the 340 Had to have been the most underrated engine of all time

@XFXHITMAN The 340-4V was rated 275hp from '68 thru '71. The 340 Six-Pack was rated 290hp in 1970. In reality, the 340-4V made closer to 300hp. What set the LA MoPars apart from the other brands was the durability. This was especially true of the 340 and its predecessor, the 273hp. In stock form, GM and Ford engines had weaker bottom-ends and less stable valvetrain.
