  • I read somewhere that these guys were trippin during this! haha!

  • A wookie with a moog!

  • BRING BACK THE KEYTAR!!!

  • NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • @simmy3000

You obviously know nothing about electronic music so don't waste your time posting idiotic troll comments.

You apparently can't even create your own youtube page 'simmy' let alone create something original for all time like FUTURISK! Futurisk was one of the most ORIGINAL bands to ever come out, do your homework idiot

  • @simmy3000

more like the dog's giant bollocks in your face

which makes you the the cat's arse simmy

  • everytime i listen to this song, i like it increasingly more

  • IT IS OOOOK

  • awesome, "my cup of tea"

  • Love this

  • @IMaiden89 that would be the Moog Liberation

  • @PandPfreestyle it does look like a Liberation, but it is actually Moog Rogue in the attachable strap-on encasement that was available before the Liberation, that's why it looks oversized on the underside. it was a real heavy bitch.

  • @ksine if you look at the closeup around 2:20 and after you can see it is a liberation, thought is was a rogue too at first then compared images of the two against each other.

  • interesting stuff, what moog is he using?

  • camera guy is an asshole :-)

  • wouldve liked to see em play the ambassador, that would've been quite memorable!

  • btw.. FUTURISK 's Player Piano LP 30th Anniversary release is OUT NOW on Minimal Wave!!

  • excelente banda excelente

  • I like this track, there's something really dark about it that inspires me to produce more music, If only there were more people who enjoyed synthpop/minimal wave, I love synthpop and minimal wave and people think I'm strange but who cares :D

  • @karmamothra Nazi

  • @karmamothra except Tomata du Plenty probably would have loved this shit to death, and hated you for your shitty comment.

  • This is a great song. I love how it begins

  • I want that portable moog thingy

  • @clumpft those things actually wiegh a ton Edgar winter has back problems because of that thing.

  • just look at these guys! amazing!

  • to tragoudi apla ta spaei.awesome song and band.

  • holy shit, i've been listening to electronic music for almost 20 years now and i've never heard of this band until now, awesome!

  • you're lucky... dont get me wrong, i love futurisk and all, but its almost a love/hate relationship. i was born in 82 and my parents were both really into synthpunk, playing it constantly during my early development. i still love them to death but me and my therapist think the constant invasive exposure to this abrasive, confusing music they gave me a very strange sense of reality.

  • Hysterical

Listen to two Barry Manilow LPs and call me in the morning.

  • you're lucky... don't get me wrong.

your strange sense of reality is much better than the bizare one most parents give their children by tv and popular music...

  • AHAHAH strange according to what really, because isn't it all really? abrasive? wah Wah WAH

    hilarious, thanx for sharing!

  • @ladronguapo I've been listening to electro music for almost like 32 years and I think there are hundreds of little electronic bands like this that most of us probably never ever heard of before.I used to have some weird indie electronic singles and cassettes myself.(I remember one of them was called Future Toys.God what a name for a band).Never too late to discover some of them still I think.

  • epitelousss!!!

i am so glad to see this video!!

    thanks for posting!

  • you tube brings me wonders...

  • *_*

  • Futurisk rules my world! This one sounds eyebrow-raisingly similar to Black Kar by the Spits.

  • Un grand merci pour nous offrir des moments de pur plaisir Merci à toi

  • this is rad! i had never heard of them! there was a synth punk band in my town (grand rapids, mi) called ZYKLON! check em out!

  • Holy Shit that was good!

    They were a Miami band?

  • Deerfield Beach band :)

  • The perfect cold war sound. It would actually be a good alternative soundtrack to Terminator.

  • hee hee hee!

  • awesome shit!!!!!!!!!!

  • wow. punk wasn't very popular in florida back then. these guys were pioneers.

  • and electronic music was practically non-existant in the southern US at the time, except for Futurisk!

  • The Happiness Boys were in your own 'neighborhood, J. Oh, wait, you mean new wave style. Gotcha.

  • yes i should be more clear ;) and Richard Bone was around, but he was mostly a New Yorker . there was a couple of Pink Floyd type bands using synths.

  • ;) !

  • WOW!sweet, nsaty oi beat with moog.what a sound, whole band is damn good.thanks for posting "we love you minimal wave"

  • We love you Minimalwave!

  • yes we do,futurisk is damn good music.

  • LOVE IT!!

  • NEW WAVE

  • His dance style is like Elvis Costello on a little bit of meth. Love the energy.

  • Lol good observation

  • synthpunk is cool...

  • This is absolutely brilliant. I wish I could hear more.

  • Good grief! I sold my Futurisk vinyl awhile back, now I can hear it AND see them, pinch me, boys, is it 1980 again?

  • The drummer's stage name was Jack Kerowac. He was a scary dude. Still he looks French with the bloody beret.

  • hey is this THE Franzko Blankensteen? for that matter wtftwhere IS Jack Howard for real?! we told him don't smile or look at the camera haha , but he loved kieth moon as you can tell, i think he even had the same drum set maybe..he invented a drum hybrid style for futurisk

  • Yes it's me. A friend of mine saw this band concert and he said the guitarist used a jukebox amp. He used a guitar synth on a few songs and got a wonderful seshaaw sound. The singer at times could croon like Joe Williams. Wonderful band but the drummer scares me.

  • riiight..it was actually a Santos Fiske tube amp from bavaria...he got it for peanuts. literally.

  • Yes that sounds right. You mentioned that Howard played like Keith Moon. I thought he sounded a bit like Barrington Womble aka Barry Wom. If I remember incorrectly there was a fifth member of Futurisk named Leppo. "Leppo crawled inside a trunk with a small German fräulein and was never heard from again. Luckily, he couldn't play anyway." I may be confusing Leppo with another group. Futurisk sound holds up well and they were one of the most influential electro skiffle groups around.

  • >may be confusing Leppo with another group.>

yes.. that was the group Televison Dusseldorf.

but i thought Leppo was the leprosy dude who COULD play but died before the 1st ep.. :(

  • I think Leppo was hoping to join that Bavarian accordian duo of Rolf and Flouride. He actually was hoping to join Rammstein in 1980 and went over the Berlin Wall as they were in East Germany. Sadly, Rammstein would not be formed until 1994 and Leppo was never heard from again. Tragic. :-(

  • wooow, excelent......

hey , do you know an american synth band called "experimental products".....can you tell something about them....they were similar like this band......

  • experimental products were from philadelphia... don't think they have any videos

  • w00ties! JK is a bad ass!

  • iiiiiiiii love you.

  • VERY nice.

  • nice (-_-)
