ohh god i love med even though im almost 15...:P lol
im addicted to greys anatomy but i hardly ever understand what they're talking about when it comes to surgeries or stuff like that....!!! this was a gr8 vid.... hope you'll upload sth similar soon..:Pi realy liked it..!!:)))
This is why I believe in early ultrasounds, just to make sure things are where they should be. However, here in Canada you don't get an ultrasound until about your 18th week. I had a miscarriage at 12 weeks, and I have no idea when my baby died as I never got the ultrasounds. That's why they're so useful and shold be preformed at least in EARLY pregnancy
She didn't have a hysterectomy. A salpingo-oophorectomy is where they take the ovary and the tube on one side (bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy would be taking both sides). The uterus is still left... if they take the uterus also, then it is a radical hysterectomy.
Unfortunately, the answer is no. When a pregnancy is growing anywhere except in the uterus, the pregnancy poses serious risks to the mother's health and can even be fatal if the pregnancy is not terminated. No medical technology exists to move an ectopic pregnancy from the fallopian tubes to the uterus.
I just watched a documentary minutes ago on this, and a lady was pregnant with twins, then she found out she was having triplets, but one of the triplets was a ectopic, and there was only a 66millionth chance of the triplets surviving, but they all did and grew t be healthy
I'm sorry a2chickaa, but i think you should think positive about ectopic pregnacies, because I WAS ONE OF THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
IT'S NOT THAT MY MOTHER GOT LUCKY, BUT BECAUSE YOU GOT TO REALIZE THINGS HAPPEND FOR A REASON AND GOD WOULD NOT WANT THINGS TO HAPPENDS, JUST BECAUSE!!!!!!!!!!! I'M VERY BLESS THAT GOD GAVE ME LIFE.............
U CANT BE BORN FROM AN ECTOPIC PREGNANCY... I HAVE BEEN IN AND OUT OF HOSPITAL FOR 2 WEEKS NOW AND GOING IN FOR SURGERY 2MORROW TO HAVE IT REMOVED... dont u think if if there is any possibilty at all to have the baby instead of have it surgically removed most women would? son all u girls who have posted about have being born or no of sum1 who has been born from an ectopic that is 100% not possible... sorry but its true.. u can NEVER EVER turn an ectopic into a normal pregnancy...
That's weird. I thought with ectopic pregnancies that they operated IMMEDIATELY because you could bleed out and die if they didn't. I went in at 12:00 noon for a scan and I was in the OR at 13:30pm. My husband was begging them to wait but I had to tell him why they had to go so quickly. I hope you survived to your operation.

on top of christina's etopic pregnancy..she also had a hysterectomy! that is what salpingo-oopherectomy is!
izzyanddennyfan 3 years ago
She just had a fallopian tube and ovary removed...
ehere it has the little circled R and then salpingo-oophorectomy, it means the right tube and ovary.

Take it from someone who's been there.

a2chickaa 3 years ago
