democracy doesn't inherently equate freedom, it is government by the consent of the governed. In a democratic (not republican) society, the entire citizenry could vote to have their entire population burned at the stake, and under democratic principles it would be legitimate. Contrastingly, you could have a dictatorship that could provide for a better society than a pure democracy, things aren't as simple as people as people wish, there is no magic pill.

there is no such thing as real communism it cannot be done on a national scale, because the people at the top are always going to be in control, sure there is the occasional revolution but that just changes who gets to make the decisions, and communism is the worst because at least in capitalist society the rare genius gets his way up the ladder while in communist society once you're poor then you are always poor.
