  • FEEL HELL!!!!!!! 666

  • This song and album are 220% industrial black metal. post-bm is more like sigh, arcturus, alcest, heretoir.. weird stuff.

  • It really sounds like the kick is programmed, but I'll believe that it's Hellhammer.

  • @Vondur Me too.

  • Hellhammer did the drumming on this album... He is a human drum machine god

  • desde cuando buscaba a esta banda..... exelente, banda, que inspiro a muchos...

  • insane riffs from 1:32 ........ just ....insane

  • beyond it's time

  • Thorns said he did touch Hellhammer's drumming up with Pro Tools. So it isn't all real, but he's still a beast on this album.

  • @SlayerMegadeth86 You're right, create is the wrong word, but they (along with Samael and some others) are the ones who made the genre popular enough to merit emulation.

  • i came

  • Scream in this song= puke your soul <3

  • 0:40; so freakin' intense!

  • fuck i thought these drums were programmed originally. its inhuman.

nice vocals on satyrs part. the guitar sound is so strangely digital chemical sounding

  • Glorious. The ending kills.

  • Take Trym, Kollias, Frost or Nick Barker, like Hellhammer they have been drumming for years, and have built up immense skill, it's a fact, some jealous idiot won't convince me otherwise.

Hellhammer just happens to be a very tight and talented musician, but he plays in the studio as he does live, him and his drums.

  • hellhammer mimes drums live

  • ask anyone you like....in all his records he is playing with drummachine.... only live plays normal...and dont be so offencive....just u dont know :)

  • @Lenourous You really are an idiot....If anything, the bands that Hellhammer plays in speed their shit up live. Seeing him play live multiple times, I can say that for fact. Maybe his studio work is triggered sometimes, but that's not a drum machine. When you play 5-6 hours a day in over 30 bands since at least 1985 you develope what is called skill. Pure fucking skill

  • @shoe800 only the bass drums were triggered on ordo ad chao, apparently...the guy's a genius, no doubt about it...and guys, don't feed the trolls...they are either ignorant or just liars to say that crap about hellhammer, either way they're losers who need to get out more if they just bullshit on youtube videos all the time...

I really hope Hellhammer's on the next mezzerschmitt album, whenever that eventually surfaces...

  • @Lenourous you are a fucking retard, learn your facts wortless shitstain ;) in the dimmu borgir bonus material dvd, you see him play in studio so fuck you ;)

  • to shame that is drummachine :(

  • @Lenourous You stupid cunt,ignorant new metal bastard spawn,...,die

  • Somewhere between 'Rebel Extravaganza' and latter Immortal.

  • ..to a higher order of music creation..

  • good song

  • Can't wait for their new album

  • This sounds like 1349. Or 1349 sounds like this hehe.. Nice tunes.

  • Wish I lived in Norway so I could buy this CD!

  • This is pure gold, a near perfect album.

  • fuck yes

  • wow this song is fucking awsom

i love the tone of the guitar

  • I bow down to the glory of the universe.

Welcome to my eternal star field domain \m/

  • This shit is so superior to mainstream metal. Kids these days just don't know about this glorious music.

  • well said

  • @baxter609 i know man its fuckin sad but i listen to some mainstream stuff

  • Great!!!

  • rad that snorre is sooo heavy

  • Thats not how norwegian black metal sounds, and i highly happy with that. Its more cosmic and space. Its kinda industrial space

  • It's a bit like Voïvod that would play black metal. Fuckin' great !

  • the best post-black metal album

  • @TheMinos21 - is it really post-black metal? Everyone says Darkthrone & Burzum created BM, but almost none remembers about the impact of Thorns' demos - this guy was the first to play prolongated riffs on tremolos, so different at that time from anything else - and then everyone copied it - Vikernes, guys from The 3rd and the Mortal, Satyricon, also Emperor. Snorre was very influential with '89 and '90 demos as Stigma Diabolicum...

  • @MrAniroe Venom is credited with creating black metal (and coining the term) Emperor/Cradle/Dimmu/Darkthrone are credited with creating the 2nd wave in 1990.

Since then it's just been evo-devo and exploring neighboring genres to acquire newer sounds. I wouldn't call this post-anything.

  • @MultiUniv3rsal Venom, Celtic Frost and so on - they were still immersed in trash metal style. Though Venom coined the term, I believe what Norwegians did was actually the most crucial step. I remember first Darkthrone release "Soulside..." in death metal genre and the way I was shocked after release of "A blaze...". Notice that Thorns made this music in late 80' and beginning of 90' (as Stigma Diabolicum and Grymyrk), so it is nothing post-bla, it is rooted in the first wave: Darkthrone, Burzum

  • @MrAniroe I agree 100% that the second wave is essentially where what we know today as black metal came from.

Although there were some early-comers that did have the sound, like Bathory and Mayhem. I just don't think that it culminated into it's own genre until albums like Nightside Eclipse and Stormblast came out refining the sound once and for all. (to be fair, I'm not a huge fan of low-production like darkthrone, etc.)

  • @TheMinos21 Too old to be post-bm no ? Although I agree it may be post-bm from an artistic point of view.

  • Ultimate drumming! HH rules!

  • @juuhaa1 Is this really Hellhammer drumming? I thought Thorns usually used computer drums.

  • @Terrorschlag

Hellhammer (Jan Axel Blomberg) (Session 1998-2000)

  • @Terrorschlag

    whats the difference?

  • @Terrorschlag

Snorre W. Ruch: guitars, bass, keyboards, vocals on track 8

    Hellhammer: drums

Bjørn "Aldrahn" Dencker: vocals on tracks 1, 3, 5

    Satyr Wongraven: vocals on tracks 2, 4, 5, 6

  • @skovils haha metal-archives hahah true though.

  • @Terrorschlag Yeah man, it's HH... Insane speed and endurance double bass... Hellhammer=GOD

  • Awsome! Guitars remind me of 1349 a bit, but obvisouly this was out before... same guitarist? Whatever the case fucking awsome!

    Lyrics are great too!!

  • this was done after 1349. this is a pretty new album.

  • kk sweet man, was my best guess :P

  • its Satyr. who is better

  • this is pure bm!

  • The break back into the song after "To my eternal starfield domain" is probably the best transition of all time.

  • Fuking great song!

  • sounds almost like he doesnt use triggers in this. does anyone know for sure?

  • Nice vid, I like music-videos with lyrics, the only error is venturer, its "wayfarer"

  • TO MY ETERNAL STARFIELD DOMAIN!!!

  • hellhammer, haha, you make all us normal drummers look and sound like shit :D

  • OMFG I love the drums! <3

  • GREAT
