Holy shit. It's hard to really appreciate the power of dio's voice until you listen to the accapella. I noticed the same thing with Michael Jackson... look up one of his vocal tracks and WOW.... it paints a whole different picture.

I just listened to this again. The brilliance that is Dio shines through when he's isolated. With just his voice he accomplishes what lesser singers - and they're ALL lesser - try to replicate.  Power. Harmony. Talent. Ronnie James Dio was the greatest rock singer of all time. No one else ever, ever comes close. I miss him badly. How lucky I am to own all his albums, to have seen him live dozens of times and to have met him. Ronnie James Dio is the best.
