  • It's an RC30 that you can't store on.

  • 2:30

  • good but very expensive. A little bit less expensive, something around 120-150 U$ will be ok...but it goes out of the heritage of xx-20 or twin pedals..lost for little..

  • more pedal less pants ... dick

  • "This is a new pedal from Bwoss"

  • To properly use this pedal you Midi input a clock source that your drummer plays along to. The drummer is playing to a click from the sequencer which if he is in time the pedal will slice up the audio (your guitar) in sync with him. This review doesn't touch on that at all. This device has a midi input on the back for this purpose.

  • haha he said doodie!!!

  • I can tell hes done this before :s ..... awkward much?

  • Its like drummers dont exist.

  • @PEZEMILIO if only. i bet this pedal would be able to make it to practice better, wouldn't do drugs, wouldn't drink excessively, wouldn't whine and whine all practice, and would actually do stuff for the band. it probably has a better chance of gettin some tail too.

  • I mean... its funny... dont get me wrong, but I dont have money to just throw at you like that Roland.

  • i don't like that pedal is kinda sucks

  • What a pointless pedal :/

  • shut up and play your guitar!!!

  • ok looper plus stacato = slicer.................mmmmm il just buy a looper

  • Hey man, talk about because instead you do not play the guitar? would be better to understand the effects.

  • BOSS should get better the quality of their pedals before make new ones...

  • Boss=boawwwss. Paul sounds like he joined the mafia not long ago.

  • Does the looper function work with the slicer off? Or do you always have to play with the slicer if you want to loop?

  • Me: "So, it's a looper"

GW: No! It's better! You can make grooves! Except, you...you can't save your loops...or layer anything!"

Me: "Okay, so it's a BROKEN looper"

  • seriously BOSS what is the point of this if it doesnt actually store anything as the guy admits...? no loop storage, no user presets, and according to the manual it seems the loop(which cant be overdubbed like almost all loopers)is deleted as soon as you stop it playing;can anyone confirm this? with the abundance of card storage options these things should be standard; especially given the gimmicky,space-wasting LED. also when doing a demo for the public show the units pushed to their limits.

  • stupid pedal

  • 4:21 the attack and the decay of the note hmmm

  • @TheTangentUK

He was just showing us how the slicer works on his voice

  • This guy is ok but his speaking skills suck, he keeps pausing and not interaction with his audience very well

  • I have that pedal is a nice pedal i used for my guitar for practice

  • Guitar World, seriously, do yourselves a favor and follow my advice:

    Step one, fire this tool

Step two, call Andy from pgs dot com

Step three, think of the highest number you possibly can, write it on a check, and make him an offer.

Backup plan, if Andy turns you down, repeat steps two and three for Jack Bl- I mean, gearmandude.

Follow my simple instructions and maybe I'll start buying your magazine again.

  • @amcint01 ;L made me lol

  • When dubstep meets guitar

  • I was intruiged by this pedal but it seems like it's a great idea that hasn't quite been followed through properly, a bit half-baked

  • hahaha 666 videos

  • does anybody ever watch these videos just to see paul jam?

  • i guess i could just use a loop and delay pedal and get the same effect....

  • i think this guy is really gay like he likes men he sounds like it

  • @rocknrollradioz come on bro, lighten up, hes a legit guitarist

  • @runr576 im seriously saying i think hes gay

  • @runr576 like im not dissing him, I think hes really gay and thats cool thats his own thing

  • So this is where Djent was born.....

  • ...so, it's a looper...but, wait...wtf is it?

  • Pretty boring effect. Well explained. I just figure out why I would ever want it.

  • lol such a useless pedal IMO

  • what the hell are you looking at. he cant make eye contact with a camera

  • @dzlvs8 teleprompter

  • Sounds like the Musicians Friend hold-music. I have to agree with the person who said that classic rock riffs + slicer = fail. Also, it shouldn't take until 2:30 to hear the actual pedal. Play first, talk later needs to be your format, fellas.

  • did all of you haters out there ever consider that some of the people who do things the best in the world, are a little different than most people......and sometimes they act a little different than the most people, because they are different and that may be related to the fact that they have great skills or talents........just sayin'

  • @rhykko77 I'm with you, rhykko!

  • why does he move his head so much when he talks??

  • To much blow!

  • 2 much blow

  • Classic rock played with the slicer............. Fail

  • personally i think 2:58 is amazing

  • I don't see the need for presets. Presets are a bit unneccessary when most people may not even ever use them. Making your own sound is more fun, imo. If there weren't present on this things, they may have had room for a save loop function. Shame there isn't one. That and the need for presets are the only things wrong with this . Boss came so close to, for once, to making something that's actually half decent, lol!

  • Could you do map of the problematic by muse with that pedal ??????????

  • "groove"

  • 1:55 by tapping into it here...

    lol

  • So, is this the boss goatkeeper? No.

  • i feel like Mew should rely heavily on this pedal..

  • yap yap yap yap... does it come with a manual?

    if no, continue talking

if yes, STFU AND PLAY GUITAR!!!!

  • AMAZING !

  • nice crotch shot

  • It's good to see Michael J. Fox is doing better!

  • "....but your kids are gonna love it"

  • @WhoDaBigGuy too soon bro. lol

  • nice guitar :)

  • awesome pedal saw one at guitar center for like 170

  • cool pedal - would have loved to hear more of it...

  • Paul R --- a little constructive crit. --- Just get to the sounds, man! We don't ck these vids out to hear someone talk abt a pedal...we come to hear it!

  • this basically sounds like a delay/tremolo+looper... um, line6 did this like 10 years ago

  • Wish this thing had an arppegiator

  • i highly doubt this is what this pedal is used for. my friend uses it for intros or really mellow songs that require much depth and atmosphere. this distoted metal/hard rock stuff just sounds really lame.

  • Andy> Paul

    Just sayin'

    Proguitarshop ftw

  • definitely.

  • Agreed

  • hell yes

  • @Goestothemayor no in comparrison andy crap paul is god compared

  • @Goestothemayor

I second that. If Andy got hold of this well, there woudn't be enough epic in the world to describe whatever he'd come up with! XD

  • @Goestothemayor fuck the what

  • This would be great for any guitarist who plays electronic or industrial music.

  • He's the Michael J. Fox of the guitar world. I actually like his demos, but I can't NOT think of Back to the Future every time I see him.

  • Actually, he reminds me very strong to Billy Joe Armstrong...

  • hey this is paul from guitar world and what i have here today is

  • that dude bothers me for some reason

  • same lol

  • This sounds way cooler on paper then the noise it actually makes. It mixes a looped signal, with techno beats.I thought the result would be way cooler. Even if you like techno it seems quite limiting without user created beats, and without being able to store anything i can never see myself using it live. It's not for me but if you like it, then power to ya.

  • Can it be easily used as a regular delar or echo?

  • I have a good feeling that NIN does use this pedal.

  • If you're even remotely interested in this pedal, do not base your purchase on this video. It's not meant to be a looper. The looper function is almost an afterthought. This this is meant to be a very advanced tremolo/filter/auto arpeggio type of deal. Very electronica, digital techno sounding, but even more versatile than that. Check out all the other videos. The Boss Soundcheck video is the best IMO. The ability to sync tempo via midi sold me on this one.

  • I so want to get this twin. Tone is important, but when your experimentation is this big, people won't really take note of the tone. And it's not like it totally destroys the tone.

  • okay interesting.a little

  • sounds like a looper that destroys everything good about guitar tone

  • what is its basic purpose. and what is it basically

  • make you soun cool

  • why would anyone want this piece of shit when it rapes your tone

  • i want this guys job. Plays a bunch of cool shit and gear and gets payed OMG

  • Sounds like a mixture the "step" setting on the boss PH-3, a wah wah, and a Z.vex tremorama.

  • wow this guy can make every single thing he reviews seem great but im not gonna even consider getting this

  • its for funk, right?

  • they made an SNES pedal!

  • Hahaha I thought the same xD

  • ha he said doodie

    1:37

  • hahahah xD

  • @masterboi31

    He also said Knob

  • @masterboi31 funny doodie

  • ●▬▬▬▬▬๑۩۩๑▬▬▬▬▬▬●

Pretty Cool, seems kind of necessary though

  • 2:30 to actually hear the thing....

  • wonder why he plays so many epi's when he's got an r9

  • awesome!

im gettin me one of those !!

  • Amazing pedal, man! nice to meet that!

  • sounds awesome, I want one!

  • that sounds like a kickass pedal denately guna throuw it on my wish list

  • It is like Les Pauls (not the guitar but the guy who designed it) "Black Box".

  • to be honest, sounds like you could get bord of it very easy

  • Yeah...

  • quite expensive for something that is a delay and drums. get a synth wah with an a mxr carbon copy much more sounds and weird noises and both are more useful in a real life situation unlike this IMO.

    but i agree with you.

  • it's not drums and does not have delay. im not sure where the daly in the video is coming from but it's not coming from the pedal.

this pedal sounds exactly like a strong tremolo with its simpler settings. he has his direct level up so it seems less like a tremolo and so its effect seems minimal. it sounds less like a tremolo when you get into other banks and patterns. the harmonic banks are really cool. if you use this witha digitech wammy, it sounds amazing.

  • pretty neat but if it could record that would be really cool.

  • Millions of Combo's; not quite. It's a great pedal for loops but don't go out there thinking its some super customizable effect.

  • i probably wouldnt make it my only pedal to buy for a a few months but i would probably buy it if i had the money to throw around, lol looks fun to play with

  • not my type of an effect, yet aswome review!

i liked that he used the epiphone les paul, i think of buying this guitar and reviews such as this do me very good :]

  • make sure its korean.. i bought an epiphone les paul standard 2 years back and i havent had any problems with it. its a really great guitar.

  • this is sooooooooooooo ****in great man

  • This is a cool concept, I think the ability to store patterns as that other poster said should be there though.

  • Wow, guess buckethead just bought him self yet another toy that'll play guitar for him.

  • Lol. Buckethead don't need pedals to sound like 20 billion people.

  • You, my friend, are absolutely retarded.

So what if he uses a few pedals to make really good music? Who doesn't? We all use pedals every now and then. He still makes beautiful music, and his music will remain beautiful.

  • how many dicks do u suck a day?

  • Less then buckethead does, why?

  • just curious cause that comment just explained how gay ur words are! say anything else and i am convinced u take it up the ass.

  • I do take it up the ass, you californian hunk there.

  • oh my god it would be so fucking funny if someone fucked up with the settings of this pedal on stage... XDXDXD

  • lol 1:37 he said doodie

  • lol he did xD

  • stop talking........

  • It is very different compared to other pedals out there. its a nice idea to see somthing very very different if you wanna get creative but i can see why people would say they dont like it

  • Hasn't this pedal been out for a long time?

  • i dont like this one.

  • That would suck, If it stored patterns i'd be ok with this but since it doesn't this would just be fiddly on stage

  • i don't like his hat, so i dont think ill buy this pedal

  • i don't really get the point of this pedal...

  • If I ever got this I would never be able to get it to do what I want.

  • that's the same with the previous model... it's nice as a microway oven...
