Why use two. Most people try to reduce weight as much as possible, but not you. Did you try lifting the seat and placing an extra battery in there? Super! When people change their exhaust from the stock that came with the bike, do they need to also remap the motor in order to optimize the fuel/air mixture, or is when the dealership tells people that they need to remap, the dealership is just trying to make more money. Also, with so many different pipes to choose from on the market, does it really make a difference in hp/torque which pipes to go with? Finally, 1 pipe vs. 2, does that matter in terms of hp/torque or just the sound. thx!

no you are wrong,most if not all moto gp bikes use twin or full lenght exhaust sysytem either under the seat and one to the side or just under the seat which are full lenght and not stubby exhausts,to make the engine breath which in turn helps them burn fuel better which helps get better bhp and torque figure..fact....

What the hell are you talking about? Less back pressure equals more flow, basically more cfm, which lessens header temperature, which in turn lets the engine run a few degrees cooler. Also, with a freer flowing exhaust you have less chance of burning a valve..

You're the one who needs to do research, they're designed to give some back pressure, to create almost a suction type pull for the exhaust. A full length exhaust however, restricts flow too much,causing power loss. Also, I never said NO back pressure, to have truly no back pressure you couldn't even have headers, and you'd need negative atomospheric pressure..

No i said straight through exhaust systems like the one fitted to the bike will lose power as they are a straight through shorty system that has no back pressure, any dyno result will prove that a sysytem like the one fitted to the bike will infact lose bhp compared to a more conventional exhaust say like a yoshi or akrapovic system, i also said some back pressure.......cheers

i run a modified racefit mega system on my k7 1000 and compared to a freinds bike which has the same mods as mine except he use's a akrapovic he has 2 bhp more than me at the rear wheel, as it's a longer system and lets the engine fuel and breath better...

You need to learn what the hell point you're trying to make, less back pressure or more? Even though, less back pressure gives you slightly more power. A longer exhaust system doesn't "help" the fuel burn, the only thing that actually can do that, is the headers which are hot enough to ignite unburnt fuel.
