.

  • Comment removed

  • Doesn't seem like it unless you listen for it, but it doesn't matter anyway.

  • alright

  • Sounds in key but its sped up a little

  • Its actually not in key. When you speed something up, the pitch goes up.

  • If you did it in Audacity or a simple commercial audio editing programme the pitch would change but not on a proffesional editing suite

  • Actually Return of the Jedi (Episode 6) was supposed to be at one point Revenge of the Jedi. this was changed to Return as the Jedi does not take revenge.

  • Cool didn't know that

  • @Arceuszilla

    Yes sir. You got it.

  • @Arceuszilla yeah that would have been a little weird to have Revenge of the Jedi as the title

  • @Arceuszilla its also interesting to note that the emperor's palace was originally going to be on a volcano.

I also find it interesting that the end of the ROTJ is the actual end of the saga.

  • Awesome tittle Revenge of the sith!

  • Like anybody reads them, everybody is just enjoying the music.

  • i cant imagine a world without star wars and jurassic park

  • I can't imagine a world without tacos and pizza.

  • Lol, a bit random...but true...mmmm...tacos and pizza, *drools uncontrollably*...

  • I cant imagine a world without Star Wars and Batman.

  • Gonna watch it in 10 min. :D - Love the star wars Series !!

  • episode 3 revenge of the sith

    War!the republic is crumbling

    under attacks of the ruthless

    sith lord Count Dooku

there are heros on both sides

    evil is anywere

in a stunning move the fiendish

droid leader generel grievous has swept into

the republic capital and kidnapped chancellor palpentine

as the separatist droid army attemts to flee the besiged capital with their valuable hostage two jedi knights lead a desparate mission to rescue the captive ..

  • yeah that's what it says

  • great music theme i like it very much esspecialy the beginning that is motherfucking great

  • @afrohoofd12 Music is done by John Williams & The London Symphony Orchestra.

  • does anybody knows for sure if the title ''the return of the jedi'' THE JEDI is singular or plural??? as well with ''revenge of THE SITH''

  • plural ofcourse! Both of them. Even if it is performed by 1 person. Because they are both announced as a group tbh. The Jedi Force and The Sith. Would be diffirent if they used Master or Lord behind it. So they could announce it like that if they wanted to have it singular.

  • EPIII was really good but it took so long to get there because you had to wade through EPI and II.

  • @timbosforporn Star Wars Episode 3 Revenge Of The Sith was NOT really good at all it was so sad. I give the whole film a 1 star rating.

  • @Concertchoir75 It was suppose to be sad and depressing.

  • star wars is the best

  • Even though the music has been distorted through PAL, I think the way it turned out here kind of makes it sound like it has an added poignancy--even urgency. Which in this case just happens to fit the very tragic ending of this chapter. Does anyone agree?

  • Umm... What the f$%! are you talking about? PAL is a video standart, not audio! It can't distort the music!

  • Actually PAL movies run slightly faster because they play the very same frames that the cinema version but at 25 FPS instead of 24 FPS. The audio is accelerated accordingly.

  • If I remember it correctly, it just shows more frames per second... It doesn't change the audio speed -_-'

  • As I said, the movies feature exactly the same frames. There is no interpolation as in NTSC. If you have 25 minutes of film at 24 FPS this will translate into 24 minutes of PAL video at 25 FPS. The very same images, played slightly faster. The audio is accelerated to keep in sync.

  • Kamikadze:

    terone is right.

However, it does puzzle me why the audio often ends up higher pitched, because the technology exists to alter the speed of audio while keeping the original pitch. I don't know why they don't employ that technology when transferring to PAL. If I were a composer I'd be mad as hell about it, since even a small distortion often completely changes the character of a piece of music.

  • yeh

  • Revnge of the Sith was such a great movie. Why people , like confused mathew don't like it is beyond me.

  • @bearjogs I think people like the happy ending that were common in the original Star Wars movies and I bet the same people who didn't like the prequils are the same people who didn't lke Empire Strikes Back.

  • The greatest star wars of all time. Anakin Skywalker becomes Darth Vader and two saviors become born in Luke and Leia.

  • Were can i get that opening STAR WARS font?

  • This is my life

  • Man, every time I hear this music, even without words, I picture the opening crawl moving along.

IT IS A TIME OF GALACTIC WAR AND TURMOIL. BAD PEOPLE ARE DOING BAD STUFF AND THAT GUY IS GOING TO STOP THEM. NOW, WATCH THIS BATTLE....

  • This seems like it's fake because the real opening crawl's music is a bit toned down and also the font is different. Also, you are using a different starwars selection in this vid.

  • yeah thats what i was thinking

  • this is authentic, as per the prequel-trilogy specs. The very original (the Original Edition of IV, V, and VI) had problems with the tuning of the 20th century fox and then the actual opening crawl (response to Abriggs500 june 2008)

  • how do you do that thing

    like how it's going up

  • Hold the mayo.Palpy is playing both sides against each other. He weakens the republic and the seps to the point he can control both.He wipes out the seps and the jedi.

  • i have aquestion.....in da beginning it syas in along time ago in a galaxy far away...does dat mean all star wars events episode 1-VI are all told from sum1 who must have expirenced it already...?

  • Concertchoir3

you mispelled the word someone like this sum1

that is wrong grammer looks like you can't spell unlike me who can spell every word 100%

so since you can't spell than you're RETARTED & DUM!

  • Concertchoir3

  • the world may never know...

  • ehh... No? Correct me if I'm wrong, but laser guns aren't invented yet?

  • no they aren't but it would be sweet if they were

  • the only one who could've done that would be C3PO who was the only one to live through everything that has happened since the rebellion era, and we know t he fate off (R2D2 does aswel, but he can't talk english/basic)

  • hey wtfjet, the "war" didn't involve "The Farl Side"... at least not on the surface level and not the ones doing the actual fighting.

The Clones are just clones, they are fighting for the Republic because that's what they are told to do. The Separatists are just good guys who want to break free from rule.

There most definitely were "Heroes" on both sides.

  • I agree with you. I don't understand how people could consider a Republic directed by a Sith lord as "good guys". :D

  • the sound is wonderfoul

  • Damn dude, this is by far my favorite episode, but you are totally right. Now that I look at it "War!" is ridiculous and of course the sith have no heroes, they are all selfish and power hungry. But none the less this is still my favorite episode because it is the closest the the XBOX classic 'Knights of the Old Republic'. (One example) Mace Windoo defeated Sidious in a lightsaber duel - Because he is a jedi guardian and Sidious is a Sith Lord. (If you played this great game you will undersatnd.

  • What are you talking about? The war is between the Republic and The Confederacy of Independent Systems, not the Sith. There are systems who have joined the CIS because the Republic didn't care of their problems and no longer functions and I agree with them. Grievous was a heroe on is planet before becoming machanic. And yes, there can be heroes on both sides because the CIS is not "the bad guy" but the result of the republic's systemic failures. Like Padmé said "it is a failure to listen"...

  • yeah your right

  • Revan was once a darksider

  • soooooooooo lovely i love it when i hear the opening song(H)

  • My opinion of episode 3: Goods: cool opening, action is good, individual scenes are particularly well done (march on jedi temple)

Bads: Anakin's turning to the dark side is unconvincing, Too childish at times, Battle Droids have personalities.

  • Definately agree with the Battle Droid thing, if you look at Episode I they were mindless drones, just as they should be, by Episode III they are just annoying droids with ridiculous voices.

  • Unconvincing? I hope you didn't consider the scene where Anakin pledges himself to Sisdious' teachings as "the scene where he turned to the dark side". Anakin turned to the dark from this scene to the end of the movie with fighting his former master. The turning is long and progressive (that's why he had the yellow sith's eye in the end...).

  • I must disagree. He turns to the dark side in that scene, is christened with the Vader name, asks questions about how to exterminate the Jedi, and causes enough distrubance to the force be felt by Yoda on Wookie Planet. Once he's Vader, Anakin has finished his fall from grace, a fall I find unconvincing.

  • I believe the Wookie planet is known as Kashyyyk.

  • The music and video is sped up. It's probably the PAL version, where everything is sped up 4%.

  • wtf, how and why is it sped up for pal, they wouldn't speed a film up, plus all the voices would be higher. :s

  • Movies are shot at 24fps. NTSC is 30fps. For NTSC, they stretch those 24 frames into 30 frames and it plays back at perfect speed.

PAL is 25fps, so each second of a PAL movie has the regular 24 frames plus one. This ends up speeding the film up by 4%.

  • hmm nice video

  • Why is the music in a different key? Is it sped up or something?

  • es verdad esta mas aguda que en el disco

  • it is too high pitched

  • this is the actual intro... its not too high pitched.

  • and i remember this version of theme when i watched the film.

  • for episode III, that is. not the rest of em

  • la mejor saga lejos!!!aguante star wars!!lo mejor que vi en mi vida!

  • wat?

  • "The Captive Chancellor" who, as it turns out is the Sith Lord Darth Sidious!

  • Most of u saw that coming...

  • i love all star wars movies...i wish there was more...the world will never be the same

  • totally agreed

  • GOOD RESPONSE!!!

  • who cares if its copyrighted...i can download it and watch it anytime i want....stop being such a babies...

  • putain racaille

  • I do not know what is worse about this film, Lucas's direction or Christensen's acting, after all the build-up the movie nearly falls flat, Star Wars fans deserve much better.

  • Indeed they do. Who did they want as Anakin anyhow?

  • Lucas actually wanted Ryan Phillipe for the role of Anakin. He turned down the role for whatever reason.

  • Wait... this movie IS copyrighted...

So.. DONT download this one :3(

  • I know how to download it...

    vixy net

enter this U.R.L. (the address at the top bar)

(make sure its not copyrighted.. or its off to jail for you :)

  • This film should of had the Police Academy theme at the beginning scroll. Come on guys, this and TPM was full of Police Academy style gags and humour and aimed at the under 5's. Revenge of the Sith was SHIT!

  • The music sounds kind of high pitched

  • yes, it sounds different

  • yes, but sounds better!

  • this has been stretched and music pitch changed. BOOOOOO!

  • its different cos its from the pal dvd
