  • @Rcota22 thats politicly incorect my sisters are from ethiopia and there black, i am proud to have black sisters

  • @LOLguinepig who gives a crap? we all have our own opinion's what makes you think its your business to go telling someone what they can and cant say?

  • @jankoz007rhythm /ˈriT͟Həm/ A strong, regular, repeated pattern of movement or sound.

    Now catch the bass

  • @jankoz007 It does.. just 7/8 lol

  • I love this song so much... Can't wait to go and see them in Sunderland O3O

  • Unless it's John, the chorus isn't shit, it's all about Anthony and Flea now.

  • @Flippy1fan and chad. don't forget him.

  • I dislike 2:22 - 2:38 ... I mean I'm not trying to be mean about Klinghoffer just because he's new, but this riff is so repetetive and I think if Frusciante did it, it'd actually have some variety in the note display.

  • @Listen4LedZeppelin agree.. even i thought of something cooler instead of repeating it

  • @Listen4LedZeppelin Well, if you have listened to ANY recent shows they've done, you'd know that Josh has improved exponentially. Go listen to solo at the end of Scar Tissue from this performance. /watch?v=eRW_snBgoeQ

While you're at it, go to 4:35 and listen to this jam.

    /watch?v=t_QUGfqQdsE&feature=related

See? Josh can put out some great riffs, too.

  • Äthiopien!!

  • 2:22 - 2:37.

  • Man the concert version of this is incredible about half way through the song Josh just starts singing like there is no tomorrow there is a few seconds where he actually sings part of it alone it is amazing. watch?v=70QLNvcTb5Q&feature=related

  • @toolfann67 I'd love to, but obviously we can't do that over the internet. Just show me one lyric page somewhere on the internet where it says "start your bass." Also, "toolfann67," my name is based off some of the lyrics of stinkfist. Just saying.

  • @anundeniabledilemma WOAHHH! I just realized that... That is coincidental. Your correct he says it starts with bass. I give you that one my friend.

  • Hell Yeah! 7/8! Love this!

  • Anyone else notice the extra 'E'? I'm guessing it's just catchier like that

  • @tazzmaniandeville (Yes I am replying to myself.) Apparently the line was sung so awesomely that I didn't notice the extra 'I' as well.

  • I just realized that the phrase he keeps using at the beginning of each line, is just the vouls in Ethiopia...

    E I O I A T H P

  • 2:02

  • 2.02 reminds me of the blockheads, brilliant stuff!!

  • In love with this song :') <3

    (but anyway,you're right,I noticed it too) :)

  • Tell him so he knoowww's xD

  • How is this song inspired by African music?...In fact, I don't see how any of the songs on the album are inspired by African music. Oh well. Good album though.

  • @Coocoopuff180 it's good because none of them sounded like they were inspired by African music

  • @Coocoopuff180 well for starters, it's called ethiopia

  • @lennonmccartney8 True. But it sounds nothing like african music.

  • @Coocoopuff180 According to Flea, the album is, at times, influenced by African music. "We've always loved African music. Throughout our career we've played some African bits, but we never really captured it right. Josh and I tripped around Ethiopia with a group called Africa Express. Ethiopia is such a beautiful place. So there are a couple African parts on the new songs. One is called "Did I Let You Know," which has a real African feeling, and there's another called "Ethiopia."

  • @lennonmccartney8 Yeah I knew that. Still doesn't sound anything like African music.

  • First Greece...then ETHIOPIA

  • 28 dislikes???? whaaaaaa???? this song is crazy good how could anyone not like this?

  • THIS REALLY ROCKS

  • Such a strange rythym but kickass song ^^

  • E I O I E I A

  • needs more guitar

  • @SilvanaGB7 nope, all it needs is some good old bass. I honestly think it was best for this song to have more bass then regular guitar.

  • Anthony Kiedis !!!\m/ rock

  • They wrote this song because when Flea took a trip to Africa, he got lost in a small town called Harrar in Ethiopia. Flea said it was a life changing experience, from the music to the culture.. You can hear it in the lyrics too.

  • @1BigSonicBoom1 I went to Ethiopia when I was 14 because my parents said they wanted me to see real poverty and it was definitely was eye opening

also this song has a great chorus!!

  • @1BigSonicBoom1 Josh was in Ethiopia with him...

  • @1BigSonicBoom1 flea would get lost. love that guy haha

  • such a catchy chorus

  • God bless Ethiopia

  • 7/4.. <3

  • @gaviezri its actually 7/8...

  • @TheFall0uts Actually, it can be counted either way. The 4 or 8 refer to how it's written, really. You can't judge the value of the beat without reading the music.

  • @aegar8389 Thats incorect but i dont have the time or energy to explain it so i hope you will understand 7/4 Money - Pink Floyd

    7/8 The Three Fates(4:50) - ELP

  • @TheFall0uts Having been a music major for the past 5 years of my life, I can say that it is all about personal favor with different examples. I count "Money" in 7/4, sure. This song I also count in 7/4. But someone else may count it in 7/8. Another person (although for their sake I hope they don't) might count it in 7/16. Another person might count it in 7/2. It's all about personal preference and/or about how it's written. If it IS written, there is only one way to count it. It's on the paper.

  • @aegar8389 Well said. Yeah, I'm also a music major, and I've realized that the bottom number of the meter really only applies to writing or comparison of pulse lengths for using playing in mixed meters (but this is all relative). It's the top number that actually defines the meter.

  • man listen to that bass, the chorus, the rythm, everything blends in such an awesome way, I think it's going straight into my top 10 red hot songs

  • I A O A I A E

  • @mefreudi i feel stupid now

  • E I O I E I A

  • I demand a music video for this!

  • im learning this in world history

  • What do you call an Ethiopian taking a shit?

    ..
