@4EVERMYSERENITY Ha, thanks works out really good, i can still get into abouut 6 inches of water. if i could help you build your i would, I absolutly love to tinker around with stuff.
@joepace01 thanks again, what size trolling motor is that? and how fast would it propel you? I have a tarpon like I already mentioned and really don't want to go the bassyak route, I going to try and build my own like you did.
@4EVERMYSERENITY it is a 28 pound thrust minn kota (freshwater but it works) it moves pretty good, is stable and can still paddle with it down. I figured out a rig to raise and lower it from my seat but i havnt had the time to install it.
@joepace01 Let me bug you again if you don't mined, when I add the minnkota, is their a way to do this and control it with like pedal, what i mean is to install pedals in the front so that all i have to do is crank up the motor and the pedals could guide me left/right., i would hate to have to reach back to control the kayak, thanks again for your replies. you have now gotten me out of my 50 year old mindset. lol
IF you chop the motor mount you could get that center of gravity lower and the mount looks like it might cause drag. Otherwise I really like the mount and the entire setup.
@goezonthegoose i basicly took the top off the motor, disconnected it from inside, crimped long wires onto the existing wires ran them through the kayak and reconnected just as there where before. So, in short I made the wires longer.
YOU SIR ARE A GENIUS.

man you should market this or let me have you do mine, so much cheaper this way than to buy a bassyak motor for my tarpon 120
