  • fuck you to da 6 pussy's who hit dislike on dis real shit must be da kkk or something...

  • Glad to hear that Nas knows about the minister. Those who don't know like Farrakhan are either demons or ignorant to his truths, either way. He's unstoppable and is a divine messenger and leader, the media will always try to demonize someone who speaks truth to power, for those of you ignorant of Farrakhan I suggest you type in 'Farrakhan' and listen to this great man speak. All it took was one speech for me and I was hooked on this mans truth and knowledge. May God bless him & Nas.

  • Yoooo just droping by to show love and to let you know a bit about the LETHAL MCZ. We're an up and coming hip hop movement from Miami. We just droped a new remix to Nas's HERO. Open your ears for our 2 cents and let us know what you think. Subscribe and comment for feed back. Much Love and God Bless

  • But seriously though Louis Farrakhan is a fucking dirtbag

  • @GSW12345

How so? He has helped-despite how the media portrays him- an innumerable amount of African-American Nation of Islam followers. If you watch any of his sermons or interviews, he speaks substantively, eloquently, and passionately about the topic at hand. The media does a great job of vilifying those (e.g. Minister Farrakhan) who do not accept the mainstream views. NaS and a plethora of rappers and artists respect him and this song is a tribute. FYI, I'm not African-American or NOI.

  • @haroonkhaleel The media does not vilify him nearly enough in my opinion. Where I'm from at least the media says virtually nothing about him at all, as if we have to accept that the leaders of the African American community will be as bigoted and hateful as their oppressors, the white supremacists. This is perverse to the very core of the Civil rights movement and Martin Luther King Jr himself.

  • @GSW12345

I understand where you're coming from. We also have to acknowledge the dichotomy of The Civil Rights Movement. Without Malcolm X, who was as controversial a figure as Minister Farrakhan, Dr. King, Jr. wouldn't be as appealing to the masses. I think Dr. King, Jr. was more acceptable to the white people of the era because of his non-violent (ahimsa) approach rather than the militant ideology of Malcolm. Farrakhan can be aggressive but this is a reaction to 400 years of chattel slavery.

  • @haroonkhaleel First of all I dont accept the argument that the black movement if you will, can get justification from slavery. Of course is was justified by the conditions of the blacks as a RESULT of slavery. Secondly there is no evidence that militancy works any better than non-violent resistance (in a democratic society.) In fact there is a lot of evidence to the contrary.

  • @haroonkhaleel

This is a continuation of my other reply to your comment.

How much have conditions improved since the death of King? Meanwhile the populist Farrakhan wins the minds of the youth in obviously damaging ways. Read Freethinkersclubuk first post, not the reply to my post but the other one and you should see what I mean.

  • @GSW12345 Watch how you talk about the minister you idiot. What have you done for your nation lately? Have you put your life on the line to educate your people?! Have you done anything in the black community? Got 2 million black people to march without 1 arrest? Taught your people about knowledge of self? If anything should happen to this man, wave goodby to America. I really can't understand how you can have such a great man in your midst and rebuke him. You truly are a fool.

  • @Freethinkersclubuk The threat at the beginning of your reply was unnecessary and really undermines your arguments, just fyi.

The best thing that can be said of the man is that he is a populist. That is the best, not good, in fact pretty damaging but the best nonetheless. He appeals to the masses of unsatisfied blacks when he calls the white people "the devil," when he spreads his intolerant homophobia, and when he spreads his revolting Antisemitism.

  • @GSW12345 What threat you fool? Is calling someone an idiot a threat? How can Farrakhan be anti-semitc when he talks about the Ashkenazi Jew? A European Jew that only converted to Jusaism a few hundred years ago? How can he be anti-semetic when the Ashkenazi Jew is not even semetic, semetic means from Africa or Northern Asia. One thing I can agree with, I do not believe the statement that says, 'The white man is the devil' is entirely accurate, he was taught that, but I don't believe it's.....

  • Cont...That simple. All human beings have the capacity to sin, and it is true that if we made you, then part of you is us, therefor, I believe there is a fundamental capacity in each man to sin, I believe the caucasian arrogates toward things of a carnal nature more easily, but the definition that all are devils is wrong, in my opinion, there was sin before the white man came on the earth. Notwithstanding the afore-mentioned comment, I still hold steadfast to the many truths Farrakhan speaks.

  • @Freethinkersclubuk Well I guess it wasnt really a threat per se but I was talking about when you said "Watch how you talk about the minister..."

You seem to have argued on semantics over Farrakhan's bigoted beliefs towards Jews. I was using the term antisemitism the way social Darwinists used words like Jews, Jewry and Semites interchangeably to describe the Jewish people in the 19th and 20th centuries and has as such entered into the colloquial language....

  • @Freethinkersclubuk Continued... Regardless you didnt seem to dispute that Farrakhan is bigoted towards Jews and that's all that I really wanted to impart. Secondly I thinks its a very dangerous idea that any race or ethnicity is more apt to do bad than any other, and one that has lead to uncountable bloodshed and misery to every race at one time or another in history. Futhermore there is absolutely no evidence to support this claim whatsoever.

  • @GSW12345 No evidence to support this claim? Since the caucasian has been on this earth approximately 6000 years, they have killed more than the number of their own race. They are the only nation to have dropped a nuclear bomb, America sells more arms than any other nation, Caucasians have attacked more sovereign nations than any other, colonialisation is just another word for robbing the wealth of the indigenous, they have bases all around the world, for what? WAR! That is the legacy of whites.

  • @GSW12345 I notice you made no comment about the Ashkenazi Jew, european Jew, who just converted to Judaism recently, and his origin not being semetic. I have nothing against Jews, the real ones, but Jesus himself said, i know of those that call themselves Jews but are not, for they are of their father, the synagoue of satan. Notice the term, 'Synagogue', a place where Jews meet, I suppose you'll call Jesus anti-semetic now. Farrakhan speaks truth, you just find it hard to deal with.

  • @Freethinkersclubuk If you've studied history, particularly European history, you would understand how and why "Caucasians" (Western Europe and North America) came to dominate the globe and how it can easily be explained without inferring that whites are more prone to evil than any other race. Economic, political and Scientific innovations gave Western Europe the ABILITY to wage more successful war, but war is in Human Nature (which is the real issue),

  • @Freethinkersclubuk every ethnicity that exists today is or was at a time warlike, if not they would not be here. Furthermore, saying that that evidence proves that Whites are more evil than other races is like saying (as I know some do) that this evidence proves that whites are smarter than any other race.. Both statements are racist and can only lead to discrimination.

  • @Freethinkersclubuk Again, anti-semite refers to ANY Jew in today's context, the root of the word is irrelevant. But to make it perfectly clear, yes I do think Ashkenazi Jew are people too and entitled to their beliefs, and their civil rights and I am %100 against the discrimination of these people. Are you? Do you not see the hypocrisy in crying about the treatment of Africans at the hands of the whites over the course of history and then dismissing treatment of the Jews, "real" or not?

  • Dis is the realist shit right here im so proud of nas pep da message. no revolutionary gets old, live for something or die for nothing

  • Nas is speakin on how do illumnati will eventually come to kill him like they have done countless number of times

  • they did not have the power to stop Louis Faracon

  • If u gonna hate on Nas do it somewhere else jus let the rest of us enjoy the music

  • Since Sony is Jap owned rebelling against Jewish executives is null and void.

  • @harrypotler

Farrakhan does not support the system actually he has no faith whatsoever that the system will work as it currently is. He said himself he likes Obama because he represents a fresh outlook however he feels Obama cannot change anything which has proven to be true.

The Islam that Farrakhan represents is not the same Islam or true Islam that embraces all of mankind regardless of race.

  • Everyone in America indirectly works for the Jews in that our tax dollars fund Israel.

Secondly Louis Farrakhan does not represent Islam with his racist views.

The significance in the song is that Farrakhan whether you agree with him or not is one of the few Black leaders to talk against the system and still live...NOT BE TOUCHED!

  • @zhustle Farrakhan does not represent Islam??? Well I just looked up Farrakhan and I will read you the very first sentence on wikipedia..

Louis Farrakhan (born Louis Eugene Walcott; May 11, 1933) is the National Representative of the Nation of Islam

The only reason Farrakhan hasn't been touched is because he clearly works with the system and supports degenerates like Barry Soetoro (Obama)

  • Everyone in America indirectly works for the Jews in that our tax dollars fund Israel.

Secondly Louis Farrakhan does not represent Islam with his racist views.

  • @zhustle Nation Of Islam's islam isn't necessarily religion but a way of life.

  • @MrBoJangles Islam IS a religion. Words like 'necessarily' shows that what you're saying is NOT a PROVEN FACT. Nuwaubu IS a way of life. It teaches you that your GOD is within. It teaches you how to be DIVINE and NOT to hold some other HUMAN BEING up on a pedestal.....WE ALL BELONG THERE!!!

  • @shankia1980 GREATLY SAID BRO, WE ARE GOD AND DID NOT COME ALL THE WAY THROUGH THE COSMOS ON OUR OWN COGNOTION TO WORSHIP ANYONE OR ANYTHING. FOR SUCH ACTION AUTOMATICALLY GIVES YOUR POWER OVER TO ANOTHER ENTITY THAT FEEDS OFF YOUR ENERGY WHEN DOING SO. SO AS DAVID ICKE SAYS IT BEST"GET OFF YOUR FUCKIN KNEES"

  • @shankia1980 firsty lol nuwabu wtf is that and secondly there are nearly 2 billion muslims in the world before they are human beings they call themselves muslim before they are black or white they will tell you that they are muslim islam is a way of life there are certain rules to follow and live by meaning it is a way of life your not just muslim in a mosque and then your back to normal lol throughout your life you will have to follow a certain so dont talk shit

  • @ati832 Shankia1980 is a Dwight York follower. Dude stole knowledge from others and passed it off as his own. He switched up his story a few times. He is now doing to for child molestation.

  • @shankia1980 Yeah but I'm talking about NOI's version of Islam. Pretty much the like the NGE. A way of life.

  • I dont see any significance in this song. It has a cheesy hook and Nas and Farrakhan share nothing in common aside from the fact that they are both racist Black Nationalists who would love to kill Whitey.

Farrakhan is a muslim and an anti-semite, while Nas on the other hand works for Jews (Sony and Universal Music Group) and he basically does whatever they pay him to do.

    This song is a fail.

  • @HarryPotler Your a fail

Nas isnt racist at all if this album is about going against niggers for the innocent black people

your mentally screwed up mind may come to that retarded conclusion

    but Nas is an idealist

Go listen to some stupid soulja boy shit which Nas is trying to stop cuz your not helping the cause

  • @ThumbsUpMike You're a retard for embracing Nas. If you want to hear some real hiphop from a true idealist I suggest tossing your Nas cd and picking up a KRS-one record.

  • @HarryPotler i do listen to krs one

drop a nas record for krs...no way

i wouldnt drop Illmatic for shit!!!!

  • @HarryPotler YOU CANT BE SERIOUS..KRS ONE IS A LEGEND BUT HIM OVER NAS??????? AND REAL HIP HOP????? SO NAS IS NOT??..HE HAS GIVEN US SOME OF THE ILLEST HIP HOP RECORDS OF ALL TIME...ANYONE WHO LOVES HIP HOP COULD NEVER TOSS A NAS ALBUM..YOUR THE ONE WHO SOUNDS RETARDED..LMAOO...SORRY YOU FAIL

  • @HarryPotler wow thats not true sony is owned by japanese not jews for starters. def jam is owned by universal which IS owned by jews but that has nothing to do with the music or lyrical content. if you're aware of anything about Nas then you know that he has been battling his label for years over the controversy of his music. lastly Nas doesn't claim to be an Antisemite Nas is a 5%er he holds nothing against any race or creed of people his purpose is Knowledge so i don't know where you get this

  • @deadly6havoc The words knowledge and Nas shouldn't be used in the same sentence. When Nas isn't busy making violent hate songs such as "Got yourself a gun" and "Ether" he's busy bashing Whites.

His "battle" with his Jewish record labels is merely a publicity stunt used every time he's due for a new album

And yes, Sony is owned by Japs but the US subsidiary is run by Michael Schulhof, a Jew. Alan J. Levine, another Jew, heads the Sony Pictures division

  • @HarryPotler wow you truly are ignorant. where did you get that first statement sounds like Bill O'reilly to me. Ether is a diss track meant to be disrespectful to jay z it's a test of lyrical ability and Got yourself is simply Nas ascerting his dominance of the rap game by storm. it's a metaphor clearly you're the one lacking depth. also nas might be the most philosphically quotable artist of the 21st century. this song speaks of revolution and enlightening the masses regardless of consequence

  • @HarryPotler the perfect example siting right in front of you and it's simply one of many if you know anything about Nas then you know this. Also Nas doesn't make racist remarks in his music. in testify he does but that's if you take the music out of content he specifies his hatred and distastes to racists biggots and white supremacy he is none of these things. he just essentially dislikes ignorance i mean he's a 5 percenter

  • I will forever be a fan of Nas. A true intellectual and insightful poet.

  • I dont even know where to begin about Louis Farrahkan and how wrong and also how right he is about alot of shit. However nas is the fucking king and this track is dope because he says truth. These people outside of our country who listen to rap are hearing about what we are going thru here in our raps so they are totally aware and willing to ride for us.

  • I love you NAS!

  • I hate to say this, but he's hinting towards it. If they ever kill Nas for being the truth. Never let his music die. "so i'm deadly now, because one reason, they listenin" "Alphabet boys -still- plottin against me. to -hush- me up and stuff me up in the pockets of history. You wont -remember- why they came to clip me" "They'll say he was the king of bling jewels and Bentleys then they'll use one of my lines to prove I'm gulty. Don't let him kill me." He's practically asking for it. Nas Music.

  • Happy Birthday Nas!! One of the best lyricists to ever grace the game!!

  • @Nasirtherapper I second that!!!! He is the realest out right now....

  • Nas is the king hes the only who flows about real shit. Praise be to Rakim.

  • nas is the realest the deepest and truest thats why hes the reason why hip hop is alive

  • @Ivan1781 naz is good but 2pac is the deepest lyricist the world has ever heard r.i.p

  • @A2DJ3000 i'm sorry but you're wrong... pac's lyrics almost never had any abstract or underlying he was to direct lacking the metaphorical ability to be the deepest...

  • Fuck that NAS is the most Prophetic Poet in the Game of Hip Hop!

    FUCKIN LEGEND BIOTCH!

  • here it is again: I'm gonna venture a guess and say you've never been involved with archaeology or anthropology because because your logic is entirely flawed. Regardless, prithee tell what happened with africa during the millions of years prior to european colonization? Why was this apparent first group (and biology and evolution isn't that simple, they weren't) unable to form any societal constructs or math/science/technology?

  • @BrendanIsCool what have you achieved. what about your father, grandfather? your bragging about the success of someone else because they were white. lame!! achieve something yourself, until then, no interest in what you have to say or think. leech!!

  • @BrendanIsCool First off, calm down on the pseudo-intellectual shit. It's Youtube. Second of all, Egypt. A country within the continent of Africa. Has some of the most ancient and mysterious wonders of the world. The pyramid of Giza sits in the -exact- center of the earth, edges parallel to the longest longitude and latitude lines. It was said that it was completed in 23 - 26 years. Impossible to technology today. White men had nothing to do with that. And who cares about that anyway?Love Music

  • @aintplayinAround lol @ thinking egyptians were negroes and not semitic and Mesopotamians. Another lol at thinking the pyramids are in any way comparable to the caliber of science today, clearly you know nothing of it.

  • Comment removed

  • @BrendanIsCool Real talk I look at some of the structures and building today and wonder how the hell did they do that. So as a valid observation I would say that its not impossible that those people back in the day created what they did in Egypt and other places around the world.

  • @man take yo racist ass off of black music emphasis on BLACK MUSIC

also do you know why they blew the nose off the sphinx?

  • This man nas is a musical genuis its sad how our generation pays little attention to this man, when he dies his legend will grow!! i love nas!

  • Peace to Dead Prez.. By the way, Nasir is the Best Rapper Alive. One.

  • Listen to this flow:

    1:55

  • im ignorant... who is louis farrakhan

  • @ozipk He's the leader of the N.O.I. (Nation of Islam).Real name (birth name),Louis Eugene Walcott.Born in the Bronx,NY.He's been called a bigot, anti Semite, racist and many other things.I actually like alot of what he says.Just do some research on the man and find out yourself or look @ some of his speeches on you tube.Peace !

  • @ozipk

    get the fuck outta here

    you not muslimin

  • @howboutsome no but atleast im not racist like you. idiot

  • 1. illmatic 2. it was written 3.i am... 4. stillmatic 5. hip hop is dead

  • niggers are an infection and will be erased. No more Islam soon.

  • @BrendanIsCool try it's dog

  • @BrendanIsCool You don't get huh, your kind been tryin for over a millenia to do just that nd we still here, b/c we are the Original Man, so nothing your kind can come up with will ever stop our time, Believe That, As it was in the begining so shall it be in the end, so enjoy it while it last

  • @shonha1 what?

  • @BrendanIsCool ...no moe ignorace either! You run nothing, you are flesh, and blood, like everyone else, the only difference is,you are a race affiliated with the devil, and unfortunately, the Devil has no power in the end. Yor words only put fear in the hearts of men that dont know the truth, and that statistic is dwindling as you breathe my friend,,,sorry!!

  • @wizdomborn1 haha niggers are fucking stupid.

  • @BrendanIsCool I'm not going to attack this statement with ferocious vocabulary and violence (although I can apply that) but with fact. You are probably an ignorant skinhead and I feel sorry for your greatness of ignorance. The africans were the first people on earth, no matter how the bible puts it. Without the black people you woudn't be here. How much would it take to stop you racist incestous skinheads from hating the people that created your kind and sexing your relatives. YOU IGNORANT FUCK

  • @MrBobby511 I have a medical degree and PhD in virology. You clearly know nothing regarding evolutionary biology. Literally, everything you said is completely without basis and incorrect.

  • @BrendanIsCool what are u on about ?

  • @BrendanIsCool if you "have a PhD in virology" then Im sure you did some kind of work with biology...you would know that africa was the origin of people, this is also where early homosapiens dispersed from to various parts on a once interlocked continent.. so before you go flaunting you "PHD in virology" you should really you your home work. I work with NOAA and any biologist in woods hole working at MBL will tell you the same thing.

Oh yeah.. I have a PHd as well. i hate scientist like you..

  • @zakarere not quite true but ultimately irrelevant. But if true, both Hitler and Einstein were born out of women's bodies: does that mean they are equals? The origins of anything becomes moot once deviation occurs.

  • @BrendanIsCool One more thing ( sorry, I can't stop thinking about how to acknowledge your troubled mind ) Africans were the first on this planet, and according to the other replies attacking your thoughts that you typed down for everyone to view your ignorance, I'm not the only one that thinks that. You may have an opinion, but we are coming with facts. Your failed attempt to make a lie seem like truth with more lies saying that you have a PhD, just made me feel a whole lot better about myself.

  • @MrBobby511 I'm gonna venture a guess and say you've never been involved with archaeology or anthropology because because your logic is entirely flawed. Regardless, prithee tell what happened with africa during the millions of years prior to european colonization? Why was this apparent first group (and biology and evolution isn't that simple, they weren't) unable to form any societal constructs or math/science/technology?

  • @BrendanIsCool stfu and get off this page u queer

  • @MrBobby511 That was a suitable answer that I'd expect from a coloured boy.

  • @BrendanIsCool i said get off the page u fucking piece of shit, racist dumb fuck, i swear if i just hold your white skin ull turn red , hahaha fucking idiot, wen ur cold and get frostbite ull be blue, wen ur sick ull be green, wen ur bruised ur purple, and wen ur sunburned ur red fucking idiot, calling me coloured??? look at the colours you got. GET OFF THE FUCKING PAGE

  • @BrendanIsCool go fuck ur cousin or something

  • @MrBobby511 still awaiting an answer to my question. There is none, so I'll be waiting for a loooooong time.

  • Comment removed

  • @BrendanIsCool Not true... at all there have been several genealogical studies proving that the origin of men of all races can be traced back to an african tribe known as the san bushmen... PhD my ass... how can you even say that

  • @deadly6havoc yes.. i have no idea where the guy got his Ph.D from.. idiot university..lol.. you can literally google the same information, and the literature agree's with us... so.. thanks for the clarification.

  • @BrendanIsCool Then again, you're spending your precious time having a medical degree and PhD in virology, behind the computer having a racist fight on youtube, I highly doubt that you have this PhD, and if you actually do, be honest and claim that you don't deserve it.

  • @BrendanIsCool Oh yeah, and by the way, I'm thirteen, so you're fighting with a child on youtube trying to defend yourself using really difficult vocabulary to seem smart, and hide the fact that you're the most ignorant fuck ever ( because you`re racist just in case you didn`t understand considering you`re a retard )

  • @BrendanIsCool FUCK. YOU.

  • i believe if u listen and interpret his talkin to louis farrakhan, his talking abt malcolm as the revolutionary and louis as the bad the devil!

  • This song is not just about Louis Farrakhan, it's about Nas talking about how his life as a leader and what that all entails.

  • im asian but i could relate to this shit right here... nas is the truth.

  • if you want to hear more real lyrical artist like Nas youtube search "jay jay check my vision"

  • FuCk ObAmA

  • Ur all ignorant bitches that say NaS is ass!!!... all we got nowadays nis fuckin soulja boy shit and and fucking justin bieber!!!!..........Tell me who isa more real-------Every artist that gets in the music biz cares about popularity and more hits.....Nas Has kept it real since 94!!! and still going. In all his sons he aint trying to be racist ......he trying to tell ppl how he feels..!! *FuCk*

  • you dont get it NAS rappin bout races to educate kids. he aint promoting be rascist distant relatives is about how everyone in this world is all related we all from the homeland africa. race aint shit we all fam. skin color aint shit we all fam.

  • All praise due to Allah. We Love you Farrakhan

  • nas is irrelevent talking about race all the time, it aint about anything real, its boring, it dont matter if your white or black you get good and bad in both. If nas dont see that already hes stupid. One mic that was a real song, this whole album is phony bullshit,.

  • @jon5339 You're white, obviously. Dumbass. Go listen to rock. Black people make music for black people. Like white people make movies that shit on black people. Protest them, not Nas, Bitch.

  • @keilyngodson26 nas dont know what hes goin on about himself, like u a wannaby racist who just cant find no racist... mug.

  • @keilyngodson26 ignorant mothafukka thats why one of the greatest emcees of all time is WHITE. mothafukkas cant even rap real now promoting soulja boi and like gucci with no skill so shut the fuck you rascist ass punk bitch.

  • @slimson28 Lil Wayne and eMINEM HAVE SEX.

  • @keilyngodson26 so do you and your daddy but we dont put your business out their you fukkin fagg

  • @slimson28 Your Hilarious. Ive got em in my top 100 Gay emcees. Quit Hatin.

  • nas' masterpiece was illmatic. His next best album would be stillmatic. Though it can be argued either way with It was written which was also thick. then i believe it is his untitled album. God's Son is also great(even though the production has been questioned) I am is then fifth. and his lost tapes should be honourable mention for some very great tunes. Street Disciple and Nastradamus have some good songs but werent Nas quality.. they didnt have the potency of his best works.

  • when he says alphabet boys still plottin against me to hush me up and stuff me in the pockets of history, does he mean CBS

  • @Nigger115 No he's talking about government law enforcement agencies (IRS, CIA, FBI, etc)

  • @IProphetI thank i forgot about that

  • @ZZZZRRRRZR Shut the fuck up!!!!!

  • Before they try take me!

  • ...the vision painted in this track is just so vivid, that's why I see it & relive it.

  • 1. Illmatic 2. Stillmatic 3. It Was Written 4. Untitled 5. God's Son

  • stillmatic > all

  • stillmatic > all ... even nas knows that

  • @BiggTrav1 ..I Am,the MOST spiritually influEnced Nas album ever,baby.... Im ashamed of you:) iMA BEAT YOO BUTT! Not to mention, Street Disciple...I c your a sometimmey Nasir FAN,HUH??

  • @wizdomborn1 i forgot I Am. my bad. 1. Illmatic 2. Sti;;matic 3. I Am 4. It Was Written 5. Untitled

  • @BiggTrav1 naw god's son should be number 3

  • This song is the truth!!! Asalam Alakum.

  • I love this thanks for the post!!!!!!!!!!

  • I believe this is Nas's most personal album. One that he has always wanted to make but couldn't until he established himself. This ode to the great Farrakhan would not have been possible early in his career because we wouldn't have listened.

I'm glad that he put his considerable talent in the service of expressing black angst and anger. This type of expression is dying in hip hop due to a jaded attitude among the new crop of rappers.

  • I somewhat agree that this is NaS's most personal album. I think all of his albums from Illmatic to Stillmatic were personal in the sense that they reflected his thoughts, attitudes, reflections, and feelings during that time. Also, this album is a culmination of NaS's fruition as an intellectual artist. Now, since he's grown up more, he's more worried about African-American oppression, Black Nationalism, UFOs, government conspiracies, and the problems of globalization.

  • You're right about the fact that most of the new era and breed of rappers are definitely not concerned about such issues as NaS (i.e. Gucci Mane, Soulja Boy Tell 'EM, and other nonsensical rappers). These are the ones that give Hip-Hop culture and Rap music a stereotype...Hip-Hop isn't quite dead but it needs to be resuscitated.

  • I agree but we differ in that I think black oppression and nationalism has always been apart of his work. As I see it,his dilemma was selling records or writing about the matters of his heart. From Ghetto Prisoners to Every Ghetto to Black Republican, both are done with a passion that is absent from his other work- IMHO. Yes, all of his work is personal but do you attach any importance to the him doing an entire album about black social issues and railing against the government?

  • Can you believe that they're saying Nas joined Jay-z with the Freemason alliance?!?

  • i lovve the song but ugh.........that album cover is hard to look at lol

  • imagine looking at your grandfathers back brother

  • Oh my God, Nas you got it

  • @all

the point is that Malcom did choose to leave N.O.I

and he did remain a Muslim but could not follow Elijah / or continue to be part of N.O.I

you can argue as much as you want about the motivations but these are the facts.

No one even commenting on the music? what the fuck brought you here? Its about the music.

  • useless arguement

  • damage control lol

  • @ :D

  • Minister Louis X of Boston Temple!

  • Another thing is the true followers of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad has the Which will Survive The Armageddon:Christianity or Islam board in their temples or Mosques but anyone of these sponsered by Farrakhanzier does not

  • Farrakhanzier is a Hypocrite. He even said he did not Believe in Master Fard Muhammad

(its on my favorites page) and he disobeyed The Honorable Elijah Muhammad by changing his teaching when THEM said not to change even a bit of his teachings plus he had those two marches in Washington D.C. when the Messenger said we do not have to do that..

  • We wont let them kill you! NAS!!!! top 5 dead or alive!!!

  • lious farakhan? ? well screw farakhan, elijah muhammed and the whole NOI...im rolling with malcolm "X" Little

  • why Malcolm, was a hypocrite

  • @hamisev how was he a hypocrite..? he knew what he wanted, and stayed tru to his beliefs..he spoke for all the opressed pple, not just blacks...the only problem is that he considered violent opposition to the status quo, which isnt all a bad thing, all he wanted was freedom for his pple and other minorities. . . .and wen he saw the wrongs Elijah did, he wasnt narrow minded to keep having blind faith, he immidiately removed all affiliations with the NOI...he was an independant thinker...

  • he believed in one thing then he denounced it

  • this man went to mecca way before 1963 and when he came back from the pilgrimage he was still calling white people their true self "devils"and then he goes again and says sees the light,Man what a bunch of bs.He only went against the Nation Of Islam because he wanted to be the leader. Also don't believe everything u hear because wasn't the NOI one of the Black Liberation Groups COINTELPRO TRYING TO TAKE DOWN

  • @hamisev Coming from someone who believes the lies about Monk-monk, NOI, and Yakub. Every animal has a side to them that is full of hatred and deception, not just white people. Everyone has the possibility to be a "Devil." It seems the NOI is full of Black people who have embraced the same contempt and hatred for their fellow man as the KKK has. The only path that leads to peace is one of love and understanding, not ignorance and blind faith. And yes, I am white, but I love all creatures.

  • p.S. Malcom still did not like white people thats why he never let them in meetings or join him even when he left the NOI

  • @hamisev

If someone offers to teach you how to bake a cake and then you find out theyve been teaching you about pies. Are you a hypocrite when you ditch the pies for cake?

Malcom thought he was learning Islam ...He was learning N.O.Islam which is different. So sh ditched that and piched up Islam. thats not hypocracy.

Malcom didnt believe NOI represented the Islam he was looking for, or what he thought he had been learning.

  • @TheScoutmanrenegade you a dummy cause malcolm x wouldnt be what he is if it wasn't for elijah muhammad

  • @nineballssj9 and you're a fucking idiot for saying that..go read a book

  • @beirut4ever no bitch you read...cause he even give thanks to elijah muhammad you dumb fuckin bitch

  • @nineballssj9 No disrespect but you need to read the history books. Nobody was intersted in what Elijah Muhammed had to say. If Elijah Muhammed had known what Malcolm X was to become he would have blocked him (FACT)!! Proof of which its only when malcolm grew in popularity (funnily enough with white people) tht the N.O.I looked for excuses to silence him. (PARMENENTLY)

  • @c3027700 yeah that could be true malcolm also said people in the nation was after him...after he spoke against elijah muhammad and also the same people that killed malcolm i believe are the same people that killed khalid and i heard khalid wife had something to do with his assassination...and i know there was money involved...

  • @c3027700 and this is sad as hell that black leaders are trying to lead the people for popularity contest....but i was saying before malcolm became wat he is because of elijah. what if he didnt join the NOI then what would he be?

  • @TheScoutmanrenegade stupid bitch

  • @tru2life9 lol ur pathetic dude..if u have nuthin better to say u shuld keep quiet..maybe then u can hide ur ignorance..

  • @TheScoutmanrenegade WOW... who raised Malcolm? Oh, ok I get it. Your rolling with Malcolm Little the thief and pimp... my bad, makes sense!

  • @Gingerd2008 "wow"! so im guessin uve never done wrong in yo life ryt? dnt have that whole "self righteous and holier than thou" mentality.. k so he grew up with no dad, and no guidance...but he stood for himself and alot of other oppressed people wen he got older.."who raised malcolm"? no who killed him?

  • @TheScoutmanrenegade What r u talkng abt? At wht point did I judge him? Where do u get off calln me self righteous? Grow up & elevate ur level of thinking. My point for the lame ~ Did u knw him b 4 the NOI? Were u followng him when he was a pimp or thief? Was he speakng to the masses & debating the best @ harvard etc b 4 b n taught by Elijah? NO!

  • @Gingerd2008 ok cool. u stated ur point and i get u now..i misunderstood ur comment. but u seem to have misunderstood myn 2...i sayd screw farakhan, elijah nd the NOI because im not for any1 who murders another person for makin up his mind and following his own path. there's this beautiful thing that God gave to us all called freedom of choice/freewill etc. btw, elijah's a hypocrite..thats why malcolm left.
