  • This is amazing, what brush did you use for when you did the inking/lineart? :)

  • Gotta admit, it looks a little bit like Gollum.

  • So how much in total would it cost if I bought a program and a pad that are ok-decent?

  • Excellent piece

  • Man, this is sick. Your style kinda remembers me of One Piece, but, man, THIS IS FUCKING AMAZING!

  • how do you get from that construction line to... to... that

  • dope...

  • Bacana o trabalho! look my jobs!

    congratulations from brazil

  • Bacana o trabalho! look my jobs!

    congratulations from brazil

  • fucking sweet

  • My brother, I can not watch a video of a man dieing. It is beyond my composite to view.

  • your a real pro ! verry verry inspiring work for this beginner. Can I ask how you started out ? And looking back what is the fastest/best way to learn to draw.,,

    thanks in regard man,

    your awesome

  • Great work! It's amazing how you make the default Photoshop brushes look so painterly. Even with a Wacom, brush strokes in PS have a particular, and slightly generic look. These strokes always stick out like sore-thumbs, but there is none of that in this artwork. Thanks for sharing. =)

  • Thats truly incredible!! Is it easy drawing on a tablet? Or is it just like paper?!!

  • @abbym89 Truly amazing right? He makes it look like he is creating an ink drawing on paper. A tablet has a different feel than paper. For beginners finding the transition awkward, it is advised they put a thin-sheet of paper on top of their tablet. There are also different pens/nibs that can be purchased that try to emulate the "feel" of drawing/painting on paper. With time and practice, even drawing on the tablet begins to feel natural.

  • Great picture! I was wondering what the how low the opacity was on the initial sketch?

  • I'm guessing it took many years to draw like that.

  • omg u r amazing

  • #LOL very nice =), Vhal79 #FTW

  • #OMG

  • awesomeeeee!!! ugly monter, is perfect for a book i love it!!!

  • omg you did this with photoshop?that's amazing I've gotta try it lol

  • THAT IS FUCKING SWEET! man.. what program.. and how much was your drawing pad thingy.. if your using a drawing pad..

  • Thanks!

I use Photoshop mostly but there are a lot of good programs out there, I would suggest Sketchbook Pro from Autodesk, it's about 4x cheaper then Photoshop and does everything you need to draw on a tablet/pad.

You can look up Wacom Tablets, some good ones run from anywhere from couple hundred of bucks to couple grand. :)

  • whats a good tablet to start off with and can i get one for under £100?

  • @ketaminebean there is one called Hanvon its 50 bucks not the best but it works

  • u're my inspiration, love the inky effects!!!!!

  • I drew something a couple of days ago, and posted it on my profile, but its not as good as this. . . :|

  • this is really good, how do you get your brush like that???

  • I used default Photoshop brushes as well ones that came with Wacom Tablet installation disc.

    Hope this helps :)

  • that is wicked

  • photoshop ???

  • Yeah :)

  • thats hot...!!!

    five stars.

i love this kind of art its awesome.

  • what is this software? where can i find it?

  • Photoshop CS, recorded with Camtasia Studio 5. Hope this helps

  • Wicked looking.

How do you know where light/shade will be? Experience or is there some kind of technique to it?

  • For the most part its experience, but this drawing is a bad example of proper shading (or proportions) it was more of a doodle I did to check out recording programs. :)

  • Cool, it rocks anyways. :]

  • It looks to me like you've got it down... I'm a huge fan of high contrast drawings, it's almost all I do, and your use of light and where it falls on the figure is killer. Awesome work.

  • y can evry1 ink shade(i think thats the right name 4 it) except me?!?!

can some1 please teach me 2 ink shade??? plz!!

  • Most of the contrast "ink" shading comes from old school comic books (at least for me.) Hope this helps!

  • This is magnificent sketch. check out my "how to draw" videos.

  • I have! They're looking good, you're very talented! Thanks for invte btw :)

  • Dobra robota! Good job!

  • Great monster, mate! I love the character concept you used to build up to the monster itself. :] Keep up the work!

  • where can i find the program u used

  • I think he used adobe photoshop. you can google it, it's very expensive.

  • I was gonna fav it but the face killed that idea.

  • "monster" was the idea of the drawing

  • the face was the best part, wtf kind of shit you been smokin?

  • It was the eyes. didnt care for 'em

  • you mean the comical value of them?

not everything has to be serious lol

  • true

  • great work whitch program did you use?

  • Drawing on a Wacom tablet in Photoshop. Recorded with Camtasia Studio. Hope this helps :)

  • why is this video upside down??

  • no dw i fixed it-on my screen dunno bout urs-lol

  • it was a april fools joke lol

  • great. Good job. subscribe OH YEAH :)

  • what the hell!! y are u talking bout anatomy when its a fucking monster!!!

    anatomy rules dont apply

  • anatomy rules always apply in living things. even if its not a humanoid, you still need to know how muscles flow into each other and where to show bone structure vs where to cover it with skin/fat/muscle, etc. 15 years of concept art and anatomy still hasnt gone away for me

  • i agree... you cant have an asymmetryc structure...

  • Nice style. Just do a bit of anatomy study ;)...

  • Of Goblin warriors?

  • A good anatomy is a fundamental basic for any kind of character illustration. Here it is visible a lack of anatomy and perspective basics (hands, torso, face elements)...

  • T'was just kidding. :o

  • why not

  • what is tablet?

  • A tablet is a drawing peripheral. Basically it allows you to use a special pen on the tablet, and makes the marks show onscreen

  • do you use a tablet?

  • Surely.

  • Yes, I use a Wacom tablet :)

  • NICE!!!!!!!

  • i was gna say exactly the same thing

  • Draw Beelzabub.

  • вообще нормуль!!!!!!

  • i like ur style. gj

  • thats a cool monster, i like what you did there. well done. Hope you make some more ^^

  • GREAT;)

  • Bra-Fucking-Vo thats all I have to/can say.

  • argh! The camera moving is annoying

  • youtube wont let me post a link =(

just make sure you leave the e off of blue > blu

would really appreciate your opinion =)

  • Still not able to find it :(

Possible to send the link via private message?

  • hey,

if you search bludee. deviantart. com, then you can check out my version of this. I really liked the image, and as i'm new to Photoshop, i wanted something to copy.

    Comments welcome =)

  • I wasn't able to find it. Can you post a link? :)

    Thanks!

  • Could anyone tell me the program used in making this?

  • photoshop....

  • i like your brush style. do you have a tutorial or can you send me a private message of how you have your brush set up?

  • I use default Photoshop brushes. I'm used to drawing with a regular pencil and never really found much use for special brush settings (doesn't mean I never use them of course ;) )

  • great job dude .. it's will be cool if u put music! 5/5

  • Thanks! Newer videos have music, I didn't think of adding music when I did this one :(

  • man thats to damn awesome, killer line work 5stars.

  • i Think that is great. do you do this for a living?

  • Currently I work as a concept artist and a game designer for wireless games (cellphones.) There's a few videos floating around that I've worked on (Zoo Tycoon Marine Mania, Line Rider Mobile)

    :)

  • great job, a few pumpkin bombs and heel look like the goblin!

  • great painting, but Im missing music a bit in the video :/

    although 5 stars ;)

  • pretty decent

  • decent? this is perfect!

  • this is quite cool but saying its perfect is a bit to much, if you want to say amazing work check out cgsbgs' work

  • haha i saw his video's later and yeah...that is PERFECT and this is perfect...not PERFECT ;)

  • Chris Scalf's paintings are fantastic :)

  • Great job! 5 star
