But seriously SOPA and PIPA are ridiculous. Piracy is already illegal and piracy sites can be taken down without these bills. The vagueness of these bills allow freedoms to be taken away. Down with the lobbyists. :)

ive been up on things too man and believe it or not, things are in the works still. heard of the ACTA? probably not, because its been talked about behind closed doors since october, which effects the agriculture and more (i believe theres a vid on youtube about it). and SOPA is an ignorant act, and theres so many hooks on it that'll try to control your rights which sucks. But yeah man, this is the ignorant capital of the word lol

Also about piracy, I think it is hard to justify it as stealing or not stealing respectively. Why? Because when you copy and distribute something free online it isn't stealing in the same sense as stealing a tv or such. Its simply copyright violation. But I dont think piracy is nessacerely a bad thing. Most of the time keeps the prices for the originals at a reasonable rate and can be used to show ones product to more people )like a commercial). People will pay to forward something they like.

I do especially agree with the point you made on why Politicians are trying to enforce how we use it internet! Even a 'regressed' form of this act will still be too much, I think what they should shut down is just the torrenting sites, period.

Also, I do know companies may lose a certain amount of money (to SOME degree) but I seriously doubt they are losing "billions" - because, if you consider the fact that most pirates weren't going to purchase anything at a local store ANYWAYS. :)

Another good point toward the end of your video.. Why DO we have blank CD's?? Just ask them that! Same with Flashdrives or other Flash technology where you can copy literally dozens of things and just hand them to people. I remember one time where a friend had plugged in a few USB adaptors to his computer (each adaptor i think had at least 5-8 different USB ports) and used every one of his drives to copy music onto it for his friends.... What, they gonna ban those?

Awesome stuff Tico! Here in Portugal our president was caught red handed saying how he would not be able to live with his measly retirement, and that he is also going trough a crisis. Only thing awkward about that is that he only receives ten thousand euros/month, just 20 times more then the minimum retirement! I agree with the old guys coment, sure we need experienced people, but the young politician should get the spotlight before they are corrupted! (Continued in the next comment)
