to be honest i started watching degrassi from season 6 til half way around season 10 n thought it was really good..but then i decided to start from the very beginning and man i was a complete idiot for thinking the current seasons were good. the originals were WAAYYY better!!! when jt died i really think they should have ended the show. the only newer characters i wish were part of the originals were darcy and mia..and even they got a brain and decided to leave the series.

I don't understand why this show keeps going and is so popular, I got to see Seasons 2 to 4 and it definately lacks character development, at least they shouldn't bill characters in the opening or give so many storylines to so many characters, it's almost like each episode is based alone and you don't need to see what happened in the previous one, just the one that features the character (that you like), because it even takes like 5 episodes to make the character the center again.

Yeah, I recently started watchng from Season 4 and on and I got hooked, I do understand the success of the show and what is the formula that makes the show keep going, and yes, I recently started Season 10 and episodes are tied.

However, I do stand with what I said as far as character development for some, for example, in Season 9 characters like Blue, Johnny and his sidekick friend were billed as main cast and they added little to nothing to the overall storylines.

Bad Writing, Storylines, Miniscule Budget, etc and then it got cancelled. However, Degrassi is in my opinion, the best TV Series about kids in School.
