  • not bad...

  • This video is a sham.

Plus Alexis looks and moves like the creature at the end of (REC).

    Uhn hunh

  • HES HUGE. GO RAPTORSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

  • Let's hope that he can bring some defence to the Raptors..

  • looks 90 lbs soaking wet at best

  • 7'2? no way. he looks more like 7'0 or 7'1

  • i don't think he's a center. His height and length characterize him as a center, but his playing style incorporates so much slashing. Also, he's really skinny....

  • I am FREAKING impressed by the kid. At 7'2 he moves like a forward. I looked at other videos and he moves and run the court well. I guarantee the kid will be a starter.

  • i like him; he reminds me of shaq when he was young; was this skinny and moved like this kid; but then when shaq got older and gained weight; he still had the wingspan.

  • good sentence about a man from a great nation of basketballplayer. forget basketball speak about rugby .

  • Haha that's so lame, it's not where you're from it's where you're at,not to mention dumb shit you must come from France because that's some really really dumb shit right there.Look Ajinca is crap alright.Fucking piece of shit.Oh and France is a piece of crap nation of rugby players hahaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • hey man , alexis is a rookie let him try before judge him .Oh France is a crap of rugby nation but rugby is the only sport you are good at ;)

  • Man i don't give a damn Ajinca sux

  • shut the fuck up SFO14 americans jalous

I HAVE I QUESTION YOU CAN DO THISlike him ????

  • Wow, he's playing against some pretty good competition here. Someone sure did a good job of hyping up this kid. I'm not saying he doesn't have skills, but there are a million players that can do the same things he's doing against these opponents.

  • man i cant wait to c him play. i think hes gonna be better in the nba than some ppl think. i just wish the celtics got him since i am from boston. it would have been lovely to c what him and kg could do together.

  • I bet he couldnt bench pressed 185 at the draft combine if he would have went

  • nice pick. Too bad they decided they need to replace Felton instead of adding another big. They could have had a shot at the playoffs, but I think the Augustin pick was a mistake. Not because Augustin won't be good, he will, but because they've only got 2 big guys that they know will be healthy and can contribute next season. Felton is an above avg starting PG, no reason to take DJ at 9 when your post is in such bad shape. The other teams in the east got better last night, the Bobcats didn't.

  • DJ Augustin was a steal at 9.

Unlike Rose he has a jumpshot. And he's a far better passer than Mayo and Bayless.

He's the complete package at the PG position.

Most productive PG in the nation last year and he has the tools to make that translate at the next level.

  • He's also 5'10 on a good day. He's a career backup, but I guess that's a steal at 9

  • If he was the most productive pg , why did Rose destroy him in the NCAA tournament? He had like 4 points that game while Rose had 20 plus. It wasn't b/c he was getting his teammates involved either, they all got shut down. He's nowhere near Rose.

  • hes good but not as good as rose... mayo is a SG so of course he's better at passing... and bayless is a different kind of point he is more aggressive and a good shooter hes more of a pg to penetrate and dunk... like a baron davis... i c him as i kidd not comparing but thats who hes like... good shooter n passer

  • je te connai pas, mai je sai que t un fransais et jespere que taura du temp de jeu en nba .Prouve en nba que nous les fransais nous sommes la au basket!et aussi bonne chance paske la nba c pa la pro a.

  • This cat is gonna be good. Definetly PF beside Okafor. I love it.

  • nice pick mj and larry, da kid has range and has moves off the dribble and can block shots he does need to add some muscle though, and from what they are saying we are just gonna buy out his contract over ther and bring him down here to carolina so he can get some southern cookin and put some meat on them skinny bones not to much though

  • Exactly. Get him eating some Bojangles and kid will put on some size in no time.

  • I'm sure these negative hits on this are from people outside of NC who don't know the glory that is Bojangles. Just don't let him follow the Sean May diet and he'll be fine.

  • bojangles could def beef this kid up lol

  • Ajinça has not been playing much because many of the french coaches have Larry Brown's mentality: don't count on a young guy, he may get cocky if he gets playing time too early, dont' burn him, he has time bla bla bla...

it's that simple. When he played some good time he performed good, don't worry for him in the nba

  • The 5pts/5rbs a game was in like 10 minutes a game, which hopefully amounts to more respectable numbers with more playing time.

Although I will admit that I'm a little concerned that he was only getting played that little... hopefully they just had someone more experienced/older in the rotation ahead of him.

  • If he was good enough, he would have been playing more. Age has nothing to do with it, hell they start playing pro ball over there at 15. I just don't think you should waste a pick on a guy who's not even going to be there next year. This guy is soft, and if he wasn't good enough to play in France, he' s not going to be good enough here. The Bobcats are idiots for judging off 2 on 2 workouts. Basketball is a 5 on 5 game. But the trend of busts continues: Adam Morrison, Sean May, Alexis Ajinca.

  • You're the idiot.

They didn't play him because they were trying to get more years out of him overseas. When they actually gave him PT he performed.

5/3/1 on 10 minutes is amazing efficiency. Anyone who knows anything about basketball would know that.

This was a rare good draft by the Bobcats.

Morrison and May should show you it's not about production. Those two didn't have the length and/or athleticism to make it.

AJinca has length, athleticism, and amazing skill for a 7+ footer.

  • Good point I guess averaging 5 points in 10 minutes in France means you'll average 20 points in 40 minutes in the NBA . Good math, idiot. Where will this guy be next year, in France. If this was a good draft to you then you're obviously naive, but you'll see next year when the Bobcats don't make the playoffs again in a depleted Eastern Conference. But I guess next year your excuse can be " just wait till Ajinca comes ". Btw, Milicic had length, athleticism, and skill too. So did Frederic Weis

  • do they have a 7'8 wingspan and the ability to shoot a 3? it was a good pick. if bobcats play him right he could be unstoppable.

  • sorry man alexis will never become anything in the nba. Thats just the way it's gonna be. The bobcats already have a mirror image of alexis in a player named ryan hollins who is a total waste of minutes averaging 2 points and one rebound. This was a stupid pick.

  • You obviously dont watch Charlotte play. Hollins is very athletic, but has no post moves, and no shot outside of 3 feet. Ajinca is fairly athletic as well, has a nice shot, and great post moves. His only problem is that he needs to gain about 40 pounds. He wont do anything this year, but next year he should be about 25 pounds heavier, and with Larry Brown tutoring him he will be fine.

  • Dude i don't even care anymore. I've watched the bobcats my entire life and watching them this preseason ive lost all hope. the front office has made so many stupid draft picks. even this last draft. picking KYLE WEAVER over CHRIS DOUGLAS ROBERTS!!! what is up with that. who the heck as even heard of kyle weaver!?

  • i thought the bobcats became an established nba team in 2004...what are u 6 years old? or do you mean the Charlotte hornets.

  • yes i ame sixth yeers olde. no i really meant that i have watched them ever since they came into the league. lol

  • I guess the guys who said he was gonna suck were right

  • He's 7ft. with a 7 ft. 8 inch wingspan , and he couldn't manage more than 5 rebounds a game in a second-tier league! That means one of two things, he's soft or he doesn't play hard. Derrick Rose averaged 5 rebounds and he's a pg! How is he going to help Okafor if he's going to be overseas for 3 years? With the Bobcats , how do you know Larry Brown's gonna be around that long. This was a dumb pick. But what should you expect from the Bobcats, they'll have another lottery pick to f*ck up in 09

  • This is why I don't believe in drafting international guys in the first round over college guys, or in the second round for that matter. They're almost always soft, and it's never guaranteed they'll come over. Every year you hear Fran Fraschilla say " this guy will be good in 3 or 4 years" Well draft him in 3 or 4 years instead of just wasting a pick! This guy's going to be a bust. They should have gone with Brook Lopez or Jerryd Bayless. This stiff is 7 ft. and averaged 5 pts and 5 rebounds

  • watch out for the French in the NBA, how many do we have now???? like 7 or 8??

Two huge prospects: Ajinca and his 7'8 (!!) armspan and Nicholas Batum. Both definetely have to gain weight. If Ajinca gets bigger and stays athletic, we could very well see him do

  • I think Larry Brown likes his fluidness and quickness. Bobcats shouldn't try to make a heavy center from him. Fluid big PF next to Okafor under basket presence. They could fit well.

  • Agreed. Leave Okafor right around the basket to be goalie and have Ajinca step in provide lots of blocking but generally linger futher out on offense. He could turn out to be really good, and apparently really destroyed most of the other bigs in workouts leading up to the draft.

Is he going against scrubs here, or actual prospects?

  • well in 2 or 3 years; right now he's not athletic emough for the NBA.

Batum is niiice!! watch out for him, could become something special provided he imposes himself in "tomorrow's team" Portland.

France is the most represented international country in the NBA and will be the greatest absent in Olympic games this year. WHAT A SHAME claude Bergeaud!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I hope he slips to the Celtics at #30

  • But the warriors won't, they're not totally interested in him

  • his wingspan is of the chain

  • Were those scrubs or NBA prospects because he owned those guys?

  • wouldn't be suprised if my raptors take him or batum at 17.good pick either way

  • Is he playing against other nba prospects in this video?

  • it was taken at the end of May

  • Where did this workout take place?

  • when was this taken?

  • Rockets could use him as a back up.

  • Yes,they could but he will be gone before then in my opinion.

  • You could be right, but it would be a great fit for the Rockets.

  • No Warriors could use him. He fits well in Nellie's system and athletic big man that can dribble and shoot from long range rare. He can even post up.
